"She either likes or loves me."

Says Donald Trump, talking about Melania's reaction to seeing him shot, live, on TV.

LOL nothing is straight forward with this guy. Always a statement you have to take apart and examine.

Oh no! controversy! She likes and loves him. Certainly this proves something nefarious! Russia!

Melania is a human who cares about her man. WE can't have that. We must vilify both of them non-stop/ full-Nazi

Classic Trump delivery. He makes me smile.

To me what it proves, in that little moment where he changes like to include love, is that he knows he must be careful with his words - because the corrupt left media will find any thread... any half-truth to obsess over and turn into a controversy.

We all know about the lies the media tell regarding Ferguson. "Hands up don't shoot" never happened. Read Eric Holder's report. Leftists are too vile and lazy to understand truth.
Charlottesville: Trump was discussing both sides of the statue removal controvery - and the media dutifully chopped Trump's statement condemning the KKK/White supremacy.

One of my children I like and love, the other one I only love.

Like a lot of older men he makes a wry joke about his wife of many years "tolerating" him, and immediately the Twittersphere is in an uproar.

Everyone has seen the hand-drawn doodle with a couple of neckbeards pointing at something with their mouths in an "O" like a howler monkey, right? I imagine them all looking exactly like that. (Google "pointing soyjak meme" if you don't know what I'm talking about.)

Now the hack press are lying about Kama's Border Czar status - or that fact that Kamala activity campaigned for money to spring criminals from jail - after they rioted.

Michael K said...

Well, they did manage to show it on live TV. If,.of course, you consider CNN "live TV."

Typical Trump humor.

The truth is you can never know the mind of another person 100%. Her reaction, at least, told him that she didn't wish him dead and was happy he survived.

Michael K said...

Why ?

Dems: This one weird trick will get kamala elected prsident! In her defense, she does know how to turn a trick. (Apparently I can't get Blogger to recognize my sign in on Safari and had to use Chrome to post this. Will this be an ongoing battle?)

Right now I'm commenting on Chrome but I usually run Safari but that won't let me sign in. It gets caught up in a loop with Blogger and Google and something about 3rd party cookies. Sorry, I have no idea what that is all about and I tried changing my settings but that didn't work.

Google is DESTROYING this website. It's going against the narrative.

MadisonMan said...

I'm not sure about this change to the website. Maybe Google is doing this because Althouse is not sufficiently Anti-Trump and therefore Google deems this site nefarious. Will see if this publishes (am using Edge)

I want to +1 this post.

Also seeing if all of my replies are getting wiped out or seeing where they end up. 12:53 PM.

I'm not having a problem with it,

Marc in Eugene said...

No problems with the site or the commenting. How long has there been the 'reply' function available?

Bureau trying to gaslight us about the texts the shooters sent,
all total shambling

Why are all of Trump's worst interviews with Fox News people? Does he let his guard down too much or are their questions just bad?

Finally got blogger to work with Chrome. Wouldn’t work with Brave apparently because it doesn’t support Java.

Back to normal. Thank God.

Where did "reply" go to ?

I had to change the format back to the original setting because I wasn’t able to comment using it. Meade wasn’t either. I don’t know what Google did to change it, but I don’t have any ideas of things I can do.

Looks like the OG to me right now. Hope it lasts.

Trump gives a perfect answer that respects Melania's privacy while lightening up a horrible moment.

The current settings work and don't require a Computer Science degree to comment. Most of us are trying to hide our political views from Google/Meta because we don't want to end up in one of Kamala Harris' Kokonut Korrection Kamps.

I couldn't comment either, but back again and happy. This is what I meant the other day that I fear Google deprecating Blogger. Considering what they are doing to their search engine, I wouldn't put it past them to quell speech in such a manner.

I can’t sign in on Safari…mobile only. Feels like google throttling…

Now comments look normal

This was classic Trump. I liked it too.

DJT’s mind recognizes that marriage is a deal/bargain/contract. Love is a second hand emotion. And his part of the bargain as both Donald and Melania know is to be an alive man carrying out head of family and male consort duty. Dead men can’t do that.

traditionalguy said...

Also Melanie is 24 years younger than Donald. And she faces empty nest emotions as Barron leaves home. She doesn’t want to lose her spouse and start over too, but at age 54 she could handle it.

Jim at said...

How long before the screeching harpy from Pasadena stops by to criticize Trump's marriage? Again.

As if it's any of her business.

Weird.

Welp, the comments format is back to the large print, nested reply mode.
I'd say it was weird but don't want to overuse the concept.

wendybar said...

I wasn't able to comment either. I was surprised when I logged on tonight.

Like is gay (e.g. happy, merry, light-hearted, carefree), and love is faithful (as in a mother to her unPlanned child).

He transitioned pretty quickly to the death of the fireman when they started discussing the actual injury. Smart, compassionate, or both, but I think neither Biden not Harris would have done that. I think he honestly feels close to his supporters in a way that is unusual in presidential politics.

John Henry: I am also on Android with the Samsung browser and haven't had any problems other than the one day when font got really tiny.

Mikey NTH said...

As far as love and marriage goes Donald Trump seems to be settled in. And there's nothing wrong with that.

You do know that Biden reached out to the widow of the fireman before Trump?
