-1 in Missoula. No way to go out for a walk in that. Not prudent.

So I'm stuck with the basement spin bike again.

Sorry to see that. Suncoast weather today.

It started out foggy. Now it's beautiful. We're here. You're all welcome to join us.

I will try to emit more carbon today to help. Yea, yea. Climate and weather are different.

Now just imagine that your power goes out because the WI grid has too much wind and solar. Your furnace won't run.

Or, consider if you lived in Europe and all energy costs were super high and you couldn't afford the money to heat your house.

I came across an article last week giving the numbers of people who are dying in Europe because of cold weather. It's called energy poverty. And it is real.

The above is why I am fighting OPPD's net zero carbon policy. And I will - within the next four years - get a bill passed in NE to stop this insanity.

Getting warmer here, only -27F last night, up from -30F the night before.

For the fun of it quote the temp in centigrade. It’s -25. And then there is wind chill.

It wasn't that long ago we'd get a january thaw every other year or so. Everyone would go into premature springtime mode, college dudes wearing shorts, golfers out on the course.

Winters seem more seriously consistent now.

Baby that's cold. However, i assume if you dress right, its no more dangerous or colder than say 20 degrees. But I'm just speculating.

There's nothing wrong with some cold/snow, but I don't think I could handle 3 months of it.

In Peter Sinks Utah yesterday it was -62.1 degrees Fahrenheit. Not wind chill, actual temperature.

'Tis the four seasons of weather... climate change.

We have an immense painting project (after the removal of the knob and tube wiring with left 30+ holes in the walls of more than 10 areas (rooms, hallways, closets).

We've got the holes patched, but the prep to pain all these places is astounding, and then there's the painting itself (the easiest part).

We have plenty to do, and today's the day they're coming for the piano, and I have a plan to redo the piano's room — the "downstairs sunroom" — into a place I'll use for work.

Cold? COLD??? I thought Meade used to live in Cincinnati. You know, site of the coldest game in NFL history! The 1981 "Freezer Bowl" game between the Bengals and the Chargers! It was -13 degrees and the windchill was -59 degrees. I was there!

Send Meade out in his boxer shorts to shovel the walk. He should be used to it.

It's coming to us in NH next. Though I lost all my bragging rights when Son #3 moved to Nome. Crazy bastard. The ocean freezes - hard. His three daughters are going to be eccentric for sure.

In the Fahrenheit versus Centigrade discussion, Fahrenheit is superior for discussion of weather. 0-100 is normal (enough). Below zero is Too Damn Cold and above 100 is Too Damn Hot. Very simple to understand. The middle ranges are going to vary by region in what you call them - Is 40 Cold, or Chilly? But my "Too Damned" descriptions of the outer boundaries are pretty solidly agreed upon.

Way ahead of you, Elder. I always shovel snow in my boxers — shovel in one hand, cool refreshing adult beverage in the other.
