Answering the age old question, 'What came first, the button or the hole?'
I was scrolling the Althouse blog on my phone from the bottom up, and came across this set of tags: China, Iowa, Pandas, Taiwan, WWII, Xi Jinping. I hadn't seen the title of the blog topic nor any of the article concerned. Suddenly an idea for a game popped into my head: take the tags (only) from an Althouse blog topic and invent a realistic article that uses all those elements. Is it more or less interesting than the actual article?
I suppose one could ask ChatGPT to do the task, but would it come up with something creative, or would it just go out and find this published article and report it back verbatim as the result?
Lots of discussion about TikTok's published letter from Osama bin Ladin in 2002 (which may not have been from him if he died in 2001) - who everybody knows was responsible for the 9-11 attack on the Twin Towers. Well, not everyone. The problem is that bin Ladin didn't do the 9-11 attack. Our government has the goods that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was the culprit. He was named as "the principal architect of the 9/11 attacks" in the 2004 9/11 Commission Report.
Along with KSM, Walid Muhammad Salih Mubarak Bin ‘Attash, Ramzi Bin al-Shibh, Ali Abdul Aziz Ali, and Mustafa Ahmed Adam al Hawsawi are the plotters and executors of the attack. KSM is from the Baloch province of Pakistan.
Last I heard these conspirators have remained at Gitmo awaiting a capital trial for the past 20 years.

Should have pushed their cars into the bay. (and the protesters, for all I care anymore) These freaking monsters deserve 50 years more than anybody the Biden Administration has locked in the DC gulag.
President Roomba™ lets it slip that Xi Jinpingpong is a dictator. Shortly thereafter, major US CEO's give the aforementioned dictator a standing ovation. Are there any patriots left in the US business community?

12 year old Rocco's school report on Taiwan:
In WWII, the US debated whether to invade Taiwan or the Philippines. Invading Taiwan would weaken Imperial Japan's grip on China; invading the Philippines would free an American territory, plus MacArthur promised to return. MacArthur won the debate. Had we invaded Taiwan, the battleship USS Iowa would have been part of the invasion task force assigned to protect the carriers during the invasion, much like other battships of her class did during the invasion of the Philippines.
Despite what Xi Jinping says, Taiwan is not part of China, and aside from a brief two century period has historically been independant. Despite popular belief, Panda Express and their Kung Pao chiocken are not a Taiwanese company; they were started in Pasadena, CA.
My father fought in the Korean War. I miss him with all my heart, yet I am grateful he never had to see an American serviceman holding a communist Chinese flag.
I went to the city board meeting concerning the ditch in my back yard. It was once a rail spur right of way into the orphanage. It isn't all my ditch. Just 62 1/2 feet from the centerline of the old tracks and about 200 feet in length. The rest belongs to my 5 other neighbors. Our concern was that the city would rezone it as residential and tax us at that rate. It is currently unincorporated. Turns out that can't do that. They can annex it but it is already at its highest and best use. As a wetland. The city zoning committee were purplexed because they are the only six parcels that are restricted that way. Which is OK by me because it is a natural runway for wildlife. Aside from the usual vermin-raccoons, possum and skunks. Not to mention Coyotes. There are deer, turkeys, foxes. Numerous songbirds and raptors including a seasonal mating pair of Great Horned Owls.

Charlie Kirk today: “Some of the largest financiers of left-wing anti-white causes have been Jewish Americans”
In other words: "Abortion is really hurting us, lets see if being Nazi's will work".
And why were perfectly useless buttons sewn on the wrist of suit jackets? To this very day?
To keep men from wiping their nose with the jacket sleeve... Meaning at one time it was common behavior that had to be eradicated.
