Collection of commentary, here, at X.Trump gets weird talking about Taylor Swift and how beautiful he thinks she is.

But this is way less weird and creepy than when he talks about his own daughter.
At least he doesn’t say he wants to fuck Taylor Swift.

The pause before the last "beautiful" is — essence of creepiness? — Woody-Allen-like.

At least Trump doesn’t sniff the hair of young girls.
Swift is beautiful. However, her beauty is perfectly curated. Smooth hair, bold lippie, stylish clothes. I've never seen a frumpy, I'm-just-grabbing-a-coffee photo of her. I would imagine that Trump admires her for it, and that his "beautiful" is doing double duty here.
He uses that word a lot, with a variety of nuances.
He doesn’t know much about her aside from her being beautiful.
how about call her "talented".
If women are scrutinizing every little thing you say to the point of wild obsession, you know you're doing something right.
Anyways, I care about the policies which made Donald Trump the most successful President in generations. His head games with celebrities are suited for the low-wattage tabloid crowd.
They’re desperately hoping for the propaganda- something…anything will start to stick, right? RIGHT?
Didn’t Trump say about the military dog that caught El Baghdadi, “a beautiful dog, a talented dog”?
Howie Carr plays that clip a lot on his radio show.
I’m a fan of Swift- lovely inside and out, but she can go full gangly uggo if she chooses…
I always wonder when I see things like this if they are aware of their double-standards. With Democrats, they start with the assumption that what they are doing is good and work out the rationale from there. With Republicans, they start with the assumption that what they are doing is bad and work out the rationale from there. The actual behavior of the Democrats and Republicans is irrelevant.
And they have no shame about it. Is it possible they are so blinded by their own hype that they don't notice?
Trump's a guy, an older guy. A very busy guy. He's not a Swiftie. It was probably brought to his attention at the time that she was publicly critical of him. That and what she looks like are probably all Trump knows about her.
I interpret his comment as the opposite of some kind of creepy obsession. I got the idea he tried to think of something nice to say about her and not a lot came to mind.
Here’s the video of the Trump “beautiful dog, talented dog” quote…

Dear corrupt
I guess you didn't click.
Meanwhile...
Joe Biden and his family used his status and power as VP to line their family pockets with international pay to p;lay money from Ukraine and China and other nations.
Didn’t Trump say about the military dog that caught El Baghdadi, “a beautiful dog, a talented dog”?
That's awesome.
"They had a beautiful big hole."
Now if he'd said that about Taylor Swift, there might be grounds for complaint.
Now let's do that time when Joe Biden pinched the nipple of that twelve year old girl on camera, and as an adult, she said that it was exactly what it looked like.
If your 2 biggest interests in life are loving Taylor Swift and hating Donald Trump, this story is important. For everybody else, not so much.
Are we sure Trump isn't Italian?
He’ll do anything to steal the spotlight.
Trump is creepy…but Hunter isn’t
She’s young, she’s lovely, and she has trouble building good relationships with men. He has better at home.
Her legs are almost as good as that hottie Meade photographed yesterday morning.
No one has yet to explain why democrats, progressives and environmentalists ever complain about TayTay's white privilege or that her private jet creates more carbon emissions in a week than the typical person does in a year.
We're still waiting.
Wait.. You mean Trump tends to repeat himself? My gawd, TDS makes people stupid.
Trump said what?
Guards - seize him!
Oh, brother. What else are they going to bitch and complain about. These are the extremists. These are the crazies the left has been warning us about.
The reporter missed the obvious follow-up question:
Would Trump try to save her from a shark?
To paraphrase Raylen Gives:
If you have one bad boyfriend you had a bad boyfriend.
If you have had a string of bad boyfriends it’s you and not them.
Why is Erin Burnett squinting?
She is very squinting.
Taylor Swift is one of the few music stars in the music industry that I don't disapprove of. That said, I don't think that she's in any way comparable to Debbie Harry in looks or talent. To be fair, I've only listened to a few of her songs. They're okay I guess, and she seems nicer than Lady Gaga.....If I were campaigning for votes among her fans, I'd probably babble on with a few inanities. "Beautiful" is one of Trump's fall back words when he wants to say something positive about a subject on which he is ill informed. "That quantum physics entanglement theory is beautiful. Really, really beautiful."
Swift definitely garners my male gaze
Big Mike,
She is 34 years old. That, to me, is middle aged, not young.
I liked how PEDJT said that "I understand that she is very talented" Kind of damning with faint praise.
Kind of like Mark Twain on Wagner "I understand his music is not as bad as it sounds" (Someone else posted that yesterday in another context)

Taylor Swift looks like a cat to me.

Stop with the propaganda. It is carbon dioxide, not carbon, emissions alleged to be the problem.
Atmospheric carbon is even closer to zero, at a few parts per billion than atmospheric CO2

Trump causes controversy by noticing the obvious. Anyway, you have to factor in Trump's constant hyperbole and exaggeration. If he liked Bill Maher, he'd probably describe him as "very good looking".
It can't be a surprise that Donald Trump judges women by their physical appearance. He's been known to make comments along that line about his own daughters. Some people might consider that a plus, he's just a guy! a man who loves pretty women! --portraying him as a creepy lech is to remind all those people who don't consider it a plus.
Leave Taylor alone!
Sally327 said “He's been known to make comments along that line about his own daughters.”
Biden showered with his daughter.
Trump sounds like a woman when he calls Swift beautiful.
Show me a straight man who claims he doesn't judge women by their looks and I'll show you a liar.
TayTay is generically, blandly beautiful, a bit cat-like as someone else mentioned.
Creepiness is in the eye of the beholder. Ask an AWFL if they are now, or ever were Cuomosexuals.
Taylor has worked extremely hard for 20 + years to develop a career using a brilliant mind inside a unique female soul with blue eyed blonde and slim body. That makes her a winner in the Donald’s showman’s world. So she is indeed beautiful to him. Her only weakness is being pro abortion without limits. But he tolerates that. After all she is a special beauty.
Now the Dems need to do is nominate Travis as their candidate and they win it all.
It was misdemeanor praise in furtherance of an illegal attempt to influence an election.
Creeps and pervs don't generally use the word "beautiful" to objectify a woman.
There are many creepier and pervier words they use.
@John Henry, my 78th birthday is coming up soon. To me 34 is very young.
She is very pretty, but will be a fatty before you know it.

Congratulations on making it this far! I'll be 77 in December and feel like I am just coming to terms with middle age.
I am dreading becoming old in 20-30 years.
I get your point though. 60 year olds look pretty young to me these days.

"She is 34 years old. That, to me, is middle aged, not young."
"My 78th birthday is coming up soon. To me 34 is very young."
In my part of the world, "middle aged" woman is post-menopausal, but not yet elderly; typically 45-65 years of age or so.
"Young woman" is post-pubescent to early twenties. But calling someone a "young woman" directly marks one as condescending.
"Young adult" has the same end point as YA, but starts at 18. But "young adult" should not be confused with the marketing term, which generally applies to books and other products targeted at teenagers.
So Taylor is an adult woman. But this applies to any XX over 18 years of age.
Equivalent male terms mirror their female counterparts.
Swift should endorse Biden. She has a great track record in men.
Saying positive things repeatedly is how you build (or at least probe for) affinity in business. I'd bet anything that's where Trump's habit of doing this comes from.
How many Taylor Swift fans? Does hearing her (emphatically) described as beautiful repel or attract them?
Pure TDS.
Did he look or Gawker? Did he express appreciation of the opposite sex or take affirmative action to keep her affordable, available, reusable, and taxable?

Woah, woah, woah. Back the tape up... "But I hear she's very talented". Done. His comment is perfect.

One of the first things I learned about Trump, from a schoolteacher during the 80's, is that Donald Trump has always curated his personal brand by starting with his appearance. He wears the same blue suit from Brooks Brothers with essentially the same red tie and has done so for decades. Maybe the same toupee. I suspect a person that cares about his personal brand has respect and admiration for others that do the same, which I think Taylor does with herself (although, she can put on other outfits). I think that is why he added and stumbled on the "unusually beautiful". It is unusual to curate their brand with their appearance in that way. Although, Taylor's brand began with her talent.
Oh no, I talked about famous people. Somebody might think they are living rent free in my head, but I charge Taylor. She owes me!
Trump called her beautiful? Can't be.
I've been assured - on this very blog - that the right hates Taylor Swift.
I am 58 next week. I would give every single dime and every single possession I have right now to be 34 years old again.
"Creeps and pervs don't generally use the word "beautiful" to objectify a woman.

Yeah, one could probably just use some of Joe Biden's language to reach the pervy level.
"I am 58 next week. I would give every single dime and every single possession I have right now to be 34 years old again."
I'd give half of what I own to be 58 again.
I've always found Taylor Swift to be kind of odd looking.
Not unpleasant. Just unusual.
I see Trump's repetition of beautiful or the best or magnificent as his filler words. Others use umm or errr in their thinking pauses. He does it differently.
Thank you Narr for "blandly beautiful".
It fits my impression of TS perfectly..., well maybe blandly pretty.
And that is after the beautiful outfits and the professional makeup. Of course I'll likely never get a chance to see her scrubbed down of the paint and plaster.
