From the Wisconsin State Journal:
"I just didn't know they were going to happen so quickly. So soon. I was busy trying to move our family and the next thing I know, I had 4,000 people outside my home in Wauwatosa."
It didn't take long for the governor's mansion to become the family's only refuge. The governor and first lady didn't go out to eat or attend teacher conferences at their sons' school.
The family received threats. Protesters confronted their teenage sons in grocery stores, she said.
"'We hate your husband,' 'We hate your father' ... of course those things are hard to hear," Walker said.
After a while, the stress wore on her. She would choke up watching the news. She even called the governor and his staff, questioning them about the controversy. "I would say to Scott ... 'Is this really, really what you have to do?'" she said. "And after he would explain it to me, I would be better again."
Another political wife. By the way, she's 11 years older than Governor Walker. And her maiden name is Tarantino. She met Scott Walker at a karaoke bar in Milwaukee:
Every time someone would rise to head to the stage to sing, the two would lock eyes and make approving or disapproving faces at one another....
Toward the end of the night, the young man rose to leave. As he passed, the future governor handed her a napkin with his phone number on it. Five months later the two returned to Saz's, where Scott Walker proposed to her the same way — on a napkin.

The opposition is so classy.
A Democrat would have proposed using Twitter. With a photo.

And grasping shrouded bulges sneeringly.
With the trophy wife being so popular for politicians and athletes; I guess it is a tribute to our current and former governors that they went in the completely opposite directions.
Awwww that is sooooo sweet.
We hate your father.
What total lowlifes to do that to a child. How is it that these Dem "activists" have any credit left at all with the general public in Wisconsin? So much for the myth of midwestern niceness.
Tonette Tarantino is a beautiful-sounding name. It rolls melodically off the tongue.
It's ridiculous to blame the sins of the father (if any) on the sons. I hope, like any good teen, the kids greeted the pronouncement with an eyeroll and a whatever. Or a grunt. That's about all it merits.

If a tribute to the Special Olympics did not give them pause..
Although there are always a few asshats out there, most people in Tosa like the governor even if they don't agree with his policies. Wauwatosa is a 50/50 town ideologically, which provides for a much better atmosphere for respectful political debate than an enclave community.

I've just come to expect this from liberals nowadays.
The worst offenders in the city with regard to being civil are the school teachers. These clowns were protesting their contracts by picketing schools and not hanging children's art for parent-teachers conferences, as well as not writing letters of recommendation for students long before Scott Walker was governor.
Who cares?
Nancy Reagan made a great wife to a husband whose life was wrapped up in Politics.
As to the lady's fears ... Sure. I see her point of view. She can't call the police for protection. She can't call on the State Police for support.
That's the bummer.
But it's fixable. At some point this will become a fixable problem.
While the woman can return to her kitchen and bake cupcakes.
Why do men who have to be strong marry women who are weak? Oh, and this one is 11 years older! Did Scott Walker marry mom?
Threats?
Well, in a way that's good - means the opposition is terrified and powerless.
Sucks for her family, and is telling for the quality of the opposition, but what can be read out of it is actually heartening.
(Especially since that kind of trash isn't likely to even attempt to follow through on a threat, let alone succeed.)
"It's ridiculous to blame the sins of the father (if any) on the sons."
It's more than ridiculous. It's reprehensible.
And to top it off, I'd be willing to bet the farm that these same people attribute the actions of their political opponents to "hatred".

The problem isn't the midwest, but rather a small group of crazy assholes, some of those in Madison being from Chicago, New York City, California, etc..., that live in an alternate universe.
The rest of Wisconsin is quite friendly in comparison to Madison.
There are sane people in this state. Unfortunately, I live where they're not (Madison).
O: "My husband's face is lined with worry. He hardly gets a day off!"
Aw. Poor guy.
W: "My kids get insulted at the grocery store. We can't go out as a family because of the threats".
Whatever.
That's life in the leftist universe. Tails they win, heads we lose.
Protesters confronted their teenage sons in grocery stores
I don't think I could pick Sasha or Malia Obama out of a crowd (depending on how unobtrusive the Secret Service was). These leftists have studied pictures in the news looking for images of children of their political opponents so they could find the children and intimidate them.
How far gone is someone's humanity when they can look a fellow human being in the eye and tell them they hate them because of what political party their dad belongs to? It's one thing to be an anonymous ass online, but in real life, you have to be a pretty big piece of garbage to berate some kid in a grocery store.
"I would say to Scott ... 'Is this really, really what you have to do?'" she said. "And after he would explain it to me, I would be better again."
This was like my wife during the Iraq War, when we were living in France and I was a pin cushion for every idiot with a Che' t-shirt.
What Libruls Have Wrought seems to be the theme for today.
That Malia, she's just so smug!
I would never abuse a pol's family member but I'd love to give some longtime Beltway elected poobahs a piece of my mind.
Biden, McCain, Specter, Hatch would be some examples I'd have no reluctance to spout off at.
I'm sure garbage mahal is in full approval.

It also merits our scorn. We cannot (long) have a civil society if such acts of incivility are allowed to become commonplace. I'm not calling for legal proceedings. I'm asking that we actively express our disapproval of such conduct.
"And after he would explain it to me, I would be better again."
I'll bet (I hope) she wants that one back.
On the other hand, you marry a chick from Saz's who is 11 years older than you?! I'm tempted to say something about permanent beer goggles, but she has to have something going for her.
Way to get your man, Tonette!
By the way, she's 11 years older than Governor Walker. And her maiden name is Tarantino. She met Scott Walker at a karaoke bar in Milwaukee...
Why that's no wife-- that's...a whore! Of course, suckin' GOP-frat boy d*ck is like a career strategy for many a middle aged floozie
"Why that's no wife-- that's...a whore!"
Fuck you.
heh heh-- no fuck you, you WASP biz major faggot-scab.
Capichay?

Liberal par excellence
Funny, as much as I detested Doyle, it never would have occurred to me to harass his family or otherwise act like a jackass.
On the one hand, we have the Hildabeast, Huma, and Elizabeth Edwards; OTOH, we have Tonette Walker.

This has nothing to do with humanity, this has to do with power and winning.
Remember, the Gospel According to Uncle Saul says there is no morality or humanity, only winning.
PS When I was a kid, the tonette was a musical instrument a little like a piccolo.
Weird seeing it as someone's name.
PPS I'd say J is the Titus of Creep Leftists, but Titus doesn't deserve that cheap a shot.
As goofy and offensive as Titus is sometimes, his joy and humanity shines through. Titus shares little tidbits baout his life and I feel like I understand and know him on some level. J, is just gutter trash. There are automated spambits with more warmth and humanity than J exhibits. In some fundamental way he is a very damaged person.
In some fundamental way he is a very damaged person.
Well, yes - by definition all geldings are fundamentally damaged.
Heh heh heh.
See, here's the problem OClarki--yr white trash. WASP skank. Like the whore that gave you birth.
Bout explains it in a nutshell, puto. Crying to yr queer crony Titus don't have shit to do with it. She/He's on yr side anyway, scab
... actually sofa trash, mo'... anarchist than liberal you bag of biz major garbage. Then you don't know f**K about classical liberalism either
MadisonMan makes a very nice point regarding her maiden name, Tonette Tarantino...reminds me of one of my favorite Carol Burnette scenarios where she describes a childhood heroine's name to be, Theresa Trenterino and repeats it in different rythms and emphasis. I always get a kick watching the liberals reveal their true colors, when any person or relationship demonstrates honest diversity. They're right there to throw stones and mock the "diversity". And then there's J...projectile vomiting on the world through his keyboard...careful with that trick J, you are at high risk for aspiration.
re J;
DON'T FEED THE TROLLS!!
Sad, Rocketman, to talk about yr bum daddy like that
Yr the faggots here, frat boys. Like yr queer-in-charge Scott Walker, Miss Ryan, Ramney, Pawlenty, Cain, tc. Thats the biz major/scab/management fags. Entiendes, evangelico basura?
Cluck away, capón, cluck away. Never be a rooster, can't do the hens. Just good for roasting, and the whole world knows it.
BWAAAAACKKK!!!
People actually know what the governor’s kids look like? Pretty sure I couldn’t pick my Gov’s kids out of a lineup. Actually, come to think of it, I don’t even know if Beebe has kids or how many or anything like that. The only reason I knew Huckabee had any was because I met one and then heard rumors about another one.
So, I’d put that one down to creepy (but sadly typical of this crowd it seems)
They're queer as a 3-dollar bill, yall: Paul Ryan and Glenn Beck
Miss Ryan's just been payin off people for a long time
I hope, like any good teen, the kids greeted the pronouncement with an eyeroll and a whatever. Or a grunt. That's about all it merits.
No. Picking on a child MERITS a broken fucking libtard jaw, on general principle. And if it happened in front of me, the libtard would be running a nontrivial risk of having it happen in a fraction of a second, and eating meals through a straw until the next election cycle.
Libtard, meet moral hazard. Moral hazard, meet libtard.
Jason, You named your fist Moral hazard?
hey rocketchump you the maricone here coward, like yr hairdresser hero Runtney
step in a ring tough guy--818 side-- frat boy.
ill knock you the f**k out
Well, you know the phrase "put up your dukes?" Or "duke it out?" It comes from "Dukes of Hazard." Dukes of Moral Hazard!
People actually know what the governor’s kids look like?
That was my thought as well.
How small a big town is 'Tosa though? That might account for locals knowing them, but why would a local accost someone that way? Not very neighborly. To say the least.
Heh. I prod, you squawk - just like always. You're nothing but a pet to play with. Squawk some more for me - I'm not tired of you clucking on command yet!
The napkin proposal was not a romantic gesture: it was a nod to the origins of the Laffer curve: http://www.polyconomics.com/gallery/Napkin003.jpg
Since Wisconsin is an Open Carry state, all she has to do is pack a (compact) .45 and suggest to commie scum that they get lost.
Chants of "Commie traitor, you die" are probably contraindicated but not a true threat.
"How small a big town is 'Tosa though? That might account for locals knowing them, but why would a local accost someone that way? Not very neighborly. To say the least."
A huge lefty community borders Wauwatosa on its east side. It is filled with Milwaukee school and city employees, to include the mayor, forced to live in the city due to residency laws. They shop the same grocery stores, etc. as the area where the governor lives.

J do the first, last and only usefull act of your worthless miserable excuse for existance and kill yourself in a gaiea friendly way.And have a nice day.
Ha ha... Tosa's description of the city reminds me of descriptions of Ramadi I read in intel reports when we were setting up there in 2003: Ramadi was a Sunni-dominated town largely made up of mid-level Ba'ath party officials loyal to Saddam Hussein, and much of the core of his regime's administration, to include Republican uard officers, and many of his most thuggish enforcers were recruited from tribes in and around Ramadi.
Maybe we should bring back dueling. Andrew Jackson shot a man for this kind of crap.
"Oh, and this one is 11 years older! Did Scott Walker marry his mom?" - Carol Herman
Wow, how... open minded of you.
Sorry to hear your mom was cranking out kids at 11 years old; sounds like a bit of a tart. ;)
J
These people are friends of mine
You seriously need a Texas sap upside your head.
PS: Internet Tough Guy-I have been a major city cop for 27 years and you don't scare me in the least
"mo'...anarchist than liberal" - J
Oh, like the little school kids at the protests banging on 5 gallon buckets with sticks fancied themselves as "anarchists"? Sure J, all your posts are just dripping with Libertarianism. You'll need to drop the libtard talking points if you want to advance that premise.
I'm sure Titus had a chuckle over your homophobic comment, though.
sarge here omg cud thar story be any more pathetik? kareoke and the saz?
oh for fucks sake has it cum to thiz?
