Theo, your link to that EDS mersh was also quite enjoyable.

We used to have a squirrel in our neighborhood whom I'd watch walk across the telephone wires outside our back windows every Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Sometimes in the mornings when we were in the kitchen eating with our 2 year old daughter, he would appear on the roof of the neighboring building (both buildings were 4 stories and we live on the top floor) and proceed to scale down the wall to the ground, much like the guy in Ann's photo. My daughter loved the little guy because he seemed to show up and make himself visible at the right time to amuse her. We were wondering about him once after not seeing him for a few days and the next morning when I was returning from running errands I saw his flattened body in the middle of my street.

It was very sad to see, because he was a great neighbor and brought us a lot of joy.; 10/21/08, 7:58 PM
