It seems like just a blink an of an eye ago that "Never Again" was the civilized consensus, and I think many of us are shocked at the new and loud open calls for genocide here among us. Will it change anything know that we know? I have doubts. Most Americans are sympathetic to Israel if not the Jewish people. But that one chart that shows opinion by age group, where support for Israel's response drops until it is a minority one under 50 and less than a third for those under 35, is eye opening. Of all the bad things our poor education system has wrought, replacing the Three Rs with Critical Theory-infused curricula is probably doing the most long term damage. These kids aren't learning to read or write or do math but they are learning to hate based on skin color and perceived oppression.

The masks are amusing. I read maybe 20 years ago, of a special unit of Scotland Yard, that was made up of people that had the ability to identify people who were in disguise in one video/photo to them in a crowd in another. Crimes were solved because the investigators were given a suspect by these special talent people.
Given what we've seen with AI, I don't see why AI being able to credibly tie someone in a mask or by their gait to the real person. Not as a direct identification but as a way to find suspects. And that means, tomorrow, next year, 5-years down the road, these "Nazis" will be revealed and reviled.
Even in the short term, there are probably special cameras that record the various spectrums, IR, UV, visual, that can "see through the mask" of someone in post processing.
They have a deep seated need to view themselves as courageous and heroic. Very flawed people… dangerous people.

Maybe, but many of them went to college and bought the post-WWII lie taught by the professors that the Nazis were right-wing. The National Socialist German Workers' Party could perhaps be argued to be on the right side of socialism with Marxism on the left, but they were socialists, the were only a race-based socialism rather than a class-based socialism of Marxism or nationality-based socialism of Fascism.
So, just like the German professors inculcated their students in what came to be known as Nazism for 70 years before Hitler, the American/Western professors took up the march in the post-WWII universities, now with less nationalism, more internationalism.

Federal agents don't have to follow the same rules as normal folk.
The Jews are the great unifiers. Most of the (non-Muslim or non-Arab) people in this country who are demonstrating and showing support for the Palestinians have nothing in common with them otherwise. And it's not a matter of the "enemy of my enemy is my friend" because Jews are generally (outside of the ultra-conservative Hasidic groups I think) fairly liberal and support all the right progressive causes, which one would hesitate to assume the same is true of the Palestinians themselves. It was Jews who made up a big chunk of the white support for MLK, the open and obvious white support that is, and marched with him in the 1960s. I guess if you're a Jew, though, the last thing you expect from anyone is gratitude.
