But nonetheless, I think we're all quick to pull a race card in America, and now I'm more open, [due to] the poetic justice that I feel to have went through the same thing that he went.
Kayne is a numbnut. The moron was on a tv show after Katrina and the myriad of images of images of just how the leftards of this country have shown us their brand of what it is to be a democrat and then blames it on Bush with the moniker that "Bush hates black people."
And now he tries to equivocate what it feels like to be called a racist? Who the fuck do these fools think they are trying to fool? This moron needs a good old fashioned beat down for being so stupid.
Dubya made the decision not to go to NOLA because it would cause more harm, in terms of the security concerns getting in the way of relief efforts, than any good, including immediate political points, that might have come from it.
West wouldn't understand that and our National Socialists would condemn it whether they understood it or not.
WV "festest" What Ken Curtis' proficiency with a six shooter made him.
Bush has nothing to be ashamed of vis a vis his Katrina rescue operations. He did all that a president could do and more, and threw in more resources than any previous rescue. Despite the fact that people were stuck in the superdome for a few days it should be remembered that they were safe and dry there and the rescue operations had to be done to rescue people in their houses who who stuck on their roofs. There was food at the dome the entire time, and there were no rapes or murders. It was all a media fabrication, one of the worst in the history of media. There were no cannibals, no shooting at helicopters, Bush did not know about levees being breached ahead of time, Bush did not steer the hurricane to Katrina nor hold back on support because black people were there. No racial dialogue was needed (and I note, the media never actually had that dialogue once it was no longer necessary to pummel Bush). IT should be noted that despite all the failure of FEMA we were able to get all the stranded people out of NO via helicopter in less than 2 weeks and had them situated in neighboring states immediately. What do you expect with the worst natural disaster we've ever faced. Bush was blamed for not personally building the levees and for the fact that NO citizens were too poor to own cars. Well, if that were the case it would have been nice if NO had used those buses to get the people out of there since they had a day or so to move. But no. New Orleans had no exit strategy and people felt they could deal with the hurricane and didn't want to leave their house, like they had done countless times before. And it bit them on the ass. But that wasn't Bush's fault. Even in a minor hurricane they say you're on your own for a few days while the rescue workers get to you , and in such hurricanes the city isn't usually totally flooded and all electricity gone. If it was like a third world country, that's what happens when your city is flooded and the power grid is down. Again, not George Bush's fault. All the libs who piled on Bush or accused him of racism for not getting the blacks out in 3 days can go f themselves.
Two completely different situations. Bush was criticized by someone that knows little about what a president can and can't do. Hell, I'm not a big fan of the way the Bush White House handled Katrina and have often wondered why they didn't just start evac'ing people via chopper regardless of LA's lack of request...but that's a far cry from telling the entire nation a leader doesn't care about a specific racial group.
Contrast that with West's own admitted moment, the interruption of Swift. Nobody held a gun to his head. He did something universally regarded as completely idiotic. I remember the wafts of racism being raised afterward but, as he's black in the first place, they didn't legs (if wafts can indeed grow legs...but I digress). In any case, West's case was the public and punditry calling him out for the selfish oaf that he was.
Two completely different circumstances and his amazing ability to equate the two is nothing short of monumental dissonance.

Because the people at the superdome were safe and there was food and doctors there the whole time (even prior to the hurricane). The people stranded in their houses weren't safe. The priority was rescue and then evacuation as it should have been. And that's not totally true. They did evacuate people who needed medical attention ahead of time, but the mass evacuations couldn't be started until the rescue operation were over.
I heard someone argue that the superdome had no working toilets. Again, that's what happens when you get stuck in a flooded city that loses all power. No toilets. So it might stink a bit. Should have heeded the warning and left ahead of time. But ,should the rescuers have diverted resources to fly toilets to the superdome when there were people who might be drowning or who were stuck on their roofs?
Kanye sounds to me as though he's a little older but wiser. It may not be a regular apology, but he sounds like a chastened man who's gained some empathy. At the time of Katrina, he was huge star, selling #1 albums with street cred AND critical acclaim - every music and hip hop critic put him the top rung of hip hop with exceptional writing skills.
He's not the first talented kid to lose his head in the swirl of fame and acclaim and he won't be the last. His willingness to show empathy to George Bush is a start I welcome.
His willingness to show empathy to George Bush is a start I welcome.
When he grows up enough to apologize, then I'll consider it a start. Until then, this is just more self-serving bovine excrement.
What's next? He understands what it felt like to be Rosa Parks because he got drunk and bullied a 19-year old blonde girl who probably weighs all of 105 lbs.?
He was the one pulling the race card in the first place! Rather than connecting with GB, maybe you should change yourself to stop being such an asshole.
Very special guests: David Lee Roth and Henry Louis Gates
Hey, let's show David Lee Roth some respect. Despite all of his fame and wealth, he became a paramedic in New Jersey. He didn't have to do that.
My son (an ER nurse) pulled a shift with him last year at 29 Palms. He said that "having David Lee Roth follow you around for 12 hours calling you 'sir' was really cool." He said that Roth has trained very hard to be a paramedic and is quite good at it. It's a tough job, one that I respect highly. As I understand it, he's even received special tactical training to work with SWAT teams.
I just saw a blurb about Swift's new album doing exceptionally well. As a joke, the next time she goes up for an award, she need to have the microphone handcuffed to her wrist and two extremely large bodyguards that walk out on stage with her, only to face the rear of the stage before she starts talking. She would then quip something like "sorry for all the security, but I heard Kanye was here".
So Kanye says/does two moronic things HIMSELF, and finds a larger truth about America in the juxtaposition? His self-absorption seemingly knows no bounds.
His grandiosity attains a kind of grandeur.....Last month when I had to fast for my colonoscopy, I thought of all those brave Americans who died of hunger in Japanese POW camps. How sorry I was that they were not alive to witness my brave endurance.

Shouldn't Kanye feel more 'connected' with Brett Favre?
West should feel connected to Jon Stewart, Bill Maher, and Stephen Colbert. They are all ignorant clowns.
But nonetheless, I think we're all quick to pull a race card in America, and now I'm more open, [due to] the poetic justice that I feel to have went through the same thing that he went.
But did he apologize for saying that about Bush?
Shouldn't Kanye feel more 'connected' with Brett Favre?
No. More "connected" with Flipper, actually.

Albatross,
He's a liberal, so he considers that an apology.
I asked a liberal friend what he thought yesterday represented, and he said, "the rest of the country's filled with fucktards."
They're hopeless.
I doubt he knows what the word means.

Yeah. Sure.
Ask the millions of Africans who have a better future because of GWB how racist he is.
What's Kanye West's record with Afica?
Oh. Wait. He's too busy jumping up and grabbing the stage.
Kanye West is a self righteous idiot.
Kanye believes his own act of drunk and arrogant boorishness equates to the blame Bush took for the local and national responses to a hurricane?
The only connection here is that between a molehill and a mountain.
W. and Kanye should tour together.
West: I ain't sayin' she a gold digger

I would pay to see that tour, but only if David Allen Coe is on the bill.

Put me down for non-impressed.
Kanye's still a hateful, ignorant, asshole. In other words, a typical representative of the left.

Buses? they were stranded at the dome with no one to drive them. The police ran out of the city. And why people didd not even try to ran away?
