"France has beautiful days ahead of it... its recovery begins here in Orléans. This is the symbol of the fight against stupidity, against abandonment, against resignation."
Said Marine Le Pen, addressing supporters of France’s "far-right" National Rally in Orléans (where Joan of Arc defended France in 1429):

How is it "far right" to defend your country and culture from political violence?
Le Pen should hold her next rally in Tours.
I think France is a lost cause.
Her Achilles’ heel is the economy. Immigration and security will not solve France’s deeper problems: low working hours, early retirement, an expanding welfare state, underinvestment, and weak productivity.
The reforms needed—raising the retirement age, restraining welfare spending, and increasing work—would alienate many of Le Pen’s supporters. Yet avoiding them would leave France struggling to fund healthcare, education, infrastructure, and security. That is the central contradiction of her economic program.
Patriotism could become a substitute for difficult choices. Le Pen may promise more spending on the military and border controls while offering tax cuts and lucrative contracts to political and business allies. Without credible funding, however, deficits could deepen, public services could deteriorate, and debt pressures could spread across the eurozone.
The political risks are equally serious. Le Pen’s supporters may want protection from economic change, but delivering it without difficult trade-offs will be hard. Reforms could provoke resistance, as Macron discovered with the Gilets Jaunes. But avoiding reform would mean continued structural weaknesses, underinvestment, and mounting fiscal pressures.
Le Pen’s fundamental dilemma is this: the reforms France needs may alienate the voters she depends on, while avoiding those reforms risks undermining the very national renewal she promises.
Thank you for putting far right in quotes. There is nothing far right about much -- maybe all -- of her platform.
The website gtpzero says about IEE's post that "We are highly confident this text was AI generated."
Note how IEE’s AI blames Le Pen, in minority power for decades, for France’s economic policy and situation.

She will fail where Macron has failed before her. To fix France’s problems, you would have start by attacking the privileges of pensioners, and raise the age of retirement. The issue of working hours would also have to be addressed. In other words, Le Pen would have to attack her electoral base.
Let I-Double-E eat cake
“ To fix France’s problems, you would have start by attacking the privileges of pensioners…”
Thank goodness she didn’t have France-aid to get rid of before she got to those problems. Of course these are all things that if Trump did IEE would be apoplectic.
Le Pen never wins. Why won't she exit? Silly.
The left could nuke itself with actual nukes - and they would still show up to vote for more leftism.
IEE - she holds no power. you can only spout your leftwing talking points from bullshit vantage points.
Lame.
IEE(D) is a typical leftist. Leftists in power are never to blame for the misery they promote and the misery they make reality.
Spout? More like copy/paste.
Le Pen is only ahead in the polls because she has cynically promised everything to everybody -- lower taxes, more spending, earlier retirement, higher pensions, and -- you cannot make this up -- budgetary restraint. Like Trump, the politician she most models herself after, she knows her electorate are credulous.
France always votes wanting fundamental change and then the French spend the next 7 years blocking every move the elected politicians try to make.
Her Achilles’ heel is the economy.
Oddly enough, yours too.
To fix France’s problems you would need to outlaw the Muslim religion, the Communist Party, the Greens, and the 35 hour work week. You would have to tell teachers that not showing up to teach class equals loss of that day’s pay. That’s for a start.
As an octogenarian I note how eager Indefinitely Extended Excursion is to blame economic problems on old timers. Hey Assh**e! We vote, too.
LOL watch the WEF/Globalist tool squirm.
Trump won. Macron will be out. So will the greens.
LePen is not "far right."
The fun part is I expect LePen to fail just like Netanyahu failed. She will be too nice to the Muslims and the Socialists.
After LePen fails and is beaten from the actual right the WEF tools will find out what "far right" actually is.
What France needs is another Bonaparte, grapeshot and all. If Le Pen can snatch that mandate from the gutter, then do it. I have my doubts.
Le Pen is a probably a leftwing plant. She loses and loses - and the left keep control.
No one asks - why? She is saying the things - but so what? It's weak tea.
Big Mike - you nailed it.
The French don't really want change. They want someone to do the current thing better.
^^ Le Pen’s economic positions reveal a lack of policy coherence. She opposed Macron’s efforts to rein in the budget deficit, yet now promises sweeping cuts while also advocating a lower retirement age. The numbers simply don’t add up without substantial spending reductions.
The French have repeatedly taken to the streets over far smaller cuts and perceived threats to their social benefits. How does Le Pen expect to persuade voters to accept the sacrifices her own fiscal promises would require—let alone actually implement them?
Hell yes. Go Reagan on them. Sell the City on the Hill. Then deliver. Make bold moves. Deport the illegals. Send the Army into the worst areas and clean out the nests of criminal gangs.
Trump did it in Washington DC and Memphis. Both were lawless, dangerous places. After just a few weeks of enforing the laws and deporting foreign criminals both cities are safe to walk in at night. Busness is picking up and violent crime is down.
She would make a great President of France. But the Left has decided they will keep a neo-liberal like Macron in power forever rather than let her serve.
When enough of your voters are made up of brain-dead leftists who "Follow their leaders no matter what", you're screwed.
Its the same thing in Germany. The Leftwing socialists and Conservatives have made a pact to never support the Afd. The Germany conservatives are like the Tories in the UK. Or mitt romney bush types in the USA. They will allow the Left to take power, which disagrees with them on 80 percent of the issues, rather than support a Rightwing populist party that disagrees with them on 20 percent.
In reality the leaders of the Establishment Conservative parties in all three countries are Establishment first, and conservative last. Whether their dumbo voters will ever undestand that is doubtful.
Don't worry- IEE(D) pro-leftwing fascism - the left will keep their precious power in France.
IEE(D) had ZERO questions for Macron.
Far Right can also he stated as Right So Far.
Grift and fraud with renewed vigor!
The bond markets are looking for an excuse to dump French Government bonds. Le Pen’s economic program (or lack there of) will no doubt provide them with that excuse.
"The French don't really want change. They want someone to do the current thing better."
The current thing is linguistic and cultural extinction. The better is doing it faster. The coup de grâce will not be painless.
Le Pen is likely to find the same result in her coming election contest that Javier Bolsonaro did yesterday. Voting out socialism almost always fails. Socialists/Communists are like cockroaches- impossible to get rid of without extreme measures.
The wife and I could go for a little bit of 6th Brazilian Republic right about now.
It appears the markets in Brazil are not impressed by the election results. But I'm sure leftard economic policies will work somewhere if they try hard enough. Right?
All the global corrupt left need are those corrupt loyalist mob judges.
I don't see macron as hard-left. I think he is reasonable, in many ways. Left of center of course. I think the leftist mob powers that be - control and threaten Macron's compliance. same toxic BS from the antifa-nazi leftist forces and their arsonist ways.
“ To fix France’s problems, you would have start by attacking the privileges of pensioners…”
A few more "heat waves" without Air Conditioning should solve that problem. Kill off the elderly, the infirm, and anyone else who is inconvenient. Covid was a start, but death by intentional neglect is also good.
"France has beautiful days ahead of it...“
She forgot to add the now obligatory “Inshallah”.
Always nice to skip over what's his names posts. AI slop with the usual left wing BS. Never a constructive ideas, not one. Why? Because leftists are in love with ideology, and not the real world. Other countries have come back from worse, perhaps France will. I do know that NO policies supported by communists will work. never has, never will. but idiots like our resident AI copy and paste have no alternatives. No other options but the same crap that kills people, ruins countries, and produces pure misery. Hate is all the left has now. Pathetic.

An Obama/Biden voter says this without irony.
They are just really stupid people.
Unless France deports every Muslim illegal... they will have huge problems. Deport first.. then work on such problems as retirement age, restraining welfare spending, and increasing work, etc... Deport first!!!
A good way to cut the number of Islamic migrants would be to stop bombing their countries and paupering their populations while making a tiny few very rich from grabbing their resources.
This crazy idea might also work for South America!
We sanction countries to starve the people until they are ready to overthrow their government, then, like Venezuela, we “make a deal” with a tiny few to take their oil, or tungsten, or platinum, or whatever while spreading just enough crumbs to keep our puppet in power.
These are policies that most people who are mad about migrants ironically support, but as somebody once said, “ The world is full of little ironies for stupid people.”
Micron did so much manipulation to thwart the will of the French people in the last election that they no longer believe that their votes matter, so they take to the streets, and sure there are groups joining in “the fun” to push their own agendas, and plainly there are groups who have organized foot soldiers among the demonstrators to create messaging, like “deport all Muslims.”
Who benefits from that? Why would Muslims attack a European country that has recognized Palestine? Maybe it’s a psy op “pour decourager les autres.” A small disciplined group can make a protest into something that can be used to manipulate the normies, while warning other countries not to recognize Palestine. J6 was a similar deal, a tiny violent cadre can easily change the perceptions of a large peaceful protest.
It’s just a theory, Ben Shapiro suggested it might be an Mossad operation, and it makes sense.
That quote should be “A world full of stupid people is full of little ironies.
She's going to win and it's going to be glorious. I'm predicting a big success for her in France. Riots over. Economic miracles. Thatcher, Reagan, Le Pen. Far right my ass. She will eat the Commies for dinner. See also Meloni in Italy.
She's going to stop paying billions to the EU. Free France!
Also, The Passion of Joan of Arc is fantastic. Best silent film ever made and in my all time top 25.

LOL!
At least the joooooosss didn't do it this time.
Too bad you can't tell the difference between Trump and team WEF.
You just spend all of your time sounding like one of the stupid people.
She's not going to win. Flavio had a commanding lead when the polls were supposed to close at 7 pm. But left wing judges ordered the polls to stay open in a handful of districts and Lula rampaged to a mathematically impossible win.
Same thing will happen in France.
JAQ - Blames Israel for everything. then lies about Ben Shapiro.
Bolsonaro went to visit his dad in prison this afternoon, and on his way out, Lula's goons seized his passport.
There's nothing like a clean election, eh? And what Brazil just had, is nothing like one, either.
*But left wing judges ordered the polls to stay open in a handful of districts...*
Not quite. It was one judge. And from what I understand, that judge was Lula's former, personal attorney.
*𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘧𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘫𝘶𝘥𝘨𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘺 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘢 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘴...*

Could I humbly suggest that repeatedly recycling this framing without mentioning that both Bolsonaro and Lula requested extensions is misleading?
The Bolsonaro campaign sought a two-hour extension in areas affected by heavy rain and flooding, while Lula’s campaign initially raised concerns about transportation problems in Bahia before seeking a nationwide extension. The judge ruled on Lula’s petition and ordered a nationwide extension—the more uniform approach, in my view. The ruling itself acknowledges the circumstances behind the request.
Bolsonaristas like Jim and dr weevil may spend the next four years pretending their side never requested an extension. Let’s not help them rewrite the record.
But you forgot to mention that somehow the message wasn't conveyed to certain districts, and those ballot boxes were sealed according to schedule and didn't collect any additional votes over those hours. Funnily enough, those were Bolsonaro - leaning districts, or so I've heard. You also forgot to mention that extension are unprecedented. Funny, that.
Why didn't you mention that?
**She's not going to win. Flavio had a commanding lead when the polls were supposed to close at 7 pm. But left wing judges ordered the polls to stay open in a handful of districts and Lula rampaged to a mathematically impossible win.
Same thing will happen in France.**
And the NYT had no less than 8--EIGHT!-front page pieces up on the wonderful Lula victory (none of which mentioned the disputed election claims) in less that 12 hours.
This is why Trump is successful. His approach is "This is bullshit. Everyone knows it's bullshit. I'm not going to pretend it's not bullshit. You may "win" but everybody knows it's bullshit."
And here we are.
The alternative is "This bullshit tastes OK."
The late notice and the fact that some polling stations had already closed are legitimate criticisms. The extension was unprecedented, and I’m not suggesting the rollout was flawless.
But you’re asserting that the affected stations were Bolsonaro-leaning without providing evidence, then implying that the procedural failures establish electoral manipulation. Those are separate claims. Show the evidence that the problems systematically disadvantaged Bolsonaro and explain how they could have affected a 4.4-million-vote margin. That’s a reasonable standard, not a partisan talking point.
At least Flavio won't have to languish at border like Venezuela Nobel winning lady trying to get in!
"A good way to cut the number of Islamic migrants would be to stop bombing their countries and paupering their populations while making a tiny few very rich from grabbing their resources."
Yeah, you could do that. While at the same time enforcing your borders and not allowing them to overrun your country.
Also their countries seem to be fully capable of pauperizing (fixed that for ya) their populations without western assistance (while making a tiny few very rich).
IEE is a bot. As a former prime offender, I strongly suggest not responding to the bait. Half of the comments on this blog are IEE or responses to IEE. The IEE comments are specifically designed to provoke responses.

How thoughtless of Maria Machado to disrupt the "U.S. led transition to democracy" with her call for an election!
I understand that there were more than 400,000 protesters. I am having a hard time believing that they are all just migrants.
“pauperizing (fixed that for ya) their populations without western assistance (while making a tiny few very rich).“
How can you know that when every single time they try to take their countries back, they end up under brutal sanctions?
No, IEEE: Flavio had his passport stripped instantly by the same judge who ordered, 3 minutes before the polls closed, that they stay open. All the Lula precincts were waiting for that order while the Flavio ones had been following the law and closing up. ANd then the Court ordered that the closed polling places couldn't reopen. So only Lula precincts got to vote longer. And since they knew how many votes Lula was behind by at the time of closing, it was a "miracle!" how suddenly Lula votes poured in enough to take the election! Just like Joe Biden! Amazing how all of these things always, but always, happen with leftists.
If we strictly enforced vote time cutoffs, leftists would never win anywhere because it seems like they are incapable of voting before the deadline. They always, but always need "extra time" to vote. Somehow conservatives don't need that time.
Also, for Jaq: Muslims resent France, of course, for being the place where the glorious worldwide march to the caliphate was stopped by Charles Martel. Nothing to do with the Jews, despite your hatred of them.
Besides, it’s not really our business if they make themselves poor, is it? But when we make them poor, or bomb them, well that is ours to fix. Ordinary Americans don’t get rich from these “deals,” cronies of the politically powerful do .
I don’t know how you come to think that I hate Jewish people. There is an execrable political movement in Israel that believes in genocide of its neighbors is a form of self defense. I think that they are wrong and don’t want US weapons used for it. This is only “antisemitism” in that movement’s propaganda, not reality.
That’s a lot of certainty for an argument with so many holes. Bolsonaro’s own campaign requested an extension of voting hours in areas affected by severe weather. Lula’s campaign sought a broader extension because of reported public-transport problems. Both campaigns asked for more time, albeit for different reasons.
Most importantly, the numbers don’t support the stolen-election theory. About 34,330 votes were recorded after the original 5 p.m. deadline, while Lula won by approximately 4.43 million votes. A separate analysis estimated that only about 4,068 votes were actually added by the extension after queues had cleared.
https://www1.folha.uol.com.br/internacional/en/brazil/2026/10/only-34300-votes-were-cast-after-initial-voting-deadline-in-brazils-election-lula-won-by-443-million.shtml
*Why didn't you mention that?*
Because he's a dishonest prick.
"How is it "far right" to defend your country and culture from political violence?"
It might be to white progressives full of self-loathing.
Next week, I propose we have both candidates - in every race - request to keep the polls open an extra two hours.
And just by chance all the polling places in the cities (strong blue areas) close up shop on time, while the rural areas (strong red) receive those extra two hours. And of course, only the red areas know an extension is coming while the blue areas are caught off guard and cannot re-open the polls.
In that case, do you think certain people would be willing to accept the come-from-behind wins by conservative candidates?
Yeah. That's what I thought.
“Jaq said...
I don’t know how you come to think that I hate Jewish people.”
Do you think it might be because we read your comments?
Worldwide citizens appear to divorce problems from immigration as a cause.... When the French want greater and greater government teet suckling yet economic growth...
It will have to get really, really bad to make effective change. Gang rapes in England doesn't do it. Burning Paris doesn't do it.
IS there a rock bottom to be reached?
Risible !
