Saw this the other day - loved it!

Testimony to the skill of the pilot and crew that this can be joked about!

Steve Martin has more talent than the next three comedian runners- up combined. Thanks for the highlight.

I agree. Watch these guys play Foggy Mountain Breakdown on Letterman. Martin's not too shabby.

Also a great kick start to the morning. Playit loud.

Excuse me for getting even farther OT, but I think you should take look at this photo and zoom around for awhile. It is quite stunning, but I found it a bit disturbing too:

Inaguration

Steve Martin is probably in this picture, so that's the tie in.

The huddling masses look like they're at a Packers game.

For extra bonus points, find Neut, YoYo Ma, the couple in matching red hats, the sharpshooters, and count all the people texting instead of listening. If you were there, can you find yourself? Oh yes, find Waldo too.

ooh, ooh, and Al Gore trying not to look like he's freezing his ass off!

Two things:

Martin still has happy feet. He's the best.

It would take a new Ice Age to pry off Gore's lard ass.

Steve Martin: always good for belly laugh, and not a cuss word to be found.

Gosh - how can that be??

john, find the guy with more than one head. I think it's a seam in the picture, but it looks like he's growing a second head. He's on the top tier of steps on the Capitol, above the leftmost lightpost, and he's wearing a head band.

MM: "Fat head" was an insult we used when we were kids. I never knew what it was suppose to mean. Now I know. That guy is a faaat head.

Mad man - I saw him. A few years ago there was a TV series about this kind of stuff going on.

There are others. They are here.

that is really funny, thank you. Steve's face when dave is setting up the clip is great.

Sort of on- sort of off-topic:

I love Theresa Andersson
who was on Conan last night; she's wonderful live. She's a Swedish import to New Orleans. According to the New Yorker, she's playing at somewhere called Joe's Pub tonight in Manhattan.

One more link - I like this thing Andersson cooks up in her kitchen even better than the tune she did on Conan.

I wish Steve Martin hadn't stopped doing comedy.

The various bits he's done on Dave over the years are funnier than all of his movies in the past 10-15 years put together.

Here are some from the 1980s.

You think that's bad. Take a look at the guy directly in front of Aretha Franklin. Very strange.

Nice, jde!

I can't find Aretha Franklin.

Nichevo said...

Yeah, funny, I can't find Etta James.

Just look for her hat. The Invisible Man is in front of her. And Aretha herself? Talk about a double chin!!!
