"We're just gonna bury them so deep, you know?"

Says Lenny, the Russian, expressing crazy confidence in the team Lee chose for the final task on "The Apprentice." Meanwhile, Sean chose the perfect team: Tammy, Andrea, and Tarek. These do seem to be the three best. Plus, he's in love with Tammy. He wants to win, get married, get everything. He's adorable expressing his utter confusion at Lee's choices, and jokingly theorized that Lee has some genius plan. But what Lee did was go to Lenny. He's weirdly bonded to Lenny. (And the last thing Lenny did to Lee was to bring him into The Boardroom -- nonsensically -- after Lee had supported and stood by him.) What strange mind control does Lenny have over Lee? Then Lee just sits at Lenny's knee and takes advice about who the other team members should be, completely buying the notion that what counts is how sincerely and passionately the players want Lee to win. Lenny says Roxanne and Pepi. Roxanne was Lee's opponent in the last round, and doesn't seem likely to care much about seeing him win. And the other one, Pepi, is a guy who was such an unsuccessful player -- eliminated in Round 2 -- that after Lee announces his team and leaves The Boardroom, Trump is all Pepi?! Who's Pepi? Was he even on the show? Did I ever say "Pepi, you're fired?"... while Carolyn cackles hysterically.

I think Lee's youth is showing. I don't know if it's just editing, but their contacts for the event seems less than happy with the team so far, their emotional bonding notwithstanding.

Who's Pepi?

Ha ha. "who's that guy on the far right?" One of the most candid moments ever on the show. Carloyn had a s*** eating grin the entire scene. A Brent sighting, he still thinks he's great. Good for him.

Of course they make both teams look set up for disaster, but if Lee can make that woman in charge of the firemen charity happy, he's ovecome a huge challenge.

"what kind of money raising events do you like?"

"Tell me what you have in mind?"

"We thought about X"

"Absolutely not!"

"We also thought about Y"

"beneath us"

"well lady how about we get you 10 million fricken dollars"

" as long as you don't do a silent auction or otherwise insult my people"

I guess she wouldn't have gone for a BareNaked Ladies concert.

I haven't watched the second half of the show yet... But spoil away.

Gonna bury 'em, eh?

Did he keep his shoes off the lectern when he said it?

Who's Pepi?

I guess I'm the only one who remembers Pepi! Remember the task where Brent was accused of "threatening" one of the women candidates? And then he was prancing around NYC in a bathrode to promote a razor?

That's the task where Pepi got fired. It was one of those double firings, and Pepi was fired because he was project manager and he didn't manage Brent's troublemaking well.

Carolyn didn't remember him because Ivanka was in her place that week. Trump didn't remember him because...well Trump did remember him, he was just lying for laughs. Trump claims he's in on the casting, so he knows all of their resumes. If he really did forget then the laugh should probably be on him for starting the season so un-memorably.

I'm kind of annoyed at the phoniness of Trump in general. He went on some more about how he had to fire both Roxanne and Allie because of their lack of loyalty, but isn't it obvious that before anyone had lost last week's task it had been pre-planned that both members of the losing team would get the axe?

Sean and Lee were called to the board room the same night Allie and Roxanne were fired and were immediately to begin preparing for the final task, the details of which were given to them early the next morning. The charitable events were already set up. It was set in stone that two would be fired under one pretext or another. If Lee and Sean had lost last week they both would've been fired no matter what. If Allie and Roxanne had remained loyal to each other, they both still would've been fired, perhaps because they were TOO loyal to each other!

In fairness to Lenny, when he had brought Lee to the board room it was merely for Lee to act as his advocate. Of course that nevertheless exposed Lee to getting fired, so he probably shouldn't have, but still, Lee was okay with it.

This shows there was something phony, but it could also have been that it wasn't actually the same night. I though it was awfully strange that the got all the old players assembled back there that same night either. I think the phonied up the time line.

I wanted the final three to be Andrea, Sean, and Tarek, and now they're all on the same team! Hopefully, Tammy won't become too much of a distraction for Sean, and the other two won't be too irritated by them.

No clue what Lee is thinking, other than doing whatever Lenny says. Perhaps he doesn't want anyone on his team more capable than he is? If he invited Andrea or Tarek to his team, they would run the project. As for the other decently capable people (Charmaine, Leslie, a few others), he burned too many bridges in previous episodes to use them.

I agree. The actual time between Lee and Sean leaving the boardroom and entering the suite was probably a couple days.

I did wonder about the time line and the coincidental double firing--I mean, as much as one can be concerned about a Trump reality show--so I think it was foreordained two would go. I wonder if there's any way to analyze if it is necessary to fire two in one show at some point to maintain air dates. The loyalty thing didn't ring true, but again... this is TV.

What is this? Is nobody here willing to back Lee, and his multi-ethnic team of less than super attractive people?

Well I will be bold and stand for Lee, justice, and the American way. The other team is just far too attractive, and far too smug and assured. Their cockyness will be their downfall.

Further, I would argue that Trump really wants Lee and not some foppy Brit wno is all besotted over a Sandra Bullock look-a-like.

My bet is that this was edited to make Lee's choices and chance of success seem impossible, and that by next week there will be a stunning reversal when Lee and the A team pull the win out of the buttox of disaster.

Obviously you guys are underestimating the hidden talents of Pepi, in the same way the Justice League secretly underestimated Aquaman.

(And yes, I realize this post offers no logical rationale for the opinion expressed, but still, I like the underdog, and I like how Lenny always sounds like he is ready to kill people for the win. I think real men here will agree with me.)

Finn, My son is rooting for Lee to win. Personally, I think Donald wrote Lee off weeks ago. Donald commented that Lee is such a politician. Sean is a clean slate, I’m not sure he’s been outstanding in his performance. But he has been good.

It does look like Lee’s team is off to a bad start. But I’ve noticed in the past that the final tasks are always laid out that way. We’ll see the teams scrambling around to insure that the events are successful and do Donald proud.

I confess, I’ve been a little disappointed with this season’s apprentices. I don’t like it when Donald has his daughter and son filling in for George and Carolyn. His children are simply too young to have any serious credibility with me. After all, if it wasn’t for their father, they would not be in the position they occupy. It also sends a clear message that it really doesn’t matter what your talents are, people with better connections will always be ahead of you.

Even though I’m whining about the show, I really do enjoy watching it.
