Imagine if the Hack-Soviet Democrat mainstream press were fair to Vance and Trump?

Imagine.

Vance did Theo Von's podcast this past week. We've got nine days until the election, so we may see him do Rogan.

JD is so, so impressive.

Caught a few minutes while preparing/eating lunch. Caught the part about not transing kids. That is a good topic for Trump/Vance to use to peel off POC voters. Stress that white teachers want to talk to your kids about sex, keep that secret from the parents, and then take them from you if you refuse to use their preferred pronouns so that they can pump them full of hormones and sexually mutilate them.

Two adult males who can hold mostly coherent conversations versus the Coach who dances "weirdly" and "I was born in a middle class family".

Well at least J. D. Vance can't say that.

Vance riffs off what Dillon provokes, in a good-humored way. He's a good speaker, and unlike Trump, he communicates on an intellectual level that's refreshing and well-grounded. He's a good complementary VP Candidate, and I look for him to be effective and additive in his role. Trump will be gracious about making sure he has the exposure to be the Presidential candidate running in 2028.....

I don't know how you manage to keep your sanity watching all these political interviews/speeches/media events, and reading screeds from the various newspapers, but I want to thank you, Ann, for relieving me of the need to do so myself.

Last time I looked it was 11.5 million.

I don’t watch them all either. I am through 2 of the 3 hours of Rogan. The variety of topics was diverse so far.
What I am reading on X was that Rogan was too easy on him and that Rogan should have called out Trump about the COVID vaccine.
Also, Chuck Todd was apoplectic about Trump saying he wanted to be a “whale psychiatrist”! That was after Rogan & Trump were talking about alternate energy sources & Trump saying whales were bothered by the vibrations & sound. And some were beaching themselves. And yes, that has happened

OK Polling place update: Lines were much shorter today, and space was available in the parking lot. In and out-the-door time: 20 minutes - Done ! A moderate sized line stretching across the length of the corridor inside. An aspiring transgender candidate was ahead of us in line, one that has apparently had his lupron shots - my wife was wiggling her eyebrows at me before I took notice. The thing about these guys, they have absolutely no fashion sense: an overtight-top and an over-tight brassiere, highlighting the fat rolls, not a good combo. And a short cheerleader skirt emphasizing the no-hips look, ugh. Possibly getting in the vote for free surgeries under Kamala - Who knows ? Just a little sad.... The lady at ID check-in had a few extra questions for him/her.....

Be sure to vote, early and often ! !

The YouTube version is showing 16.5 million, and the Spotify link doesn't show how many views it's had. Not sure how they coordinate the totals, if at all.

No, I didn't attempt to vote twice. The checks and re-checks in this county are reassuring and voter ID (driver's license with picture) are the standard, and they ask for verbal verification of address, which has to match up both on voter registration rolls and driver's license.

Vance was on Theo Von a few days ago, and he was easygoing, clearly enjoying himself, and relaxed, all while being dead serious in an extended discussion about addiction and related personal and policy issues. If the GOP keeps fielding this type of messaging and this type of politician, GenZ males will never, ever return to the Dems. And let's face it, even a hipper/cooler younger Dem male pol like Gov. Shapiro is at heart something of a dour scold, forever wagging a finger Obama-style. Those days are gone, my love.

OK Early voting results are beginning to dribble in from various states, both for early in-person voting and mail-in ballots. Results are often tablulated by Party, claiming Republican, Democrat, or Unlisted. A sentiment question for the board: As I think independent voters will determine the race, how does the following break down?

1. Will Independent voters break in greater numbers for Trump or Harris?
2. Will Republican voters breaking for Harris outnumber Democrat voters breaking for Trump, or vice - versa - and why?
3. Will the Election Betting Odds be a better predictor of outcome than the RCP polling?

Yeah, Rogan probably knew that there was no evidence and that Trump was still lying his ass off about a stolen election. Rogan just let him get away with it because Rogan recognized he’d never get a straight answer out of Trump. Trump looked panicky and evasive, a huge tell to anyone paying attention.

I watched both Trump /Rogan and Vance/Dillon. Vance was good and Trump was extremely impressive. They’ll make a good team.

"Cases dismissed on lack of 'standing' not evidence"

You can try to explain this to leftards 'till the cows come home and it won't make a dent. They're as devoted to hanging on to this precious as they are to their "fine folks" precious. They'll never let them go.

Nearly all the suits were dismissed or dropped due to lack of evidence or lack of standing,[3] including 30 lawsuits that were dismissed by the judge after a hearing on the merits.[4] Among the judges who dismissed the lawsuits were some appointed by Trump himself.[5] Judges, lawyers, and other observers described the suits as "frivolous"[6] and "without merit".[7][8] In one instance, the Trump campaign and other groups seeking his reelection collectively lost multiple cases in six states on a single day.[9] Only one ruling was initially in Trump's favor: the timing within which first-time Pennsylvania voters must provide proper identification if they wanted to "cure" their ballots. This ruling affected very few votes,[10] and it was later overturned by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.[11]

The president and his allies filed 62 lawsuits in state and federal courts seeking to overturn election results in states the president lost, according to Marc Elias, a Democratic election lawyer who is tracking the outcomes.

Out of the 62 lawsuits filed challenging the presidential election, 61 have failed, according to Elias.

Some cases were dismissed for lack of standing and others based on the merits of the voter fraud allegations. The decisions have came from both Democratic-appointed and Republican-appointed judges – including federal judges appointed by Trump.

“Here's how the cases ended:

Courts held hearings on the merits in 30 cases, and 29 of the cases failed
Trump allies asked to dismiss 14 of them

Courts dismissed 20 cases before holding hearings on the merits
Trump was successful in a single, inconsequential case in Pennsylvania

"These cases provided the forums in which Trump and his supporters could and should have proven their claims," the report concluded. "This Report shows that those efforts failed because of a lack of evidence and not because of erroneous rulings or unfair judges."

"Judges, legislators, and other election officers, often including members of his own party, gave Trump ample time and every opportunity to present evidence to make his case," the report continued. "Post-election audits or reviews in each state also failed to show any irregularities or fraud that would overturn the electoral results."“

that Trump was still lying his ass off about a stolen election.

Trump isn't lying any more than you are because we have no way of knowing either way. Because the results were never audited.

You can cut and paste all the bullshit you want, but until you can explain why five swing states - with Trump in the lead - all stopped counting at the same time, sent the poll watchers home and starting counting again until Biden was in the lead, that election will always stink.

You know it. And that's why you can't defend it.

Asked by Joe Rogan if he'd been told about space aliens when he was president, Trump said, “I interviewed jet pilots that say they saw something. … There’s no reason not to think that Mars and all these planets don’t have life.”

And they're coming to take me away ha-haaa
They're coming to take me away ho ho hee hee ha haaa
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see those nice young men
In their clean white coats
And they're coming to take me away ha haaa

I followed the 2020 election shenaigans in the UK.
I saw and read about what went on in Fulton County - poll observers expelled because of a (non-existent) waterleak, then windows boarded up and counting continuing, sudden jump of 147,000 votes for Biden (none for Trump) in, I think, Wisconsin, and then reading the Maricopa county audit which found, in a state that Biden won by 11,000 votes, that 62,000 odd votes were invalid (out of state, wrong address, etc). maybe Biden won, but I don't blame Trump for thinking the election was stolen. Oh, and did you know that there were 120,000 more votes in Pennsylvania than the records show voters voting.https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/20588/most-secure-election
Maybe Biden won, but I wouldn't be so sure.

I have tried listening to Dillon's podcasts twice. I don't find him nearly as engaging as Rogan, Mike Baker, Adam Carolla, or any of the other podcasters I frequent. However, this is, at least the second time Althouse has mentioned Tim Dillon. Am I missing something?

Rusty said...

First of all. Yes they saw 'something' there is speculation in that statement. Is what thye saw an alien craft? Almost certainly not. But he didn't say they were alien craft. So that staement is true. Secondly. Given what we now know about Mars, it certainly had the beginnings of life. There are moons around our gas giants where life may exist. So, in fact, there is reason to suppose those plants once supported a primitive sort of life. None of what Trump said was untrue.
And if you're wondering what was on those gun cameras it was most likely balls of plasma. The phenomena has been reported before around earthquake activity and in fact may be a precurser to an earthquake.
If ,Gadfly, you have any doubts about what the words mean don't hesitate to ask someone here.

Kai Akker said...

OK, Aggie. I normally charge thousands for my opinions but I will give you these couple for free, just because..... reasons.
1. Trump leads among independents, last I saw.
2. I doubt any serious number of voters are breaking. Neither candidate has changed the basic continental divide. But Harris has lost voters.
3. Neither of those measures will be accurate because the Democrats are working the steal very well again. They have lost the zeal for picking up 20 or 30 harvested ballots a day from loads of paid workers, but they are gaining in having thousands of fraudulent ballots and whatever is being flushed out of the millions of illegals they have added in these four years.
4. So the day after the election is going to be bad news.
