A winning issue for Democrats, it seems to me, would be, in relation to the housing crisis, to force Black Rock and other equity firms to disgorge the single-family housing they've bought up, either through punitive taxation or simply limiting the number of single-family dwellings a corporation can own. Let's take NY for an example. Where health insurance policies must cover chiropractic care. AKA as quackery- And it's quackery even if you think otherwise. So how much of my insurance dollar goes to quacks? Good luck finding that out. And then there's inpatient care for alcoholism/drug addiction. Must be covered- can't opt out. How much does that cost?

Lots of little things like that. And probably similar things in other states.

Before tackling healthcare costs, there needs to be some consensus on what should be covered. And a determination what's basic care, what's catastrophic care. What lifestyle diseases should be covered? Your behavior determines whether or not you get an STD. Should someone who's never had one and not going to get one have to pay for other people's lifestyles?

Do I have the answers? No. But I do have some questions.
