"I will be coming to college campuses, many of them this year. So will we all. I am sure, because we're Americans, and we're not going to be deterred. Charlie's voice is not silent. We're going to pick up that bloodstained microphone where Charlie left it. And to those who would intimidate, who would seek to stop us, who would seek to end free discussion, who believe that they have ownership over public spaces and can violently threaten and kill people who speak freely: We are not going to stop.
And I have two words: Fuck you. We will not stop telling the truth. We will never stop telling the truth. We will never stop debating and discussing. We'll never stop standing up for what America is and for what she should be. And we will never let Charlie Kirk's voice die."
Today is 9/11, and Ben's statement makes me think of the idea that if we don't continue to live as freely and fully as we had before then we will be letting the terrorists win.

We'll be behind them all the way. I was already giving a little to Turning Point and the Leadership Institute, but it will now be increased tenfold. Not as big a fan of Shapiro, but I'll toss him a few bucks as long as he's out there taking on the leftist demons.
"I am sure, because we're Americans, and we're not going to be deterred."
Je Suis Charlie Kirk.

Ben Shapiro is a good and brave man. But in a way it is so sad that he has to be brave to speak on college campuses. College should be about the free exchange of ideas.
A Middle TN State Dean celebrated Kirk's death and he got fired. But what made him think that celebration was a good idea? Kill your opponents?
Based with what's going on in the UK now, the US is the only country in the world that protects Free Speech. We are it.
The Left needs to look deep inside its collective soul and ask itself why it feels the need to cancel, silence and - in some cases - kill their opponents. I'm looking straight at MSNBC.
Is this conversation even happening on the Left?
What has driven these people insane? Why do the sane ones tolerate insane people?
Biggest question: Where's Barack?
When I got into a public tiff with a Nebraska state senator about trans rights, I got all sorts of threatening emails and phone calls.
I drove north out of Omaha today through two counties. The first place I noticed with the flag at half staff was a rural cemetery north of Blair. In a way, it was heartening to see that.
Obama who sees both sides on October 7th, yes he shed some crocodile tears like that apocryphal meme
"Today is 9/11, and Ben's statement makes me think of the idea that if we don't continue to live as freely and fully as we had before, then we will be letting the terrorists win."
Good point, but there's a difference between denying the terrorists a win and defeating them. Going about our business as usual could inspire more brazen attacks. The goal of terrorism is to terrorize. If sending a few aristos to the guillotine fails to terrorize, then exterminating Lyon might.
Sooner or later, the assassin will be caught. Then we'll see tee-shirts on the nose-ringed and blue-haired celebrating the filthy murderer. (Pity poor Luigi Mangione.) Fighting back should happen in the courts. Those who encourage terrorism through foundations that funnel money to groups that harbor terrorists are as morally culpable as the one who pulls the trigger, though not legally guilty. However, they may well be within the reach of the RICO statutes. Those laws were designed to curtail organized crime despite the labyrinthine webs of cut-outs and go-betweens concocted to protect the bosses. Is the Soros network a family of terrorist bosses?
we well remember how they made victims of the future wave attackers, many of them who had been trained in Afghanistan, most had fancy mouthpieces at Gitmo, which the January 6th defendants didn't qualify for,
I do hope that Ben and others add bullet-proof screening to their setups.
Today is 9/11, and Ben's statement makes me think of the idea that if we don't continue to live as freely and fully as we had before then we will be letting the terrorists win.
Isn't the entire point of terrorism and political assassination to cow the populace into silent acquiesce?
in Say Nothing, a recent Hulu teleplay, they glorified the teen girl bombers of the Provos, the UK eventually surrendered to Sinn Fein, and still persecutes it's own soldiers (move on indeed)
Damn spellcheck.
All we ever get is Trump hate and Trump blame.
When is an adult in the Democratic party going to say :
"we need to tone down the hate filled rhetoric on our side"
I'm not hearing it. anyone?
No outdoor venues. None.
The assassination of Kirk was political terrorism. The definition of.
The government has a duty to deal with these fascist violent terrorists. Blue Sky, Discord, Reddit and all of the other social media platforms are full of people constantly calling for violence against us and organizing terror cells.
If the government does not start dealing with these terrorists then the left should expect to be treated how they have been treating us.
Personally I am going to start looking at 2028 Republican possible candidates and figuring out which of them is most like Pinochet. The government needs to put these terrorists down and start throwing institutional actors in jail. We need to specifically define the social media movements and groups as the terrorists they are and start throwing people who incite terrorism in jail.
If the government does not start throwing terrorists in jail soon then there will be a civil war over it.
The terrorists did, in fact, win. Exhibit A, the TSA, still ruining air travel at enormous cost. Exhibit B, the explosion of anti-semitism, at a level today in the USA that was unthinkable before 9/11.
I'm not so sure the assassin will be caught.
A leftist killed Charlie - and the left do not care.
Fuck all of them.
there are no adults, well perhaps Fetterman, I haven't heard from him yet, the moderate Gallegos was slandering Ashley Babbitt while Charlie's life hung in the balance,
yes its the Ministry of Silly Walks, yes importing a whole class of newcomers who hate the country, they have migrated to, as well as a self hating educational class,
then they elected someone who brought every hatred of the Old World into this one
Socialists and Communists need to be labeled terrorists and have all anti-terrorism laws applied to them. NGOs that supported movements like BLM and antifa need to be labeled as terrorist supporting entities; their boards and managers charged and jailed and donors investigated.
Anyone or entity that funds and organizes anything that is anti-ICE needs to be treated as a terrorist organization. They are violent and it is impossible to realistically separate the violent activities with the violent organizing they do on social media.
there was the Smith Act, but you think you can get all the possums to vote for something like that,
I mean they haven't yet teamed up to impeach judges, or make sure the Capitol is secured,
"The Left needs to look deep inside its collective soul and ask itself why it feels the need to cancel, silence and - in some cases - kill their opponents."
There is no such thing as a collective soul- there are only individuals, each of whom is free to embrace or reject the idea that people they disagree with are to be killed. Whatever the choice they make, it will be made as an individual.
The answer to the question is within the question itself. They feel that need because they have convinced themselves that's what will happen to them if they don't do those things to their opponents first.
They are, after all, fighting Hitler and the nazis. They've been saying this all along, as well as "By any means necessary" and "Whatever it takes". It might be prudent to believe they mean it.

no it's a hive mind, one might call them Borg, certainly a plurality is committed to the goal, that Bill Ayers promised 50 years ago in Prairie Fire,

I Googled "Harvard University statement today". No statement.
I Googled "Harvard University Charlie Kirk". "Yale University Charlie Kirk." Stamford University Charlie Kirk." "Duke University Charlie Kirk."
I got some articles about conservative student concerns, and some condemnation of the killing from liberal student leaders. Also some older stuff about allegedly being "controversial".
Nothing whatsoever from the universities themselves about the killing, the protection of all campus speakers, the sacrosanct nature of free speech in the university setting, the commitment of the universities to protect speech.
Nothing, Zip. Nada. Silence.
They should be ashamed of themselves. They are not, but they should be.
those crickets are very loud, but then again they cry for Brotherhood publicists like Khalil and Mawdawi
the moderate Gallegos was slandering Ashley Babbitt while Charlie's life hung in the balance
Gallego isn't a moderate, he's a revanchist MEChA commie, and hearing him dare to lecture us on American patriotism is stomach-churning.
Yes, good lady Ann. Speak up and speak out it is our right. We'll lose it if we don't use it. The people on the left want to make you afraid to speak. Speak anyway.
They have thrown a stone into a vast calm pond. The ripples will be felt for years. Challenge them on every word they utter.

No, my dear Eva. More outdoor venues. Make them stand up. Make them meet us on our ground. Show them we don't live in fear. No more giving ground.
'ope, shooting at the Naval Academy from a disgruntled former student. Best have meade buy more guns. The kids are going crazy out there and killing... Peace is the answer. Peace and dignity. No weapons. No violence. Put down your guns and pray for peace.
You do know, "Charlie was the nice guy"?
How hard would it be to pay a bunch of undergraduates $20 each to walk around on the roofs of campus buildings when an outdoor event occurs? Don’t put ‘em up there until the day of, and any bad guy who has cased the roof earlier won’t expect them.
Shapiro promoting himself as usual.
While I want to be optimistic that Shapiro is right that the debates Kirk contested will be contested 10 times more by fearless speakers, I think back to the Charlie Hebdo shooting when all the media talking head stood up and said, "We are Charlie Hebdo." However, the reality is that no one was publishing cartoons mocking Muhammad again.
I agree with Scott Adams and Quaestor at 504pm. Use RICO, every legal means (I am opoen to illegal, but that is just me) to go after the radical left and Soros folks.
Yancy at 554. You are correct. Sadly, you are correct, my friend.
Good for Ben. Elon should loan him some security guys. I bet Elon's are very good.
Never forget Ann Coulter having to be protected by the Proud Boys at her campus events.
I dreamed I saw brave Charlie Kirk
Alive as you or me.
Said I, you died September 10th;
I never died, said he.
Antifa thugs, they murdered you;
I saw you shot, said I.
Takes more than guns to kill a man,
I didn't die, said he.
I didn't die, said he,
Takes more than guns to kill a man;
I never died, said he.
From San Diego up to Maine
In schools, and rallies there,
Where free men stand and freely speak,
I'm standing there, said he.
I never died, said he.
Where free men stand and freely speak,
I'm standing there, said he.
I'll never die, said he.
I think Shapiro's events are all indoors.
On a more serious note, if Kirk's death was the "last straw," why aren't people rioting?
All venues with roof patrol and drones.
Armed guards, of course.
Complete secure control of the area.
If venue is not secure - it doesn't happen.
All Non-leftist speakers should wear a helmet, bullet proof everything - and constantly remind everyone why.
"I don't want the corrupt Democratic party to kill me."
Spiros - Only leftists Riot.
"Put down your guns"
No.
"Pray for peace."
No. You may pray as you see fit.
---------
Carry on with the continued killings then.
As for me and mine...
We're also not interested in growing other men's religious state. Stop taking our tax dollars and making us complicit. Change is gonna come... Avenge Charlie's death. Decouple the US from Israel. NOW
Eva Marie is likely correct: no more outdoor venues. Shapiro said it in his brief statement today about the assassination.
But I keep coming back to two different points of view on the left: the one that - as Mason G said at 5:29 - is convinced that they're fighting Hitler and therefore anything goes, and the one that believes, to their core, that their side is the decent, law-abiding, reasonable, moderate, tolerant, loving one, and therefore this act cannot be their fault - it must be the fault of the other side, the troglodytes, the racists, the bigots, the mouth-breathers, the stupid, the... deplorables. The deplorables me this person act, through their embrace of deplorable things.
And if some hot-headed young people choose to wear a T-shirt with his face on it, why, you know, the passions of youth - that's all.
I am very serious about wearing bullet proof everything.
The democratic party - circa now.
unless there is a steel color, that won''t make much difference
However, the reality is that no one was publishing cartoons mocking Muhammad again.
Yeah, that's just tolerance... right, Yancey? People are just being properly respectful of another culture.
No outdoor venues? Didn’t save Malcolm X.
Just get rid of outside speakers. College is expensive enough. Using tuition money to pay Speakers isn’t a good use of money. If Speakers don’t want to speak for free, then so be it.
even South Park, which blamed the dolphins,
Good for Shapiro. That's the way to respond. Never give in.
“They should be ashamed of themselves. They are not, but they should be.”
You’re barking up the wrong tree if you think they might feel some shame… leftwingers don’t embarrass easy.
As has been said, they are offended by everything, ashamed of nothing.
Go suck a pickle, lonejustice.
It doesn't matter whether the venue is inside or outside. Right wing conservative Republican white supremacist Timothy McVeigh killed 168 people in the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, including 19 children who were in the building's day care center. I think it's been a while since a left wing liberal Democrat pulled off such a mass killing.
Yeah, here's the problem.

No matter how many people they kill it will never be enough. We are all to blame for McVeigh. So it is OK for democrats to kill us.
left wing liberal Democrat pulled off such a mass killing.
That would be Janet Reno
that was an old argument, back when the Village Voice was making it,
lonejustice likes to point to an extremist 30 years ago that virtually no conservative supports, then or now. Modern day polls have shown close to half of democrat/leftists now say killing Elon Musk and Donald Trump is justified. There is no equivalence.

Nonsense. I'm just pointing out that a right wing conservative Republican who killed 168 people including 19 children is as culpable as the fucking asshole who killed Charlie Kirk.
no one supported mcveigh, compared to the screaming horde
that begs for blood,
you throw a stone in blue scream or tiktok or even twitter,
Charlie Kirk firmly believed that guns save lives
Because they do. What is the first thing anyone does when their life is threatened by violence? They call for men with guns to come save them. I prefer to already be there armed , and anyone who truely values their lives and that of their family does the same.
marcy brings the stoopid,
but of course they hate the police and the military, and they remind this about this every day,
You don’t think guns save lives? Per Scott Adams suggestion - why don’t all Democrats give up their guns. No gun permits for Democrats. You ok with that?
"but of course they hate the police and the military"
And they seem to love Luigi, who didn't kill his victim with a trebuchet.
Why is it so hard for leftist to simply say that killing someone for their words is a terrible thing and unacceptable in America, and I mean stop right there and leave it at that?
because they don't believe it, they probably never did, the free speech movement, was not as advertised,
“No, my dear Eva. More outdoor venues. Make them stand up. Make them meet us on our ground. Show them we don't live in fear. No more giving ground.”
Um no. They’re not going to pick away at our best and brightest. You want to speak outside go ahead. But our best leaders have to fight smart.
Nonsense. I'm just pointing out that a right wing conservative Republican who killed 168 people including 19 children is as culpable as the fucking asshole who killed Charlie Kirk.
No. You're saying WE are. As in all conservatives.
We condemned it then and now, and you're still trying to label us with it.
That makes you the fucking asshole.

Yes. That absolutely makes sense.
Democrats commit most of the murders. They commit most of the crimes. They don't think other people should have guns. They want to take our stuff.
Terrorists shouldn't have guns in our country.

That the speakers can come to harm inside - that’s true but it is safer.
McVeigh was a rabid DEIst who wielded liberal license to entertain abortive ideation following progressive principles under the Pro-Choice religion.

1. McVeigh was not a right wing republican.
2. You are obviously justifying killing republicans.
You can keep up the act. We do not care anymore. Actions and words scum.
I have a family so I am going to focus on electing any person who will use the government to destroy the terrorists and socialists who want to take my freedom.
But I fully expect you terrorist pieces of shit to start being treated like you are treating us. Please put some bumper stickers on your cars and keep those democrat party yard signs in front of your house. Please keep wearing Che shirts.
I will of course condemn any nasty things done to you. My heart will be in it just as much as yours is condemning this action.
@wildswan: that’s beautiful. It just kills me that we all have better memories of Charlie Kirk than his son will have. He’s just too young. Too young to remember him and too young to have lost his dad.
They used to call opposing ideas "mean-spirited", but that didn't rouse the rabble quite enough.
Mangione, too. Insurance is a regulated industry. The price of medical care progressed with underfunded Medicare, unfunded Medicaid, undocumented illegal aliens under the Obamacares umbrella. Perhaps AARP would have been a more viable target. All of this despite human rites performed under Planned Parenthood umbrella corporation... go figure.
"We condemned it then and now, and you're still trying to label us with it."
Yesterday he claimed conservatives defended McVeigh. Like a lot of us here, I was alive and politically aware in 1995. It's a God damn lie. What compels him to continue this slander?

I am interested in living in a free high trust society. I will not accept being forced to change my plans because the shitlib terrorists might attack me.
They are not compatible with the society I want to live in.
Emigration reform to mitigate progress and collateral damage at both ends of the bridge and throughout. Immigration should not exceed the rate of assimilation before planned parenthood and other dysfunctional, wicked choices.
McVeigh's bombing was a response to the government's actions at Ruby Ridge and Waco.
"What the U.S. government did at Waco and Ruby Ridge was dirty," he [McVeigh] says. "And I gave dirty back to them at Oklahoma City." - ABC News
How many people has Charlie Kirk killed?

That's exactly correct.
"What compels him to continue this slander?"
Trying to keep that "Both sides" argument alive?
If political assassination doesn't fall under a "terrorism" category, maybe it should.
“I am interested in living in a free high trust society. I will not accept being forced to change my plans because the shitlib terrorists might attack me.”
I have news for you. We do not live in a high trust society. You want to believe in a fantasy, that’s your look out. I live in the real world. Sending our best soldiers out into the killing fields doesn’t interest me. I don’t want to fight the good fight. I want to win.
Charlie Kirk firmly believed that guns save lives
So do I. Anywhere leftists seize and hold unchallenged power, the result is suffering and death on an astronomical scale. At the most basic level, Americans own guns because we intend to kill or die, if it becomes necessary, to prevent this country from becoming a socialist dictatorship and adding to the hundreds of millions of human beings already killed by the leftist enemies of humanity.
38 nations adopted the principles of Marxism over the last century. All but two of them later abandoned it, but not before piling up a mountain of somewhere between 150 million and 250 million corpses - and that's just of their OWN citizens, not those killed in the communist missionary wars of conquest. All of the criminal and terrorist murderers who ever lived are a trifle by comparison. That's why Charlie Kirk said, somewhat clumsily, that we have to tolerate a certain amount of gun crime, because the only alternative is democide on a scale two or three orders of magnitude greater.
No law passed by a Democrat enemy occupation government will ever disarm us under any circumstances. There are not enough jail cells on the entire planet to hold every American who will refuse to comply with disarmament. The Feds can't enforce it, and our local sheriffs and politicians won't enforce it. If they dare to try it, we will build fully automatic Sten guns and 3-D printed M-16s in every muffler shop, and we will go on the hunt for every single leftist politician and their minions and myrmidons who try to strip us of our right to armed self-defense. And we will win. They will lose, and die like dogs, and our forefathers in Heaven will smile upon us.
"if we don't continue to live as freely and fully as we had before then we will be letting the terrorists win" As you have lived freely, with some courage, considering the risks both in Madison and online. We appreciate it.
Debate this.
I find your terms acceptable.

They wouldn't be rushing to film themselves saying this if they didn't believe there was a wide audience applauding them and cultural cachet to be had. That is the culture Democrats have fostered. Now they have to take responsibility and un-foster it. Not both sides. Them.
Democrat logic.
Democrats: Trump is a dictator.
Democrats: Take away guns.
Democrats: Mr Dictator, please take away our guns.

I was a young man in 1995, too. I have despised the FBI since Waco, and have spent much time in the company of others who do too, yet I never heard anyone or heard OF anyone expressing anything but revulsion at McVeigh's action.
There is nothing in all of American history that can compare to the orgy of gloating blood-lust happening at this very moment on Blue Sky and Tik Tok. Perhaps the closest parallel is the jubilation of the Deep South upon hearing that Fort Sumter had been fired upon by Confederate forces. The outcome is likely to be the same...

If you want to win that means you must first come to terms with what that means in the real world you live in.
We will have our free high trust society back when the Democrat Party is destroyed and all of the NGOs and satellite political operations surrounding it are driven out.
It will come back when the social media rooms like Blue Sky and Reddit where they organize their "protests" and thievery
are policed and people who incite and organize violence there are arrested.

McVeigh was about as Republican as the Unabomber was a Democrat. The fact that lone justice has to reach for this one tells you something about the emptiness of his argument.
And by the way, OKC was one of those ATF/FBI joint screwups in which a couple of their carefully curated menagerie of hopelessly infiltrated extremist lunatics managed to actually explode the bomb before they were supposed to be captured. See Blowback, recently published by Margaret Roberts.
