Boehner on the climate bill: "Hey, people deserve to know what's in this pile of s--t."

Well, if it's a pile of shit, I'm guessing: shit!

AND: Speaking of shit...

If you're a Democrat, then you want to support any bill that gives more power to the government. Except if it endangers your re-election.

That's why the bill's supporters didn't need to bother reading it.

Congress is a joke and all of them deserve to go the way of the elites in the French Revolution.

HOW DARE they vote for legislation that they have NOT read.

HOW DARE they vote for legislation that isn't even finished being written at the time they vote on it.

They DARE, because we the people do nothing to stop them.

We have elected and continue to elect irresponsible, arrogant, ignorant assholes who have doomed us as a country to become a third world nation.....if we even survive long enough. Maybe we deserve the coming dark ages, as a country for our complacency.

In relation to the above post about Jefferson, perhaps when we are returned to a 17th and 18th century lifestyle (as we will be) people will have time to concentrate and reflect on what is important in life and in liberty and on how to keep those important things from being taken from us.

Just repealing women's suffrage would fix the dynamics.

Isn't it nice that all of the Obama voters can feel so good about spending our money now? And heaping more debt on our children and our children's children? It's just the right thing to do, you know?

Whatever it is.

I would think that if this bill was a piece of (expeltive deleted), then the press would be letting us know.

Sorry; I think the heat got to me for a second.

Heard that government bailouts and guarantees are at an estimated $29.5 trillion.

And they want to pile on 'crap and trade tax', health care (a couple of trillion) with another stimulus being urged by Obama eco advisers.

In response to 'crap and trade tax' Americas biggest oil company are planning to close fuel plants cutting capital expenditures and ship jobs overseas. US production will be replaced by import

Look for energy/utilities to double and triple.

Buffett calls 'crap and trade' a regressive tax.

Ain't it all regressive?

Much ado about nothing... does not have a chance of passing in the senate

Pastafarian said...

why's that, Howard? Because other cap-and-trade bills have stalled there in the past?

That was then, and this is now. The Republicans have 39 votes in the Senate, and 2 of those are Snowe and Collins. There won't be a filibuster. All committees are chaired by Democrats; and those Democrats will be loyal to their all-powerful and popular leader.

Please explain your opinion. Maybe you can give me a little hope.

Don't they call the income tax that goes in percentage the higher you income gets a 'progressive' tax?

Sorry 'bout that; I gotta stay in the shade more.

Pelosi's office declined to comment on Boehner's jab. But one Democratic aide quipped, "What do you expect from a guy who thinks global warming is caused by cow manure?"

Excuse me, never mind read the bill, how about understand their own theory?

Isn't it proponents of anthropogenic global warming who believe that?

"What do you expect from a guy who thinks global warming is caused by cow manure?".

Gotta agree with him. Primary cause of global warming US style, is hot air and crap legislation emanating out of congress and the WH.

Close them down and problem is solved.

John Boner's talking about pieces of shit.

But what's he gonna do about it?

And as for the rest of the GOP, where's Michael Steele?

...and how's the effort to close the GOP primaries to registered Republicans only coming along?

They say they want to win, don't want to repeat ineffective campaigns, shitty candidate nominations, etc., but I'm not hearing much about the effort to effect procedural change within the party's nominating process. Does Steele really have anything more important to do than this? Really?

Didn't think so. No wonder he's nowhere to be seen.

I liked the guy, but he's a douche. I'm guessing we've got two full terms of Barry coming at us, whether we like it or not. I'm guessing the GOP is in on the fix and won't make any changes until after '12.

I hope I'm as lousy a guesser as I am a lottery winner.
