I'd ASSUMED, that he was talking about the Thorofare Ranger Station, in Yellowstone.
If you hiked 19 miles towards the Thorofare, from a trailhead.. You'd be more several miles from it still.
The Thorofare Trail begins at Nine Mile Post, 9 mi east of Fishing Bridge on the East Entrance Road. It ends south of the Thorofare Ranger Station on the park's southern boundary, the most remote spot in the Lower 48 - more than 25 miles from the nearest road.
The scarf guy, DOES have good taste in music
Good ones, but the #1 elephant wins the day.
#1
Who the hell wears slides to hike?
And unless that hut is in Alaska, they are totally lying about its isolation.
(I *am* curious about how the materials for the hut got to the peak)
All great but 4.
That hut! The view! Wow!
Loved the elephant, the scarf, the hut.
Didn't you show us the comical falls previously?
@Nancy
You must be right. I'm giving you something that went up yesterday, but I see now that it's ESPN reposting what Keven Parry made and posted a while back. Here is Parry talking about how ESPN "drew national attention" to his video.
Here's another one of his videos, showing him falling and breaking in half.
Hiking to the most isolated hut in the United States.
What an adventure, and breathtaking views.
This Irishman loves silence and has no problem being alone. "If you hold your ear up to a donkey, you can hear a horse." Brilliant.

The Appalachian Mountain Club owns a series of huts in the White Mountains about a day's hike apart (so you do multi-day hut to hut hikes). Each hut is run by college students who hike up the mountain every morning with the day's supplies of perishables (it's a sight--they practically run up the mountain with 40 or 50 lbs of food on their backs). Things that can be stored are brought in at the beginning of the season by helicopter.
What if you get to the hut and there's already somebody there?
comical falls and hut for me
also liked elephant and Irishman
Definitely not the most isolated cabin in the US. Homeboy needs to go north of that's what he's looking for.
