Funny how the Scotsman in the kilt seemed a lot more manly than the Englishman in the suit.
Waiting for the Althouse opinion on kilts but I think he pulled it off.
At Bewley's Oriental Cafe on Grafton St. in Dublin (now closed), you could get your dish of oatmeal with Baileys Irish Cream or with Irish Whisky.
Baby camels are very cute.
Too bad they don't stay that way.
That could be said for most human babies as well. As a rule, men don't like newborns. A neonate is too delicate and squirmy, like an overripe melon with a death wish. When they start to laugh, that's when they're fun... until they reach 2 years, then babies become monsters. Some stay monsters, like Amber Heard.
#1 Baby camel
#2 You are not alone
The Midwestern redhead just doesn't like oatmeal. Her blood sugar profile probably looks like a San Andreas seismograph plot.
That Finnish dude with an Italian name has a good idea. I may try it with some Nova lox. The Finns eat a lot of fish-favored food -- fish cock, for example. (No, it's not that, you shameless perverts.)
Althouse has a kilts tag; I find that very interesting. (Hint: Kilts are not like pants. Kilts apply to two or more Scotsmen, otherwise, it's kilt for one Scot, or what Hatfields did to McCoys.)
I wonder if she has any other ethnic-specific garb tags, like shtreimel.
Looks like the poor girl from Macedonia got slugged in the eye, but I think I would like her oatmeal best.
Am I the only one who has trouble scrolling small amounts on the tiktok page to get to the control buttons? Maybe it's designed for phones and not laptops.
These are great. All the TikToks I see on your page are great. All the TikToks I see anywhere else are garbage.
My sons particularly like all the links to the coffee and mountain of sugar guy.
Don't get the cup of coffee. Reminds me, I have a 7 am call tomorrow, the only time that worked.
You are not alone -- very sweet.
I liked #9.
I put brown sugar on my oatmeal. How about my fellow Americans?
Four of the nine were lessons in nice, which are nice so far as they go but not entertaining, and I know how to close a door, thanks very much. While the illustration of 'performative work' was mildly interesting, I'm going with the oatmeal as the best of the lot. Dcplateking is a spectacle best viewed rarely.
1. You are not alone.
2. Oatmeal (blueberries for me)
I think it should be socially acceptable for men to use purses.
I cannot live without mine. They don't have to be feminine.
To the Door Nanny: STFU!
That "you are not alone" was genuinely heartwarming. The opposite of shark infested waters....The performative work one would have been more topical if she had gone on about how hard it is to pretend to be collegial in an office infested with jerks. It's probably more exhausting than pretending to be busy....Baby camels are somewhat cute. Who knew?
That was a good lot of tick tocks Althouse. I liked almost all of them. specially the door closing.
“These are great. All the TikToks I see on your page are great. All the TikToks I see anywhere else are garbage.”
I think I’ve trained my feed to give me things to my taste and within that, I’m selective.
“My sons particularly like all the links to the coffee and mountain of sugar guy.”
Cool!
Loved the oatmeal, all of the options from
countries outside the U.S. were new to me and so appetizing!
The Scotsman and performance work are second.
By far the most interesting collection of yours so far. I look forward
to your curation.
I put brown sugar on my oatmeal. How about my fellow Americans?
Molasses syrup instead of brown sugar with blueberries, chia seeds and a banana. Make it in the microwave. First 2 minutes after having soaked oats and chia seeds in water for at least 5 minutes. Then 2 more minutes in the microwave after adding the blueberries, banana and a little skim milk. Mix in the Molasses last. Any leftover are put in the fridge and make for a good evening dessert/snack.
I gotta go with the camel named George. Us Georges got to stick together.
Totally the you are not alone, heartwarming sentiment
Shutting doors like that is how intruders shut doors.
#2. What people in different parts of the world put on their oatmeal.
For me, raisins in my oatmeal. Actually I microwave the standard oatmeal and raisins together.
I'm an early riser so I'm very aware of quiet closing techniques for doors. Going the extra mile would include having your free hand on the edge of the door so you can feel when it's even with the doorframe so the closing is absolutely silent.
There were some great ideas in the oatmeal clip. I don't know that I'll try them, but it's nice to know they are out there.
I'm surprised no one added milk (or cream) to the oatmeal. That's the way I've always seen it served — along with brown sugar. But these variations treat it more like plain rice. In that view, you could put just about any food substance on it.
Loved the Victorian house. OK, the baby camel too.
Most of the things people put on their oatmeal would be better without the oatmeal.
Pickles and salmon on oatmeal? That's why we don't want Finland in NATO.
If we fixed up door-closing girl with obsessive coffee-making boy, would they love each other or kill each other?
Thirty years ago, people's version of TikTok was Open Mic Nights. Now, instead of doing stand-up, people are in their rooms TikToking. That could explain why young people may not be getting married and having children. Well, that and the continuing pandemic.
If you TikTok, make sure that your lips and your voice are synched. It's noticeable if they aren't. And is "performative" one of those words that means at once one thing and it's opposite? "Performance" is also something like that: it can mean getting results or just putting on an act. I think you talked about that a few weeks ago.
Victorian house- particularly the entrance with the fabulous wallpaper and stained glass.
You are not alone followed by the Victorian house. The sugar mountain man always makes me laugh. My favored oatmeal is topped with a bit of wasabi, eggs scrambled in sesame oil, a few drops of soy sauce, and green onion.
#9!! Runner up for the handsome Scotsman in #5.
Milk, maple syrup and nutmeg Oatmeal. Sometimes fruit.
As much as I loved the baby camel- I loved the man w/the big personality <3
