Defending against the Nazis in Madison.

What would you do if some neo-Nazis were demonstrating in your city? Go shopping and hope that they'd play to an empty house? That's what I did, but 800 of my fellow citizens made the scene. Number of Nazis: 64. Number of police: 300. They were ready for action:

That's from Uncle Jimbo, who has more video and commentary here.

I wouldn't go shopping but I'd join you in not making the scene.

What would I do?

I'd ignore them.

I'd race home and simulblog the Emmys. That's what I'd do.

What I'd love to see in the first paragraph of a news story any day now:

"A crowd of counter-demonstrators estimated at 800 drowned out two hours of speeches by an Islamist group on the stairs of the State Capitol today, but remained peaceful."

It's easy to stand up to Nazis. They are no longer a real threat. It's more difficult to confront the enemies that actually kill us, kidnap us, and threaten our livelihood today.

Given how Wisconsinites feel about FIBs, are Wisconsin Nazis better or worse (and by what metric) than Illinois Nazis? (And I not only *really* hate Illinois Nazis, I used to drive a used 1977 Plymouth Fury II police car.)
