What’s going on at the Bagram AFB in Afghanistan? What happened to the billions of military equipment Biden left there?

Biden made those decisions to payoff his paymasters in China. Cui bono.

Don't worry, the weapons aren't going to waste. The Taliban will put them all to use. (Or sell them to someone who will.--recycling, the green solution.)

According to Howard and gadfly, no equipment was left behind. Nor were Americans....also its perfectly reasonable to leave behind $100 billion in equipment.

They will usually argue these contradictory positions simultaneously.

Pelosi's proposed trip to Taiwan announcement is a puzzler. Being public with the plans is an obvious provocation given the timing, and the response was pretty predictable, so the provocation had to be the reason to begin with. And whats the benefit of the trip anyway? It has something to do with the midterm elections because, well because with Pelosi and Dems what doesn't?

I'm going to put on my tin foil hat and make a prediction: The trip will proceed according to schedule, but Pelosi won't actually be on the plane. China will force the plane down somewhere. Bingo!! We're at *war with China, although not really war war. Time to rally around the President and his party! Out there I know, but there has to be some reason for the outright stupidity of the way this was done. It's a puzzle.

I liked the way they did it in the old days better. Invite Xi over for dinner and then let him know you are bombing Russian bases in Syria during the second course. Seems more straight forward.

Do you think the fisherman goes home to his wife and says there’s a strange woman photo-stalking him every morning? ;)

All night observing session last night. Watched the sun rise over our Vilas County lake, then went to bed.

One month removed from the solstice, still only 5 hours of darkness. Looking forward to the darker months to come.

Packwest, It's both more straight forward and more effective.

But then it has two requirements currently lacking in the present occupants of 1600. You should be an interesting dinner companion, so that the object of your lesson will show up. And you need true self confidence, not merely a willingness to engage in reckless behavior.

Political correctness can lead to cognitive exhaustion, according to new research

"Political correctness in the workplace is a prominent and controversial topic in the United States. But surprisingly little research has examined the consequences of engaging in self-censorship to avoid marginalizing or offending others.

According to new findings published in the Journal of Applied Psychology, people are motivated to be politically correct out of a sense of kindness and consideration for their coworkers, but being politically correct can also lead to mental fatigue. The new research represents one of the first attempts to systematically investigate the topic..."

Which explains why the woke politically correct are cognitively impaired.

We got to see the eagle catch a trout that was almost too big. He had to fly a couple hundred yards in ground effect before he could start his climb. We then swam across the pond where he caught the fish and noticed it was a spot where cold water was upwelling as the water depth transition from its deepest point towards the shallows. The surface water over most of the pond is getting too warm for the trout it's over 80 now. Lake George 5K is in 3-weeks.

Seems heavy.com is right on top with a suspect: Nicolae Miu

Seems like an ideal candidate for MSM to publicize all the dirt on him. From the pic- an evil white male. Who opposes gun control But yet, no MSM coverage of him. Curious, that, like the dog that didn't bark in the night.

I'm waiting for the full story to break. There's something odd about the whole thing.

Cancel the tin foil hat theory. Pelosi's plane is in the air, but now her itenarary doesn't include Taiwan. Another data point for China to consider.

I would not want to be the sailor or soldier put in harms way by Pelosi and her totally unnecessary stunt. This is not what they signed up for.

He lived on Mercer Island, and you would sometime see his Rolls-Royce rolling on I-90.

Just looked at the M2 money supply. It's been nearly flat since the start of the year after climbing quickly since February 2020, the start of the pandemic. It takes some time for the rate of change of the money supply to be reflected in the inflation rate. If the Fed can keep the money supply steady for the next year of so, we should see inflation come down. That's if Joe "Two Scoops" Biden doesn't crap on the economy and can keep his and the Democrats' hands off the spending spigot.

I believe blades are the preferred weapon of Choice, followed by blunt force trauma, and high-mass SUV bowling.

Diverse precedents would suggest personal use and redistributive change schemes, which in the case of the Taliban, would be sold to the Chinese and to normalize social progress of women and girls by Nature/nature.

Today is the Feast Day of St. Ignatius Loyola.

One of his death masks is at Creighton University's St. John's church. He died at age 64.

This is his Suscipe prayer:

Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty,
my memory, my understanding,
and my entire will,
All I have and call my own.

You have given all to me.
To you, Lord, I return it.

Everything is yours; do with it what you will.
Give me only your love and your grace,
that is enough for me.

There is a piece in WaPo about a very well resourced Pregnancy Center being built here in Texas.
It has the expected very jaundiced view of it all, but the more interesting part is the comments.
99:1 against, at least, with many of them vitriolic and dehumanizing toward the people who are running the place, Texans in general, and the Texas Legislature that has given some funding.
They are in a bubble inside a silo, in an echo chamber.
Very noisy in there.

If so, China wins. Even though the CCP has never controlled Taiwan for one second. We were following all international laws and definitions. We bailed.

Disgusting.

The pro-abortion folks routinely throw out the claim the right-to-life folks don't care about the babies after they're born, but some pregnancy centers even provide housing support for three years after a woman gives birth. When the Right-to-Life folks put their money where their mouths are, the pro-abort folks want them shut down. It seems the only acceptable choice is for women to kill their babies. We need to erase "pro-choice" from the political vocabulary and call the baby-killers what they really are.

Strange to recall that there was a time when conventional wisdom said that black men were unsuited to the game of basketball. They’re undisciplined, you see, and they prefer taking wild, inherently inaccurate, jump shots over two handed set shots.

I wonder what widely accepted form of conventional wisdom of today will someday be looked at as “they believed what?”
