That sign is really for AlphaLiberal because he is the only person around here who comes in gas station bathrooms.

Buying up high-traffic gas stations and keeping the bathrooms insanely clean would be a great PR strategy for BP.

This guy is of course disassociating himself from the evil giant.

They just renovated that gas station. Took about 2 weeks to complete.

Boycott - An organized abstention of doing business with a government, business or other organized entity. Usually done as a form of protest or statement of social policy.

Almost always ineffective as the intended target suffers little but the collateral damage is high.

The angry folks could buy some cheap oil and go spill it in the pristine BP bathrooms. Accidents happen. BP will change the BP name soon like Chavez did to his Citgo brand. The BP logo needs work anyway. Some have suggested adding a skull and crossbones to the logo.

The spill and devastation in the Gulf was all BP's fault, but the Government was fully in charge all the time.

Huh???

And it now appears that the media onslaught caused more economic damage than the actual spill, but the above is still true, and anyway, they were just reporting.

And a lot of other interesting things. Of course, given the news over the last two weeks or so, I'd be panicking too if I had a huge short position in BP.

The owner doesn't work for BP, he's a franchisee, in all probability. And he may go down, thanks in part to The Zero's demagoguery.

Does that count as a job created or saved?

If the bathroom is clean all is forgiven...sayeth ricpic.

Those environmentalists are so full of it. Turns out a gazillion oil eating microbes are cleaning up the spill quite nicely thank you.

They could always go back to Amoco since BP bought them out a few years back.

You mean Arco.

My father worked for Sinclair, which became Atlantic Richfield, and then got subsumed by BP. I inherited a lot of BP stock when my mother died. I sold it a few years back, sending my sons to school.

Timing is everything . . .

Althouse and John Richardson, you're both right; BP also acquired Amoco in 1998.

I remember being really bummed as a little kid when Sinclair became Arco--no more cool toy dinosaurs to collect.

I'm still waiting for Citgo to go belly-up. The fact that I never gas up at a Citgo doesn't seem to be working.

Don't buy gas there, but do use their clean and conveniently-placed on Hwy 45 between Medford and Milwaukee bathrooms.

Well, at least he won't have to worry about being affected by the tax increase on the "wealthy" and being a target in the upcoming class warfare (brought to you soon everywhere by Obama), because he will be unemployed.

And of course being a filthy capitalist self employed prick who greedily aligned himself with the most evilist baddest company in the whole wide world (BP), he doesn't get unemployment. I hope welfare benefits are good in his State.

Maybe he can hang out with the GM dealers that were forced out of business because they were white racists, and with the unemployed car parts dealers who had to shut down their stores.

/snark off
