"George Santos Says He’s Making Over $80,000 a Day on Cameo."

Vanity Fair reports.
Less than two weeks after being expelled from Congress, the former New York representative is now making money hand over fist recording personalized videos on Cameo, for which he is now charging an astonishing $500 a pop, a 566.67% increase from his original asking price of $75....
Now it appears the demand for Santos content is so great that he will make many, many multiples of that. Over the weekend, he reportedly told people at a party on the Upper East Side that he had 140 orders on Friday at $599-a-piece, which translates to $83,860 a day....

He has a big backlog, so he lowered the price? Maybe to build up more of a backlog with less bad feeling about the delay.

I've seen many of these videos on TikTok. Or here, watch them on Cameo. They're quite charming.

In one of his recently recorded videos, he tells the recipient, “Chris, you sick psycho, you want me to yell at you? Are you out of your mind?”

For all his woes, he's still smiling. But he's making $83,860 a day. Talk about getting the last laugh.

I believe it. Kevin from the Office makes a ton of money doing this as well. But I think George Santos will end up not paying his taxes and going to prison for tax evasion.

So he says. He's a liar.

Legit compared to Hunter's phony art sales.

Imagine what Taylor Swift could get.

The power of branding in the 21st century is certainly something to behold.

I'm glad I don't need the money. People wear me out.

Yes, that's a joke. Still, people DO wear me out - that much is true.

Ok, commenters, fess up. Who here bought one of these videos?

Whatever else his shortcomings, moral and ethical might be, Santos does get after that grind and no matter how degrading the work might be the dude is willing to do it and which is way more than you can say about the rest of those hacks.

Just a odd man. We haven't heard the whole story yet, I'm sure.

I bought a Tino Martinez Cameo for my Mom's 90th birthday. He's a former NY Yankee, a team she loved.

She was delighted. He did a great job, using her nickname, etc. Worth the $250.

You used to be able to buy Bill Clinton for your kid's party for $1 million. I never heard if you got him at a discount if she's hot. That was never really an issue with Bill though...

Speaking of productions:
and bogus politicians:

Mao would be proud of Hillary's "class" at Columbia.

"A filming crew recorded every class, and their equipment tear-down cut half an hour from every session, she wrote.

“Together in class and on tape, we acted much like an audience at a late-night talk show, distracted by the cameras and yet immersed in the vanity of the production,” Twining-Ward wrote. “We followed an unspoken script where we were both active and passive at once — expected to laugh at certain anecdotes, but not encouraged to raise our hands.”

Every week, students waited in line for hours for a coveted seat near the microphone, all for the chance to ask Clinton a question, she wrote, adding it became known as “the Hunger Games Q&A.” "

Frauds.
Santos and Hillary

more... from Hillary's "class" at Columbia:

"What’s more, students had been told Clinton would spend the last day of class answering students’ questions, but two days before the final class, they learned most of the questions would be selected in advance, she wrote. One was: “What’s your favorite Taylor Swift song and why?”

Although students did enjoy listening to Clinton’s stories and hearing from other prominent guest speakers, Twining-Ward said she and others she talked with felt disappointed.

The class “made me question Columbia’s institutional priorities,” she wrote; the university seems to use “celebrity professors” like Clinton to “commodify their students, turning them into audience members and then often receding to the ivory tower when the conversation gets uncomfortable.”

Starting Feb. 6, 2024, the university plans to offer Clinton’s class videos through a platform called Columbia Plus, which Twining-Ward said sounds “more like a streaming service than a scholarly site. "

LOL. how sad. The Swift obsessives and the Hillary Maoists will run the nation some day.

$80,000 a day @ $500 per? So...160 messages every day?

Seems unlikely.

For the first time in my existence, wheeling around out here in the frozen void, I am confused. What exactly is he doing for these payments? Reading something in front of a video camera? Isn't your planet hip-deep in people reading things in front of video cameras? Do they all get paid $500? This makes no sense. Perhaps those idiots who said we were all living in a computer simulation were right after all.

"But he's making $83,860 a day."

An extrapolation by the writer at Vanity Fair with no evidence to support it.

There’s actually a menu of performers and the price list of what they’ll do for what. A-listers, too. Not just the desperate…
