How is this stunning? Did ya see the last election? What is wrong with people?
...we just need better messaging...
CNN's Enten has been on this all week.
Just wait until another few million democrat voters self deport or get forcefully deported.
Several million votes for democrats will also disappear when mail in voting is ended and voter ID is required.
Many districts that democrats represent are going to disappear when illegals no longer count for representation as well.
...the categories feel dated. Illegal immigration, crime and a corrupt justice system are all related. Poll that...
Both parties should recognize that neither has even 50% support on even a single issue.
That respect for democracy result is an issue. The Democrats have been screaming about "respecting our democracy" when they are really saying, "We want to stay in power". I know that the progressives and liberals will swallow that stuff---but 29% of Republicans? They must be the RINO contingent.
1) Environment by skimming billions in the name of climate.
2)Women rights by demanding men in women's spaces and sports.
3)Healthcare by passing Obamacare in the middle of the night without reading it, leading to tripling of premiums and loss of your doctor.
4)Democracy by trying to jail your opponents and running someone who never won a vote.
Although we celebrate freeing ourselves from the media narratives, a lot of people seem to still buy them up like diet advice.
I'm a little surprised by the economy one, as the rightists embrace of protectionism is already causing problems, but then the leftists favor communism, which is even worse. Maybe that is the reason that a plurality don't trust either party.
Actually, it appears there are many issues like that. Both parties are failing to appeal to moderates. One can only hope that this motivates a swing away from radicalism toward the center. I remember when people used to complain the parties were hardly distinguishable; people didn't know how good they had it back then.
What a ridiculous survey. How many of those 1019 adults can explain the differences between the Republican and Democrat plans? Who created these plans? Where have they been presented?
Republicans and Democrats don't "plan" in any real sense of the word. They only react.
That's "respect for [our] democracy (31%-29%)."
Democrats trusted on women's rights is code for - Abortion on demand / pro-dead fetus - cult of death.
Democrats trusted to protect girls from trans or fake females who are biological men - not so much.

It is always interesting to see people conflate shifting the tax burden from American companies and workers to multinational corporations as protectionism.
"The Science is settled" is the most unscientific load of politicized hot garbage.
No matter what the scientific topic - the Science is never settled.
Except for "respect for democracy," that sounds about right. Especially given the shift towards the left built in through their control of the media.
Democrats destroy the economy with punitive taxes, fees, and D-party crony pocket stuffing. Civic waste and BS Green new deal projects that end up in the dust. All while ordinary Americans suffer. All while the middle class disappears.
If you don't worship/obey the Democrat Party - DEMOCRACY IS OVER!
One Sept 10th - the cumulative hate and lies spread by the Democrat party - ended in the horrific murder of a fine man.
That same day - In Evergreen Colorado - another school shooting occurred. 3 teens - shot. I believe at least one of the teens suffered life-changing injuries and is in bad shape. Not sure about the others. (will search for them)
The news regarding the shooter (who is dead - killed himself) is vanilla. Very Vanilla. "Shooter was radicalized on Social Media" -- and that's it... that is the end of it.
I suspect the killer was a radical leftist kid. But the media didn't get the narrative they wanted. so it's all hush hush and skip on by.
"Respect for Democracy" is a completely meaningless term which no one, even the pollsters, can define. I'll take the response to mean 31 percent of the Poll takers were Democrats and 29 percent were Republicans.
If the Republicans are leading on any issue, its completely due to Trump and MAGA, because "Moderate Republicans" would be going "Me too" with the D Positions on Globalism, open borders, Free Trade, Wars everywhere, and saying zero about antifa or crime.
You only count on "Moderate Republicans" to do two thing the D's don't like: Gun Control and Taxes.
Oh Trump is working off a plan all right. You just can't see it yet, Lance, but you are 100% right about most Republican Congresses.
Do leftists respect our Constitutional Republic?
I used to be pro-choice on abortion.
I am now pro-life. Yeah - the women's' choice / women's body argument is a strong argument. But it does not change the fact that an abortion ends a life. Just admit it and lets move on.
In Deep Blue Colorado - Abortion is 100% legal up until the time of birth. (All after the Supreme Court vacated the decision and sent it all back to the states) In fact - Colorado has about 500 late term abortions every year.
Why would progressives think this was grim?
It's clear they could return to Obama era dominance if they just stopped letting murderers out without bail and walked back on infinity immigrants every year.
- A Fella on X
Maybe not "dominance," but some truth to that statement.
as the rightists embrace of protectionism is already causing problems
...all y'all were A-okay with the other countries forever protectionist stance against the US, though. Do try to keep in mind the intent of the Trump administration is to incentivize foreign investment in US manufacturing. Good at forgetting that you are...
The Democratic left are doubling down on being pro-crime. They are instigating and encouraging radical leftists to brazenly harm, doxx or kill - Police and ICE agents. The left are actively attempting to force the legal profession into complying with leftist agendas surrounding illegal immigration.
Gov Newsum(D-Kimmel) just tried to make it illegal for ICE agents to wear masks. Those masks protect agent identities and their families. (remember- Antifa thugs will harm anyone they can and intimidate the wives and children of these ICE agents) As instructed by Democrats and media-MSNBC terrorist types) .
All while the corrupt left have no problem encouraging ANTIFA-Soviet Brownshirts to wear masks - as they burn and rage - and focus on harming Police and ICE agents.

The "economy" is a big topic; you can always find "problems". But the economy was good under Trump 1, inflation-ridden under Biden, and now appears to be good, so far, under Trump 2. Maybe the public is not so stupid.
This is a happy reminder that (most) elections are considerably more reliable than polls. The Democrats aren't merely copying with the loss of ten million Biden voters, who definitely existed and shut up bigot, they're coping with the fact a lot of the oligarchy sees them as a bad bet.
So of course people are going to support Trump policies no matter what the NPCs think, and President Trump will push the advantage. At some point I really think we might see Rats in jail.
Well, the DemocRATs are insisting on free healthcare for illegal immigrants or they’ll shut down the government.
That should rightfully be categorized as certifiably INSANE.
Little Steven and the Whodunitz…
Obviously, few, if any, of the Reuters poll participants were farmers with no market for corn and beans overseas. Last week, even the beloved Fox News poll revealed, by a 22-point margin, that more voters say the Trump administration has made the economy worse (52%) rather than better (30%).
It's still early days.
Purely hypothetical but it would be interesting to see what that poll would be like if legacy media weren't a propaganda arm of the Democratic party.
The economy expanded at a robust annualized rate of 3.8% from April through June
…which is the Atlanta Fed’s GDPNow high water mark…and also beating the ‘consensus’ estimate that was at least 200pb lower. Fuck ‘experts’…
I assume the Democrats lead on the environment is because for decades they have successfully delayed the end of world from ten years after 1980 to ten years after 1990 to ten years after 2000 to ten years after 2010 to ten years after 2020 to the current status of ten years in the future. This was done by a series of artfully crafted programs, which while not improving the environment, enriched all the correct people.
Re: the economy.
When you stop dropping cash from helicopters , which was the President Auto-pen approach (metaphorically speaking), things slow down for a while. But note the upward revision of recent economic growth.
Ten years of ceaseless bleating and yet respect for democracy remains within the margin of error.
"Both parties should recognize that neither has even 50% support on even a single issue."
Lots of people will support the policy of their favored political party, regardless of how damaging or ineffective it might be.
In a poll choosing between the two parties policies, what those people think is meaningless.
Will people vote Republican in 2026 partly because DT will not be on the ballot? Do many Trump voters, at best, vote for him with clenched teeth if not holding their noses? He's always had a fairly evangelical vote. Will the Charlie Kirk factor give him more of this vote, including from people who doubt that DT is really much of a Christian?
The Democrats have had their way with our healthcare system for decades now, and the Republicans have been useless in resisting it. Everybody hates it and thinks the people who made it suck are best at it?
There is a simple solution to healthcare. Put everything on something like Amazon: drugs, doctors, hospitals procedures, tests, devices and therapies. You can shop for it all. You can write and read reviews, compare prices and outcomes, know what everything costs before you buy it. In our current system you don't have any idea what you are buying or what it costs. People would be amazed at how affordable healthcare can be with price signals. I can't believe we accept our most expensive costs of living being completely beyond our control. Nothing else in life is like that, because we wouldn't put up with it. Can you imagine buying a car and nobody will tell you what it costs, if it's any good, or if some other car would be better and cost less? WTF is wrong with us?
Bagoh - on healthcare - Exactly right. But that would remove the grift. We can't have that!
"Direct Primary Care" - is edging closer to a better solution.
The Democrats are in such a bad shape, Trump is counting on them to shut down the government, because for the first time in like... recorded history, the polls (white house internal polling) may show the Democrats getting blamed.
This would've been unthinkable just 10 short years ago.
Sure, the media may spin it in favor of the Democrats, but other than the Democrats, is anybody held in lower esteem than the US News media? Not counting Congress.
AI: Trust in television news is very low, with only 10% of people expressing a great deal or quite a lot of confidence. A majority of Americans (53%) say they have "very little" or "no" confidence.
WTF is wrong with us?
Cross subsidies. That’s WTF is wrong with us…
There's a certain cohort that believes Trump is going to outlaw abortion, repeal Medicare, eliminate Social Security, and enslave Blacks. And they vote. Even the dead ones.
We all want Ferrari healthcare and we want it to be free. Then we want things that aren’t healthcare bolted on to health care so those things will be free, too…
Put everything on something like Amazon
What a stupid idea! The first problem is if you have been in a car accident and you are bleeding from a head injury or unconscious, how can you go to Amazon and look up the best or cheapest treatment. And people go to the doctor to find out what is wrong with them, not because they are certain what is wrong with them. I guess you could self-diagnose and then pick the correct specialist to treat you. Have you tried self diagnosis recently? Type in your symptoms and they are vague (frequent headaches, gastro-intestinal problems, chronic pain) you are going to be extremely confused because all of the quack websites out there.
Oh Trump is working off a plan all right. You just can't see it yet, Lance
That's the point: how do I know I want Trump's plan if he won't present it! All I know about is what he's doing right now.
Freder - I'm certain Bagoh isn't talking about calling 911 or an ambulance in an emergency. He is talking about the macro/ large scale/ bigger picture of how we pay for it. (If I may be so bold)
bagoh20 for the win. Between that and allowing interstate health insurance medical costs could go down enormously
"...Just wait until another few million democrat voters self deport or get forcefully deported...."
I've got a better idea, let's not just wait. Let's not bank too much on 'accomplishments won so far' either. Instead, let's keep paying attention to what is going on around us, keep focused on continuing to make policy changes that are durable and lasting, continuing to clean up voter rolls and ensure election integrity, continue to eliminate electronic voting and other avenues for voting fraud, continue prosecuting criminals that have been graced with free passes, continue passing meaningful legislation, and deliver a return to fiscal sanity. Let's do that.
Freder - I'm certain Bagoh isn't talking about calling 911 or an ambulance in an emergency. He is talking about the macro/ large scale/ bigger picture of how we pay for it. (If I may be so bold)
Well, this is just another steaming pile of bullshit. Unless Bag0h explains how emergency care is somehow exempted from his scheme (and have you looked at an emergency room bill lately?) as apparently he wants to eliminate all insurance. And if you slice open your hand or leg at midnight, you are going to go to the nearest emergency room, no matter how expensive or incompetent (at least according to the internet) it is, regardless of what "Amazon Medicine" tells you (if you even bother to check if you are bleeding all over your kitchen floor).
Also, as I pointed out people go to doctors to find out what is wrong with them, so the whole scheme just doesn't work. You think you can diagnose your migraines or Chrones Disease? If you do, you are a fucking idiot (which I already knew).
Scheme? - What? Our current system is a scheme, now.
Freder - you really are not getting it. The idea is to change the paradigm of how we think about health care, and how we pay for it. One idea (not a scheme) is to allow transparency and up front pricing.
He didn't even mention "insurance."
Two things: You can't beat something with nothing, which is why Bush I, Dole, McCain, and Romney all lost. And you can't re-brand yourself if you're using the same old cliches.
Maybe the "tax cuts for billionaires" schtick works for the elderly who are the main target of those fundraising emails, but it's not cutting it with anyone else, and it actually undercuts the core of the overall message. If Trump is so horrible that absolutely everything he does must be opposed full throttle, why are you repeating a cliche that goes back AT LEAST to the first Bush?
And since Trump isn't trying to sell "trickled down" stuff or capital gains tax cuts, but seems to be talking about taxes on tips, overtime, and social security, which seem kind of working-class, the whole thing falls flat.
A winning issue for Democrats, it seems to me, would be, in relation to the housing crisis, to force Black Rock and other equity firms to disgorge the single-family housing they've bought up, either through punitive taxation or simply limiting the number of single-family dwellings a corporation can own. The Democrat base would love that and they'd have a chance to peel off some of the younger votes from the Republican coalition.
Trump (not) endorses oxygen…

“Type in your symptoms and they are vague (frequent headaches, gastro-intestinal problems, chronic pain) you are going to be extremely confused because all of the quack websites out there.“
I just did exactly that, Freder, and I’m not confused at all. I got a list of 12 plausible diagnostic possibilities. If you have additional details (e.g., specific pain locations, other symptoms, or medical history), AI (free) can help you refine your questions for a healthcare professional (you find on Amazon) so that you waste less of their time and your money. Be an informed engaged patient, Freder. I quack you not.
So...
Republicans are better at addressing crime 40% to 20%.
Republicans are better on immigration by 40%-22%
Republicans are better on foreign conflicts 35%-23%
Republicans are better on the economy 34%-24%
Republicans are better on gun control 32%-28%
And Republicans are better on political extremism 30%-26%.
Democrats are better trusted on the environment 37%-23%,
Democrats are better on women’s rights 38%-25%,
Democrats are better on healthcare 34%-25%
And Democrats are better on respect for democracy 31%-29% (strange thing is we are not a Democracy but a Constitutional Republic.. but hell who cares.)
As you can see the Republicans have most of the real issues facing this country now ... and mid-terms are coming.
Lots of luck Democrats.
Freder, this may be hard to understand, but you don't wait till you have an accident to purchase your healthcare. You shop doctors, & hospitals. You choose one close with good reviews and reasonable costs, and buy a plan of their services for when you need it. It can include whatever you are willing to pay for: emergency services, chronic care, checkups, whatever. Why do wait now until you are already hurt, treated and recovered before you find out what it costs?
If we did this, providers would be offering all kinds of plans, and special deals. And if you don't use it, it could be transferable where you could gift or sell it to someone else. It's yours, you bought it.
You already do this with insurance, you just don't know the costs or where the money goes. It's all about transparency and price/value signals. Cut out all the middle men who get most of your healthcare money and give you nothing back.
Surprisingly, of the millions of illegals the Democrats invited in, very few are qualified medical professionals, yet they need healthcare

But Freder is very invested in insurance company profits.
He doesn't know why. He just does what he is told.
Enten is kind of endearing. He sounds like a guy from Old New York, like a character out of Guys and Dolls. He's also less biased and less propagandistic than the rest of CNN. He's not afraid of saying that the emperor has no clothes.
The woke left can't grasp that Trump is an old school moderate Democrat. Let the Dems shut the government down and if Trump sticks to no income taxes on Social Security, overtime and tips or no deal he will own the electorate. Compared to that, nobody gives a flip on what the Democrats are supposedly better rated.
Healthcare attached to insurance is a mess. And neither party has plans to address it. Especially since insurance is a state matter.
Let's take NY for an example. Where health insurance policies must cover chiropractic care. AKA as quackery- And it's quackery even if you think otherwise. So how much of my insurance dollar goes to quacks? Good luck finding that out. And then there's inpatient care for alcoholism/drug addiction. Must be covered- can't opt out. How much does that cost?
Lots of little things like that. And probably similar things in other states.
Before tackling healthcare costs, there needs to be some consensus on what should be covered. And a determination what's basic care, what's catastrophic care. What lifestyle diseases should be covered? Your behavior determines whether or not you get an STD. Should someone who's never had one and not going to get one have to pay for other people's lifestyles?
Do I have the answers? No. But I do have some questions.
One thing I'm certain of- people in the country unlawfully shouldn't be receiving any healthcare that I'm paying for as a taxpayer.
