As if to exonerate herself, Crockett said the FEC donation lists didn’t come with a photo of the donor. But I believe they do list the donor’s employer and occupation, do they not? Which should have ended the confusion right there in this case.

Playing devil's advocate here, the answer is - he didn't need to donate money to Republicans to control them because he had blackmail leverage over them. The Democrats wouldn't play his naughty games, so he had to try to buy their loyalty with cash.

Is there any indication that Epstein ever engaged in blackmail or extortion? From my limited understanding of this matter, he set up his sexual apparatus to ingratiate himself with the wealthy and powerful. It would be definitely counterproductive to get on the bad side of those people - you don't live long.
