Richard Hanania's substack is interesting. I haven't had time to read the whole thing, but according to Mickey Kaus, Hanania argues that China will implode because of its internal contradictions and "liberal democracy" will triumph, but genetic engineering and social control will produce a society with far greater inequality. So maybe "liberal democracy" will also collapse because of internal contradictions?
I tried to post earlier today about an article that was in the New Criterion a few months back, but it doesn't look like it made it past blogger or the censor or I posted it to the wrong sunrise. Here it is, though: On the growing class of “intellectuals.” I thought it was insightful without being inflammatory.
I like the composition of this photo. I missed the sunrise today but this evening was one of those big orange-softball-at-arm’s-length sunsets. With a nearly full moon to the east. Probably my imagination but I wonder whether the underwater volcano, the methane from Nordstream, etc., are making things more beautiful to the eye.

I'm a big fan of her work
My feeling on this is that it's possible to be super-hot and a good journalist
And it's interesting to watch The Daily Wire build and build
That's Ben Shapiro's outfit. He basically built that brand from nothing. The only two names I know are Ben Shapiro and Candace Owens. And obviously they're not going the TV show route. But watching this I was like, "She's a 60 Minutes badass for the right. This is going to be something."
(I love that it's personal for her, it makes it super-interesting to watch).
John Leland from the New York Times is SICK in the head. THIS is disgusting reporting, but hardly surprising, coming from that Progressive rag. https://legalinsurrection.com/2022/10/nyt-tries-to-twist-brutal-attack-on-woman-killing-of-a-dog-into-a-need-for-social-justice/

I don't remember rejecting that, but if you try to comment on an old post with nothing but a link to some other website, you do look like spam. I would normal mouse over to see if it went somewhere un-spammy, but you take a risk if all you do is link to something, especially on an old post.
The mental midgets who work at the New York Times are literally considering taking a massive pay cut, disguised as a 4.5% pay increase.
That's right ... Democrat inflation is running 8.5% and these employee's union is actually considering accepting a measley 4.5% pay rise ... the result of that would, of course, be a PAY CUT. And the union hasn't even called for a strike.
What good is a union that NEVER STRIKES? And negotiates real PAY CUTS for its members? Are the leaders of this union paid off by management? What else could possibly explain how a union that never strikes would accept a PAY CUT for its members when inflation is literally erasing the employee's buying power?

I see that the NYT loves Mandela Barnes. Did anyone watch the debates? I don't have a dog in the hunt this year in WI - in PA it's Oz vs. Fetterman - but since it's a US Senate race it still matters to me.
Watched the RoJo/Mandibular debate. It was not a debate per se but a Q&A. Mandible was more articulate and prepared than I expected. None of that overcomes the dangers that lurk beneath the surface like ending cash bail. This week the trial of Daryl Brooks began here in Waukesha. Mr Brooks should have been in jail when he ran over our Christmas parade and killed 6 and injured countless others.
I’m surprised we haven’t seen a discussion of Tuckers 2 hour interview with Ye. I’ve previously said he’s a lunatic and this made me soften my view on that stance. Pretty hard to follow his stream of consciousness at times, but I’m not a brilliant artist made of gold. He posits, as a matter of fact, that he will be President. He wears a badge on a lanyard with a photo of a fetus ultrasound. He says more than half of the deaths of blacks in NYC are abortions.

The recognition that pushing for too much will result in layoffs in order to fund the raises for those that remain.

I watched the first hour. He's a lunatic. NTTAWWT.

You should write up the sex-for-trophies scandal in the Irish dance world breaking this week.
So the Swedes found evidence of sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines.
But who would have the capability to do it? Not very many countries.

BLM - a total fraud. The opposite of helping black people.

Did they? The articles I've read had splashy headlines and very little substance.

50 shades of black panthers.
Some, Select [Black] Lives Matter operates in the KKK social justice model of intimidation and redistribution.
Baby Lives Matter (BLM)
