No boxes or artificial lifts will be allowed to stand on during my upcoming debate with Comrade Kamala Harris. We had this out previously with former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg when he was in a debate, and he was not allowed a “lift.” It would be a form of cheating, and the Democrats cheat enough. “You are who you are,” it was determined!
Easy for him, the taller one, to say. How quickly you perceive the principle in formal equality when you are the one who comes out ahead and when you are a member of the group that, systematically, gets the real-world benefit.
But though I am ready to make arguments in favor of lining the heads up for television viewing, I'm not seeing that her people are asking for that.
Why not try it?

What, he should just hand her an advantage? She already has been given every advantage there is, except of course, brainpower.
In the real world, people come in an array of different heights. In the virtual world, anything can take on any appearance. Which one are we in? Interesting note, in the real world, cameras have swivels that allow it to adjust to what it's interested in looking at, and podiums come in different heights, too.
I bet the television viewers won't notice. If I had to bet, I'd bet this is about something else.
The art project may have been more interesting if there was more to see than just other people. The perspective is so vastly different when you see things from about 6 inches higher. You can see people at the same height all the time most often by sitting. More interesting... still interesting as it was.
If you're deciding who to vote for, based on height, you're a moron and shouldnt be allowed to live without adult supervision. Why not give all women candidates a box and voice distorter that will make the them stronger and deeper? And if fat, a slimming effect on the TV.
My not force both candidates to wear no makeup.
I am too darn tall, so don't need a box. However, I would worry I would fall off a box in a debate. This is why I can't ever wear a wig in the future. Worry too much about it blowing off or being busted.

Lining up heads for TV viewing is unnecessary - the camera zoom-in on the speaker eliminates all differences in height. And the panned-out view requires no ‘’lining up” to get all faces in the picture.
If Kamala stands on a box, would Trump be allowed to also stand on one to revert back to the actual proportions? Why not just give here a shorter lectern if she’s worried about proportions? Or why use lecterns at all - just stand on the podium with nothing in front of them.
And if we’re going to with the ‘equality’ line of reasoning for the debate, how about ‘no makeup for either candidate’?

At the art project should have green/blue screened the entire floor and walls the same color as the platforms to make at the party guests appear to be floating at the same eye level.

If Harris gets to stand on a box, Trump should insist on the cameras us a slimming lens to make him look less fat. But then Harris will insist on a lens that makes her look black. So where does it all end?

If one person gets a box, don't they have to let the other guy have a box the same size if he wants it? Then you're back where you started except now the podiums are too small.

Yes, the actual weight is listed on the package, but it sure looks like a lot more. Now maybe you may think voters shouldn't be influenced by outward appearances, but they are entitled to make their decision on any basis they want. And even if you pull the wool over the voters' eyes for this election, are you going to keep up the deception for the next 4 years? Are we going to insist Harris be seen as the same height as any foreigh leader she meets?

Trump's tremendous weight and height is the embodiment of an oppressive patriarchy. Women are hurt by the patriarchy (obviously) but so are very small men like Mike Bloomberg. Anyways, heightism and the patriarchy are linked but I'm not sure how...
Also, we hear so much about body acceptance from women, why not for men too? Maybe it's okay to be a giant, obese man like Trump? And what about very tall women?

Regarding the art project, in the 1997 installation, the tallest platforms are on the bottom shelf with the shortest ones on the top shelf. In the 2021 installation, the tallest ones are on the top shelf. You can have equity, but you're going to have to ask for someone else's help to get it.

The cartoon/meme of the three children watching a baseball game over a fence while standing on boxes, an image designed to illustrate equality and equity, has been all over the internet in recent years, so it's appropriate that the DEI candidate might need a box to stand on in the debates.
Trump is legitimizing these debates by participating in them. He shouldn't platform Kamala Harris.
Extending my remarks: Trump shouldn't legitimize a debate with a fake candidate - one who has not won a single Democrat Party election. We don't allow just anyone into a Presidential debate. You have to EARN that privileged by winning primary elections. By having the PEOPLE vote on you. Kamala Harris has not done that. Ever. It's UNPRECEDENTED in our history that a candidate who has not won a single primary election in her party is now allowed to participate in a Presidential debate.

Lincoln would often start fairly serious meetings by asking people to stand back to back with him. He would always win.
From neck up only? No makeup is a start, but what about Harrison Bergeron, ugly masks? Of course if the prettiest person wears the ugliest mask, viewers can draw their own conclusions.
Asking for a box would be the affirmative action response in this context. Quite apart from the green-ham-and-eggs shtick, it’s easy to see why Team KH might want to avoid that look.
Trump is doing what he does best: conducting psychological warfare against his opponents. They wind up losing their concentration and becoming their own worst enemies.
If I was involved in such a debate and found myself behind a too-tall lectern, I would step from behind it and address the audience while standing on my own two feet. I would look into the audience and the TV camera, speaking slowly, clearly and forcefully. That's one way that great teachers and orators do it.
But we know that at this event, one of the participants is neither a great teacher nor a great public speaker and nothing will change that.

VP Harris already has advantages that will get her eight years in the presidentcy. Many thousands of people will vote for Harris for no other reason than she is Black-Asian Female. That's the part that scares me. Those same people (my mother included) voted twice for Obama because he was the first Black president. nothing else mattered. On policy, I never believed Obama could be re-elected, but he was - because can't vote against the first Black president because racism. A vote for VP Harris is not for a four year term but for eight years. If she wins the first term, she will win the second also - because racism and sexism.

In any event, he has achieved his aim even if he doesn't say anything more. I'd never thought of Kamala as short before. Now I'm going to go to my grave thinking she is short because a) She is, compared to PDJT and B) PDJT has put it in my mind.
