"Me, as a New Yorker I can’t judge him for who he is. Basically, I can only judge him by the way he carries himself, especially in the White House."

"I liked the way he handled himself in the White House, and I think he brung America back to its feet. … I like him. I agree in everything that he has said, because what he said is true. It has to be true. It can’t be false, because if it’s false and he can be brung up on charges."

That was a 64-year-old hospital worker who lives in East Harlem.

By contrast, a 71-year-old retired woman, asked if she could be impartial if she were a juror, said "Listen, I can’t stand Donald Trump, so I guess the answer is no. I mean, he’s as crooked as you can find in a person."

You should be disqualified just by virtue of being a democrat...they're not too bright as a class...

Is there one honest person NYC willing to serve on Trump's jury? There aren't any in DC. We'll see.

Lets see how the unbiased judge (who broke judicial ethic rules by giving money to leftwing Democrat candidates and has a daughter making money off attacking Trump) will run the Jury selection. Will he go out of his way to seat unbiased jurors or will he hamstring the Defense?

I'll take door number 2, Monty.

Well, heck. Trump wouldn't lie AND be brung up on charges, would he?

Really, Joe Smith? I've come to the conclusion that if you support Trump,or are a Republican, you can't be that smart. So....I can be as irrational as you are. And you totally are irrational.

There are more honest people in NYC more than willing to serve on, as you say, Trump's jury, ROCEANII. It is not his jury, however, it is a jury of his peers. Which means every low life in NYC qualifies.

The 64 year-old will be excused for cause allowing the prosecution to keep all its challenges, the 71 year old will only be excused if the defense uses one of its challenges. That is how the jury will end up with 12 Trump-haters.

Trump is "as crooked as you can find in a person." Follow-up question: What is your evidence for that?

Based on the aversion of the media to actually stating what is the gravamen of the state's case, that tells me there's a better than even chance Trump wins.

A truly unbiased juror hearing for the first time how tenuous the charges really are is immediately going to think selective prosecution.

About half of TDS is thinly-veiled misandry--the other half (a quarter of the population) are men whose wives command and control them.

This is New York’s last chance to have a just verdict and judgement wonder if it will fail again?

I read the Judge's (?) questionnaire for potential jurors had 10 or more questions eliciting any positive feelings/interactions regarding DJT & none eliciting any negative feelings/interactions.

The borough Queens produces more assholes per square foot than anywhere else in America. It's thier schtick, their charm. From Archie Bunker to Donald Trump and for every asshole stereotype from that Queens borough they are good guys. Deplorable? Sure. But great guys nonetheless. A serious asshole as President is just what this country needs. Personally, I think the Donald just wants to be liked.

And yet Vicky any one of us Trump supporters are smarter than you. How can I say that, not knowing you? Simple. None of us voted for Biden.

If we had an impartial, inquisitive media the filthy underbelly of the deepstate/politicians would have the county up in arms. The judiciary/legal field is unfixable. It needs to die.

For some reason, this brought to mind Lot's failed task in order to save Sodom.

I can't wait for the jury instructions.

This "Crime" is about a single accounting procedure. It only applies in the furtherance of a crime. That "crime" is to be inferred a campaign finance, crime. except thats a federal crime that was investigated and not prosecuted.

Howard knows how bad this looks to all decent intelligent people.

He just wants everyone out there to know he is smarter than everyone who actually cares about equal justice.

Because he really is smart. Really.

On the other hand Victoria is just really stupid.

It is a good sign at least that the Howards are embarrassed to be associated with the Victorias in public.

But is he as crooked as Joe Biden? Sadly, our current president seems to be far more "crooked", much more corrupt, venal, amoral, and dislikable than Trump.

I once thought Trump was a crass TV personality, and a middling real estate developer. Now, I think he has great fortitude and patience, a willingness to spend huge monetary sums on his legal defense (rather than slinking out-of-sight), and a common man touch. All characteristics that Biden doesn't have.

Only way Biden can win reelection is through massive electoral fraud. The progressive (read delusional fact-deniers) Blue States can't save Biden.

EAST Harlem, which is more populated with hispanics. However, people of all ethnic origins are moving into all parts of NYC, and one cannot assume the race of the person quoted in the times without more information. He may be black, he may be hispanic, he may be white, or...?

In any case, the opinion of one person cannot be said to reflect the opinons of all of the other persons living in the same area. This is true...everywhere!

I just went through the article, which was, suprisingly, available to me as a non-subscriber to the NY Times. The East Harlem man who spoke favorably of Trump is an Hispanic man.

Just remember Howard voted for Biden so his judgement is suspect as well. I know he tries to impress us with his wisdom, but he voted for Biden so how wise can he be?

At least minimally more so than anyone who voted for Trump. I voted for a candidate who was neither Trump nor Biden, so I have at least minimally greater wisdom than any voters who selected one of the two mainstream party candidates.

Juror: Yes, I'm sure can be impartial about that racist, Nazi, cheating orange bastard. Why do you ask?
Judge: Accepted. Please be seated.

My understanding is that at least 50 of the first 96 potential jurors questioned said that they could not be impartial. How big a sample size and percentage before it becomes established that Trump cannot get a fair trial in that jurisdiction?

All people working in the same organization is a better predictor these days. It's hard to keep hiding in plain sight for long periods.
