The first 3 quarters of the video is in gloomy black and white, with an audio track of a thunderstorm. We hear about the dismal state of America, Biden's America. Then — like Dorothy opening the door into Oz — it's in color, the music swells optimistically, and it's Trump telling us we're Americans and "It's time to start talking about greatness for our country again." It ends with the on-screen text — maybe the new campaign slogan — "... the best is yet to come."
Good ad? I don't know, but when I hear the words "the best is yet to come" I think of the great old song, "The Best Is Yet to Come." I happen to love Bob Dylan's version of it. Here's my curated selection:
UPDATE: The Washington Post fact checker fact checks the Trump video and finds many of the assertions don't hold up.

No need to tell me the Frank Sinatra/Count Basie version is the best. That's very obvious.
The clip of Dylan is from the middle, and what I like about it most is how it starts. On all the versions it starts out cool and intriguing and builds, so jumping into the middle is disconcerting and not what was intended at all.
If you have Spotify, go there to play the list and start at the beginning. I don't like the Dylan either if I have to begin in the middle like that. And I think the Nancy Wilson version suffers from starting in the middle.

Dylan destroys "The Best is Yet to Come" as he does most songs he tries to sing. But, people love him. I still don't get it. I just don't think he can sing. It's an awful voice. Great songwriter, awful singer.

So the reality of the Court-authorized search is unscathed by Trump's story-telling. But methinks that in the end, Trump's Mar-a-Lago may be renamed "Mar a Lardo" - possibly 280 lbs worth.

The difference between this Trump video and the "Dark Brandon" meme is that everything Trump says in the gloomy black and white portion is true.
Tens of millions of liberal Americans are enjoying our decline. The Mara Lago raid just made it worse. They think they can sink white guys and middle class American families without sinking themselves as well.
That is, of course, until they have to start paying off student loans, try to buy a house, fill up a gas tank, buy food, pay rent, walk down a city street...or until Greg Abbot starts bussing undocumented/unvaccinated migrants to your woke sanctuary city. Then it's a big pain in the ass.

The Trump ad's effectiveness is measured the way all ads are: by how closely people associate the message with the truth that they experience and know.
Everyone, including the most idiotic of dems like gadfly, Inga, Howard etc, do not even try to argue about things they denied existed just weeks/months ago: energy prices, food prices, collapse of the economy, baby food availability, destruction of whole industries, complete sellouts to the Owners of Biden: ChiComs/Russkis/Ukrainians/Iranians, etc.

Gadfly, Inga, and Howard simply represent people we all know, and were once friends with prior to COVID. I can think of dozens of Gadflys I went to high school and college with. They are the family members you haven't talked to since the vaccine mandates. They are your neighbors who choose to live in safe, Republican communities and look down their noses at everyone around them. They're the Karens you avoid at Costco. They're the Jesuits of the Catholic Church. They are nothing unique. They represent the voices of tens of millions of Americans, and 90% of the population in Madison, WI.
