The new logo and lower-casing.

So, what does it say to you, this blue-and-white striped marble and the lower-cased letters of the big old name AT&T? They've gotten cute and young and playful? I see a marble. Maybe you see globe. Or do you see stylized fingers, intertwined? Intertwined around a globe?

The lower case letters match up well with AT&T lowering their sights. "Expect less with the new at&t!" or maybe "at&t: we don't control anything anymore"

SBC, who AT&T just merged with to become at&t, is my local baby bell monopoly, though I'm cell only so don't use them. They've been pouring millions into a huge branding campaign in the last year or so. That money will now be wasted if they're going to operate solely under the at&t name.

Oh look a bad logo and lower case letters. I liked the striking and professional look they had before, this seems sloppy.

Too hip/cutesey/3D. I preferred the Death Star.

But the only cool part of the company was Murray Hill anyway, and that got spun off into Lucent a while back.

I think it looks like a Christmas ornament.

I'm indifferent to it, but I do like the flash animation that unfolds to reveal it. It's fun.

Death Star goes anorexic. Looks unhealthy.

So, is that like when your grandma decided to get "with it" and started wearing clothes way too young for her generation?

It looks like ee cummings and kd lang had a brainstorming session at which they were playing ping pong.

I always thought the old logo looked too much like the Death Star.

"Fear will keep the local systems in line - fear of this battle station."
