When Maher has had enough of the bs, maybe things can change. He has spent his entire TV time promoting, supporting, and shilling for the left. What exists now is partially his creation, or at least what he supported.
The same people who would have cheered a successful Black rock AD punk - who was paid to kill Trump (virtually all MSNBC/NPR/PBS newz loyalists) would like Trump to drown.

If Maher is going to position himself as the "man in the middle" looking down on partisans he'll have to defend his record of trashing Trump and supporting the D's for the last 9 years. He's implied Trump was a fascist and Neo-nazi.

@Paul Zrimsek, I would say instead that the last thing the divers and their support workers trying to recover bodies and the black (actually orange) boxes need is the interruption a Presidential visit entails.
Also Reagan National just reopened 48 hours ago. If Trump were to fly over in Marine 1 the airspace would have to be closed again. They don’t need that.

Bill Maher started his show claiming to be a "libertarian" and "politically incorrect" but it soon became clear he was just a far-left Democrat who liked Israel, low taxes, and legal hookers & cocaine. He was at the forefront of sugggesting Trump was a "Nazi" and a "Threat to Democracy" in 2016.
This is just a tactical retreat on a minor issue. When Trump does something that really goes against the Party line, Maher will be trashing him with a vengance.
