Some beliefs are obviously unsubstantiated by either physical, demonstrable facts or by how the belief helps shape the world in a positive way (such as Christianity creating Western Civilization).
We have gone too far along the path of relativism. Some people are insane, or at least divorced from reality. Those people are causing a lot of destruction in our society right now. I’m not saying this woman was not assaulted by Dylan. I’m just saying she makes a bad witness. Without more proof I wouldn’t take her word for it and I am a woman.
I suspect the accuser also has one of those "In this house we believe in science!" signs in her front yard and a Dr Fauci fangirl tea cup.

A uncle of mine, who taught at UCLA, was a co-defendant with Bob Dylan and some other men in the late 70s. A female student, who he had spoken with on campus, accused him and the other male co-defendants of stealing her thoughts, through telepathy. UCLA handled the lawsuit for him and there was no trial. I assume it was dismissed by summary judgement.
I'm sure Dylan has been subjected to many such frivolous lawsuits over the years. The difference now is that if there is a sexual abuse angle it gets mentioned in the international press without even a cursory look at the merits.
It would be dangerous to build his entire defense around, "she's a kook." Maybe she is, but kooks have rights too. If I were on the jury and I got the message that Dylan's lawyers think it should be open season on people who are divorced from reality, I'd be more inclined to rule for her just to show that that defense won't work.

How is it possible to separate fact from fiction over events that occurred 67 years ago? Am I missing something here or does the plaintiff have solid rock (pun intended) facts to back up the claims?
The defense also points out that the accuser's original dates of sometime in April and May of 1965 in NYC don't match with times Dylan was actually in NYC. Dylan, unlike Kavanaugh, has a few more fans and historians that can vouch that he wasn't there. So perhaps Dylan is questioning whether he can be guilty of statutory rape if the victim had to channel his thoughts of sex from hundreds of miles aways.
Alas, the accuser is doing the Blasey Ford trick of changing the comparatively narrow time of April and May 1965 to "sometime in the Spring" of 1965. No word yet if Dylan stayed out of NYC during the entire Spring of 1965, and whether or not the groundhog failed to see its shadow thus expanding Spring a few weeks earlier into the year. Wait... this just in the groundhog did see its shadow in 1965, so the window is narrower.

A 12 year old? Zimmerman was not a fool in his mid twenties. He had Joan Baez and whom ever else he wanted. Why would he throw it away to screw a 12 year old.

In a rape allegation case there is always the danger of backlash if the defense attacks the alleged victim too hard. But if someone is divorced from reality then how could you as a potential juror believe her version of what happened?
If the alleged victim is genuinely confused then the defense should bring this up in a gentle, sympathetic manner. But if the plaintiff is obviously malicious and opportunistic then a more aggressive approach can be correct. The website, Zeus News, has an email from Dylan's accuser in which she has counseled a vulnerable woman, after giving her a physic reading, to sue Dylan and some other Rock stars for abuse the did to her in a previous life. If the email is true, then this woman is more than just a kook, she's an exploitive, dangerous person and should be treated accordingly.

I don't think being a kook would be a deal breaker for Dylan, but the twelve year old part would be a huge stumbling block. I think the case should be thrown out, but I'll add a however. If a bunch of underage girls come forward and tell similar stories about Dylan, then maybe the trial should go forward.....I wanted to believe Cosby was innocent, but he either had the misfortune to encounter multiple liars or something was going on. Same thing with Cuomo. He wasn't a rapist, but if that many women think he had a hand problem, then he had a hand problem....I don't know about Woody Allen. His daughter tells a credible story. It could have happened. But what with presumption of innocence and all, I don't think it's fair to cancel him. The case is "based on plaintiff’s alleged interactions with Bob Dylan more than 56 years ago". I assume there's some reason this case isn't barred by the statute of limitations, but REALLY is a claim like this plausible after more than half a century?
BTW, Eugene Volokh has been posting a lot of materials about whether parties to litigation should be allowed to proceed psuedonymously. This would seem like a clear case in which the plaintiff's name needs to be revealed.

I have seen him in an interview rave about Joan Baez's singing, and Bob is a pretty good singer too. But he did also make fun of her at times, even she admits it in her song about him, Diamonds and Rust: "My poetry was lousy, you said." Personally, I only like a few of her songs because of her, what I call "America Opera" style singing, with the piercing vibrato.
