Nice pic. Mendota did freeze over in the early 80's. Like a fool, I did a solo skate all the way over to Middleton and back. If a crack or soft spot had grabbed me, I might still be there now.
Where I live we have winter in 15-minute increments.
Of course, depending on the jet stream, it can get quite cold here...for a few days, anyway. I remember (long ago) when it was colder in Atlanta than Anchorage.

Lovely photography -- nice composition!
Looks like the fjords where the Krauts hid their battleships.

Go ask Al Gore... Oh wait...
Pretty sure it froze up the winter I stayed there. With 120+ inches of snow, and sub-zero cold much of the winter, it sure had its chance.
Of COURSE it will.
After all, it ain't as if the climate is changing or anything like that...
Does it generally freeze over?

I would love it if Chip Ahoy could put in a Titanic image...Kate Winslett on the headboard and Leo DiCaprio going glug glug glug....
Fab pic...is that frozen foam-scum?
Not this week, it isn't.
If it does, you'll be wondering when it will ever thaw.
