If they are listening at all, it would be to reminiscences, taking them back to a time before they measured out their lives with coffee spoons.
Talk about past hopes, fears and uncertainty as students are why they are now skilled men and women in a great profession. They got far more out of their struggling experience than they realized at the time. That will win the audience over with a sincere approach, which is seldom tried.

And nothing -- absolutely nothing -- is beyond your reach, so long as you’re willing to dream big, so long as you’re willing to work hard. So long as you’re willing to stay focused on your education, there is not a single thing that any of you cannot accomplish, not a single thing. I believe that."

Thats funny on so many levels.

Why do I [AA] blog? (main rationales)
When do I blog? (is it 24/7?)
How do I blog? (technologies you use)
What have been some unanticipated items?
What are some benefits?
Do I want to quit blogging?
Why do not I?
What next?
Why not YouTube blog?
Do I have dreams about being a NYT columnist?
