What in the world is the person on the left of the first picture wearing?

We need more of this in Milwaukee! I was planning to busk this summer- practicing all spring with my accordion, hoping to add some lively cosmopolitan hippie flair to our fair city- and then hurt myself (a non-accordion-related injury LOL)...but you just watch. I'll be out there while it's still warm!!

Seems the guy on his knees is going to extraordinary lengths to convince us he doesn't "huff" the spray paint he evidently travels with in voluminous quantities.

Yes, David, the first thing I thought when I saw that picture was "What in the world is the person on the left of the first picture wearing?"

Do you have a theory, EDH? I am completely baffled.

From the shaved legs and painted toenails, I hope that's a woman with the over-the-shoulder-bolster-holster.

Get that spray-painter some OSHA-approved eye protection. And why isn't he wearing gloves?

Aren't we unique and non-conformist? Except our political views are just like everyone else's at this school.

That spray-paint setup is familiar; there are a couple of brothers from Mexico that create mostly space scenes (Hubble-type images) using that media. They come to Jackson Square once or twice a year.

The masks are necessary - they turn these paintings out in mere minutes. The fumes are flying!

I saw what I think were some street performers in Minneapolis. They were certainly too young and healthy to be proper Twin Cities panhandlers.

While the other two lounged in the shade of a small tree, one held a sign that read:

If you voted for OBAMA, you owe me some CHANGE.

I really wish I could link to a photo. Alas, I left it at home and could only write about it on my little blog.

Looks just like the crap you'd see in Bloomington, which is why I do *not* miss Bloomington.
