This story is too good not to share.

A college friend who is the lawyer for the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce wanted to punch me last night. He got really hot and he is normally a very easy-going guy.

This was after the OPPD meeting last night.

I asked the Chamber CEO why the Chamber supported child mutilation a/k/a gender-affirming care. He acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. But he was a former state senator who, at the time, was a lobbyist for the University of Nebraska. He knew.

My lawyer friend then launched on me. Claimed I didn't know the facts. I pushed back and said I knew, for a fact, that Omaha Steaks and Carson Wealth signed a letter opposing the passage of the Let Them Grow Act which would have stopped child mutilation. (It passed 33-15-1).

In addition to not allegedly knowing the facts, I had insulted his client. No, I was just blunt.

Afterwards, I did look up the facts. The interim CEO of the Chamber had, in fact, twice come out against the Let Them Grow Act as being "bad for business."

My conclusion? The Omaha corporate elites are full supporters of all things liberal; that includes gender-affirming care and net zero. This is strange to me as Nebraska votes GOP at a 60-70% rate.

I guess DDB will never be a member of the Omaha elite. Sad!

Anne Boyer, the poetry editor of the New York Times, has resigned in disgust at the paper's support of Israel. Who knew there was such a person? What a screed, on Twitter of course. I'd link if I knew how to Twitterlink. Last line: "If this resignation leaves a hole in the news the size of poetry, then that is the true shape of the present."
Profundity, thy name is Anne Boyer. Not sure what I will do now that she's gone.

The excellent film "The Fall of Minneapolis" (the George Floyd story and aftermath) is now available for free on Rumble. It's over an hour long, but well produced, and worth your while if you have some free time this weekend. Highly recommended.

Xi Jinping and the Chinese delegation meet Biden in SF. Streets are miraculously cleaned up. China flags EVERYWHERE. And...Gavin Newsome is the star of the show, while Blinken blinks at Biden's struggles. Biden will not be on the November ballot. There's no way.

Biden's cognitive decline is obvious to America and the world.

Gavin Newsome is an asshole. And California is a disaster. But... he's also a panty dropper.

Women will LOVE that guy in a Presidential race. Dems will gently...slip their Gavin Newsome...into...the nomination. But hopefully, MAGA can stop Newsome from penetrating the entire nation.

They did the same with Biden on 2020 Super Tuesday...but that was a little rougher. In November of 2019, Biden's primary campaign was a joke; remember?

Notice how you don't see any Trump vs. Newsome general election polls? That would signal the pass to the masses. Media knows too.

My wife and I were taking earlier and we started discussing overly used terms that are never defined by the users nor exactly how they apply to there use.

This includes but is not restricted to;

1) Existential threat; climate change, Trump, Conservatives, school choice, voter I.D., evangelicals, cis-gendered, Boomers, white men or white people in general, only biological women in women's sports

2) Destroy or end democracy (sometimes they add 'as we know it'); see existential threat

I sure commenters here can think of many more.

Is there anything that Covid can’t do?

I want to give this one liner it's deserved props. Althouse posted about the cognitive decline of Americans under 44 years old being blamed on "Long Covid". That line sums it all up. "Is there anything that Covid can't do?"

BTW. Are you better off with "Short COVID" or "Long COVID"?

Short Covid is either chicken shit, or death. There's no in between. Right?

Long Covid is either hypochondria, or an excuse for mRNA "vaccine" injuries. Right.

Duhhh....

Except.
Mutaman. You hypocrite. You post much more here than Dave does. What government office/dorm room computer are posting from?

Julian Khater was arrested by the feds on an airplane in March 2021 then interrogated by the FBI w/o a lawyer for allegedly spraying Brian Sicknick with pepper spray on January 6.

He was denied release by Judge Tom Hogan (Reagan) and languished in DC Gulag for a year and a half before tormented into a plea deal.

Julian pleaded guilty to 2 counts of assaulting federal police w/dangerous weapon. Hogan then sentenced him to 80 months in prison.

That’s why we call them political prisoners. Zero chance anything close to that happens to these thugs.

I am on Capitol Hill right now and it’s on lockdown. No getting in or out of our offices. We have officers that were pepper sprayed by pro-Hamas protestors with a lot of people attempting to break into the Democratic HQ. Anyone else notice how violent the so-called “ceasefire”…
