I was watching the Dan Bongino show on Rumble this morning to hear what he had to say about Biden tripping over a sand bag. Having spent 10 years in the Secret Service he knows what he’s talking about. He said that they use the sandbags all the time to secure teleprompters and what he called bike racks which separate the crowd from the President.

He said that one of the things the Secret Service does is make sure where the President is supposed to be and where he is supposed to walk on stage so that they can make sure the sandbags are on the opposite side so the President will not trip over them.

He is sure that Biden was not supposed to be on that side of the teleprompter but Biden must have gotten lost on the stage like he does so many times and walked off in the area he was not supposed to be and tripped over the bag.

Showtime quietly pulled an episode of its Vice newsmagazine last week — one that featured a report on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ time as a U.S. Navy lawyer serving at the Guantanamo Bay detention facility in Cuba. to be called "The Gitmo Candidate."

The Vice News covers Seb Walker investigating allegations from former Guantanamo Bay detainees that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis witnessed acts condemned by the United Nations as torture during his past service at the controversial detention camp as a Navy JAG officer.

The story likely involved three suspicious prisoner deaths in 2006 as reported by The Guardian.

It's a strategy, Dave. It's divide and conquer, create overreactions, or at least create reactions that you can paint as overreactions, and use them to isolate and demonize your political opponents and to excuse tactics against them that might have been all but unthinkable just a few years earlier. Such as shutting down access to free speech, or freezing the financial assets of demonstrators, as was recently done in Canada.

gadfly wants Joe Biden, who refused to pick up the phone to avert a war, a war which it's pretty clear Biden wanted, because it's worth hundreds of thousands of killed and maimed, and the destruction of a country, in order to prevent ethnic Russians from having the same level of autonomy in Ukraine that the Quebecois have in Canada. That's the deal that Joe Biden refused, because it would have been "letting Putin win," gadfly wants the guy who welcomed this war, because he thought that Russia was weak, over three likely terrorists, who probably were put up to it by the CIA anyway, to provide the pretext for the GWOT, and over actions that he won't tell us what they were, but only provide a characterization of those actions by a third party. It's amazing that the GWOT has provided us pretexts to invade country after country who were in the orbit of the former Soviet Union, and then Russia, and who had nothing to do with 9-11.

When somebody refuses to tell you specifics, but resorts to vague characterizations, the way gadfly has, "the UN has found to be torture," it's because he knows that if he told you what actually happened, you would not draw the conclusion that he wants you to draw.

According to data from Nate Cohn with the New York Times, millennials are shifting towards the Republican Party.
According to Times estimates, while millennials backed Obama, only half of those voters supported President Joe Biden in 2020. Exit polls show an even broader shift, with "Biden winning by just 51-45 among voters who were 18 to 27 in 2008."

A Times/Siena College poll found that the same group of voters "preferred Democratic congressional candidates by just 10 points" in last year's midterms,

@Dave Begley: But how in the world did we get to this place? I blame the Clintons’ generation. The Class of 68.

I blame the generation before -- with Hugh Hefner, JFK, the Rat Pack, and 3-martini-lunch crowd that raised Baby Boomer children via TV babysitters. That generation also fixated on suburban dream houses with backyard pools and patios, setting a course for selfish NIMBYism per myopic city and highway mismanagement. Hillary's generation was an odd mix of hedonism and entitlement coupled with naïve globalism, wealth guilt, drugs, and free sex. Their drunken parents didn't notice any issues as they too were wasted in Las Vegas, Miami, and Hawaii and didn't care. They said they wanted Atheism and raised Woke grandchildren instead.

I don’t know how our country survives.

Evolution self corrects with firm authority. At some point the rest of the world will stop giving the USA paper money to support our incoherent dead-end lifestyle. The rest of the world wants to party too, and their values only slightly lag behind the USA. When the screw turns and poverty is real, a work ethic and coherent form of morality must return.

F-16 fighters chased unresponsive plane near DC area before it crashed in Virginia; no survivors found, authorities say

"WASHINGTON – F-16 fighters from the D.C. National Guard scrambled Sunday at supersonic speed to intercept a private plane whose pilot was unresponsive, according to North American Aerospace Defense Command.

The fighters intercepted the Cessna 560 Citation V plane at about 3:20 p.m., and it crashed near the George Washington National Forest in Virginia. The pilot never responded to attempts to establish communication, according to Northern Command.

U.S. Capitol Police officials said they were working with federal partners to monitor the unresponsive pilot as the plane flew near the National Capital Region on Sunday afternoon. According to Capitol Police, the U.S. Capitol Complex was "briefly placed on an elevated alert until the airplane left the area."

Search efforts by state and local agencies were underway for several hours. By Sunday night, no survivors were found and Virginia State Police suspended search efforts.

The intercept caused sonic booms heard across the Washington region, and the fighters also fired flares to get the pilot’s attention, according to NORAD. Officials in Bowie, Maryland, and the Annapolis Office of Emergency Management in Maryland said the sound was from a sonic boom from an aircraft flight, with the former reporting that the plane was from Joint Base Andrews.

"The loud boom that was heard across the DMV area was caused by an authorized DOD flight. This flight caused a sonic boom," the Annapolis Office of Emergency Management said on Twitter. "That is all the information available at this time."

The D.C. Homeland Security and Emergency Management said they were aware of reports from community members throughout the National Capital Region and that there "is no threat at this time." People flooded social media with posts speculating the source of the ground-shaking sound, with several users reporting the boom shook their homes and rattled their windows.

I'm pretty sure that Young and maybe even Mitchell have already crawled back on their belly to Spotify. So our generous donations to the Ukraine are going to Russia after all?

Why in these very interwebs I was assured fakedoktor weezil and jimnumbers that the Pentagon had tight controls in place and only putinlovers would repeat the rumor that some aid went astray. I’m feeling let down by the intellectual honesty around here just for daring to question Biden’s headlong tumble into war. And gee the phony freedom fighter zelenskyyy says re-electing Trump would endanger his grift or something. The devil you say!

As a handicapper of life events including sports, politics, and anything that can promote a wager and after handicapping the past performances of the past losing 1x president I am wagering that that fella will be indicted yet again for obstruction of classified documents, possible dissemination and possible Espionage by a special counsel to the US. I WIL OPEN THE ODDS AT 6.5-1 and I believe it will be within the next 10 days. The perp, CEO of an already court documented criminal organization and a court determined sex abuser and under indictment for payoff money to an X rated film star, an investigation for voter fraud in Georgia and fraud in New York the handicapping signals are high. In order to move some of these cases forward in time so not to be in prime-time election cycle(perp is running for president, imagine that) so time is running out for indictments or acquittals. It is possible though for a person to run for office even in prison according to election laws and with this fella many 1st time precedents are being set(1st indicted president, first payoff court adjudicated for sex abuse and slander with malice, fines for fraudulent business practices with payoffs so nothing will be surprising. I will also offer my wagers for the upcoming Belmont Stakes race in a couple more days as I finish doping the field. I missed Derby pick as my key horse came 3rd and busted my win and exacta payoffs and skipped a horrible field for the Preakness race. There should be a little value in the Belmont. My ROI for the new year is not good so far as the Casino has been winning in the "luck" battle (not really a handicap adventure unless its at the card tables where you can do some reading.Lets go 7 come 11 baby!Let the rocks fall where they may :)

Trump's lawyers crawled into DOJ headquarters this morning to ask underlings representing Justice to complain about the prosecution's misconduct in the Mar-a-Lago documents case. The meeting lasted a mere 90 minutes and the attorneys left without commenting to the press, but it appears that they don't like Special Counsel Jack Smith, so they are not talking to him. Previously, Trump's legal team wanted to talk directly with Merrick Garner, but the request was ignored.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the D.C. Grand Jury meets this week to question yet another witness. It has been noted that defense attorneys sometimes meet with prosecutors after being advised that a charging decision is imminent. So they really only want this deal to end with an administrative ruling, not a criminal trial.

WOKE right wing word jumble to make the term seem bad, The origination and now a political term used by right wing politicians and their followers
What to Know
Woke is now defined in this dictionary as “aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice),” and identified as U.S. slang. It originated in African American English and gained more widespread use beginning in 2014 as part of the Black Lives Matter movement. By the end of that same decade it was also being applied by some as a general pejorative for anyone who is or appears to be politically left-leaning. The Florida governor used the word 7 times in like 1 minute while speaking to the people who have no clue what the term means or where it originated. Like they say"say it enough and people will believe it. :(

Mike (MJBWolf) (9:19am) has abandoned his sophomoric efforts at mocking my username, thrown away the sopho-, and is now wallowing in the baldly moronic.

That fits very well with the bald-faced lie he prints and attributes to the Washington Post. No, "our generous donations to the Ukraine" are NOT "going to Russia after all". Anyone who followed a link to the words he quotes would have quickly discovered that, so Mike slyly omits any link. WP may have printed those words in that order, but they surely told their readers who in Belgorod oblast is (allegedly) receiving the arms.

In fact, the Russians who are (allegedly) receiving "arms from some NATO member countries, including the United States, Poland, Czechia and Belgium", are not the Russian Army, but the Russian Volunteer Corps and Free Russia Legion, two groups of pro-Ukraine, anti-Putin Russians who have been making successful raids into Belgorod oblast for a week or two now.

The actual complaint is that Belgium and the others supplied the Ukrainians with arms that were not to be used inside Russia, so Belgium is annoyed that these pro-Ukraine Russians are doing just that. No one seems to be able to quote the exact words of this rule or proviso or agreement. Did Ukraine promise not to use them themselves or let anyone else use them? I'd like to see the wording. Either way, Ukraine is in fact not supplying the enemy, and Mike is a liar and a tool (witting or otherwise) of Putinist propaganda.

So, of course, is 'tim in vermont'. Two days ago, he told us (link) that the the head of Ukrainian intelligence wants to kill three million Russians in Crimea. I pointed out that anyone who followed his link to a Twitter feed and clicked on the video there could find out in 46 seconds that that was a lie, and anyone who read the second reply on Twitter could see the 40-minute subtitled interview from which the 46 seconds were crudely clipped and pasted together.

An honest man would apologize on that thread for repeating Putinist lies, and promise never to quote that twitterer again. A semi-honest man would at least delete the lying tweet. (I have a screenshot, by the way, if he does try to cover his tracks.) That 'tim in vermont' has done neither shows what kind of 'man' he is.

One more thing: anyone who follows @JuliaDavisNews knows that Margarita Simonyan, one of the top two propagandists on Russian TV, is openly urging that Russia kill "every living creature" in Kharkiv oblast. That was 2,600,000 humans before the war, but is lower now, since the Russians have killed, kidnapped, or driven so many into exile, but it appears that she still wants to kill at least two million people, plus all their dogs, cats, birds, fish, cows, pigs, and chickens. None of her copanelists objected. Statements like this explain why they're always talking about their fear of The Hague. In short, 'tim in vermont' falsely accuses a top Ukrainian of wanting to do what top Russians in fact do want to do, and what Putin is trying to do by bombing civilian neighborhoods every night.
