At the non-gay gym I go to, it seems that the older and fatter a man is, the more likely he is to prance naked around the locker room. Disgusting. I bet Barney never has a stitch on.
It's 11:54 according to my computer screen. Daylight savings time, east coast, USA.
The world has not come to an end, and there are only a few minutes left here, a few hours over there, before today isn't today anymore.
As a Christian this non event was always a non event. I have too many daylilies to mulch and three clients who need to know how much God loves them and that He is trustworthy. I trust Him to know when He will make all things beautiful.
I feel somewhat sorry for those who followed Mr. Camping.
Sometimes it's like that -- All you want is to sit in the cafe And stare out the window At the grey day and the nondescript street And the cars going by -- That melancholy pleasure. But No!..even that's denied.
Ah well, tomorrow is another day... To quote Maggie.
I like Cain. Straight-talking, likable, and blacker than Zero. In the hyper-sensitive world of the liberal mindset, supporters of Cain really should be given inoculate 'status', but of course non-liberals 'know' differently. A person like Cain wears the 'Uncle Tom' moniker as a badge of honor, proof of liberal bigotry.
As far as Daniels is concerned, I couldn't be more underwhelmed. My reaction to his announcement: I too have decided to not run for President. Because my wife said so.
"A report released Thursday by City Controller Wendy Greuel found that about 1,000 Los Angeles city parking citations were dismissed over a two-year period -- some without justification -- as part of the Gold Card operation."
Oh, the irony of the controller named 'Gr(e)uel'...
Once again, I submit:

Yes DT2012, something "we" can agree on as it's good to find common ground lol.
What's amusing, I gave up on the Indians futility in the late '60s becoming a "Big Red Machine" fan. 1976 was great when the Reds beat the Yankees (4) straight in the WS. It was the 1st year they used the designated hitter in the WS and Danny Driessen hit over 400.
I digress.
But I started payin' attention to the Indians again in the early '90s after I got out of the navy.
btw, once upon a time I was a die hard Pete Rose fan, but now he can suck on an egg!
Most of my family is from PA/OH so we're either Bucco fans or Tribe fans (with the occasional Yankee fan thrown in just to be stupid).
Have been a long-sufferin' Tribe fan since the 70's. The 90's were a good ride. Wonder whatever happened to Albert 'don't call me Joey' Belle. The guy could hit but was a complete asshole.
Any who I am loving this unexpected success early on - sorry guy, we got ya 2 out of 3 this time.
Remember, the baseball season is a marathon, not a sprint. Anything can happen.
The Indians 95/97 lineup was every bit as good as the Big Red Machine w/Manny batting 5th and Jim Thome batting 6th.
I too was a Pirates fan, my Dad was born in Osceola Mills, PA and we'd go to a family reunion in Tyrone every Aug. Matty Alou, Manny Mota, Gene Alley, Bill Maz, Willie and Roberto. Used to listen to both WLW Cincinnati and KDKA Pitts w/Bob Prince. And could watch Channel 2 KDKA Pitts on occasion if the atmospheric conditions were favorable.

Paula Deen, save us.
Many English words and phrases sound better expressed in a romance language, e.g., Italian but crema di funghi is not one of them.
Well, then, pick up the can and put it in the trash.
I can't find any news about Barney Frank.

Sorry to be late to the Courthouse Cafe meeting. But, here are four dandy ones from central Texas:

Fucking Democrats. Acting as expected.

Professor Bunyip is back.
I see that comments are back on historic posts. Congratulations! "All's well that ends well?"
Mitch Daniels is out. Fine with me.
And not a moment too soon.
Mitch Daniels is out.

I think Daniels isn't running, so all this discussion is moot!

Cain is in. That's the best political news of the day.
Of course, the tolerant, non-racist, loving liberals already called him an Uncle Tom.

A pretty little song of thanks on a Sunday morning: the Innocence Mission, with "Medjugorje".
@don't tread
As far as Daniels is concerned, I couldn't be more underwhelmed.
He didn't interest me enough to even bother to research. Bland is not what the GOP or the nation needs right now.
Everything I've seen from Daniels was wishy-washy equivocation. I'm glad that he's out.
I'm seeing more and more to like about Herman Cain, though.
Let's see: Huckabee's out, Newt and Romney are flailing, Daniels out. I'm pretty happy.

Please stop with the disingenuous valediction.
Just ignoring my posts would be easier as this is one of a gazillion political blogs on the net of no consequence ...

"take care"
More disingenuous valediction on top of disingenuous valediction.
Sigh.
On a more positive note, Shiloh, HOW ABOUT THEM INDIANS!!!!!

At 57, thanks to Althouse, I've discovered that "cafe" means something completely different from what I thought.
