It actually strikes me that Melania Trump could actually be a First Woman that is potentially capable of actually being a good President unlike the stupid mediocrities the Democrats have tried with.
If you've got an extra child in some situation, hand it to a woman to take care of.
Melania Trump is an admirable First Lady, minimally affected by trappings of White House political bickering. Good for her. Good for the Ukrainian children now returning to their families.

Orphaned mostly by artillery in a civil war that was triggered by a coup we fomented, so there is plenty of thuggishness to go around. For ten years people in this part of Ukraine fought against the govt we installed by coup, and I guess we are supposed to believe that the people in this region would have, in some fair election that they imagine, voted to remain as part of the country that has been raining artillery down on them for a decade, and has outlawed official use of the language they and their people have spoken there for centuries. The would have voted to have all of their textbooks changed, Russian literature removed from the schools, all laws to be written in a different language, all courts to be operated in this different language, and for "collaborators" as defined by Kiev, to be punished God knows how.
It would not make any sense. But sure, return all of the orphans with documentary proof of a family connection, as long as safeguards are in place to keep them out of the hands of human traffickers, Russia claims that that has been their position all along, and these are not the first children to be returned. What I don't get is how is was a "war crime" to remove orphans from downrange of Ukrainian artillery during a hot civil war.
Putin acting in good faith? Good faith would be returning all the kidnapped children now and not make them pawns in his war.

If Biden hadn't given Putin the green light by saying a 'minor incursion' (i.e. taking Kiev in a few days) would draw an uncertain response from NATO, the current war wouldn't have even started.
Also, Trump is the President who first sent actual weapons to Ukraine after he took office in 2016. If he had followed Obama's precedent of only sending non-lethal aid in response Russian aggression in the Donbas the Ukrainians wouldn't have had the resistance they were able to muster in the first few weeks of conflict, long before any aid had a chance to arrive.
More than Kamala accomplished in 4 years.
