Some better news today- the Caldor fire has been very scary but the weather cooperated a bit the last few days so firefighters have managed to save nearly all of the neighborhoods in danger. Hopefully some cooler, calmer weather upcoming so they get a better handle on things…
Shout out to my cousin who has been flying some kind of Russian helicopter, dropping retardant on both the Caldor and Dixie fires.
I understand (and appreciate) these narrower pictures better because, now that I have seen the larger panoramas, I feel like I know the area, so these narrower pictures, which can seem repetitive without the larger context, are part of a larger whole that I don't have to see to feel.

I'm sure a lot of deep-state rats have their own tawdry motives, and it makes no difference in the short run, and it doesn't tell us anything about Lyin' Joe Biden we didn't know, but: the leak of the Biden-Ghani call is encouraging.
I don't think this excuses Biden, but this Ghani fellow is not such an inspirational leader. Stalin doesn't deserve credit for very much, but he stayed in Moscow as the Germans approached the city. Saddam and Qadaffi stuck it out. Ghani made a quick exit and took a pile of money with him. He was not a rallying point for the Afghan people. There was no rallying point.

You're right...he only took $170M with him. Any despot worth his salt should have milked that place for at least $1B...the guy is a piker.

Ghani was an academic (read his wiki bio, it reads like an idiot neo-con/obama dream candidate) installed as president (sound familiar) by the obama-ites in 2014 and Ghani is precisely what you'd expect him to be and he "performed" precisely as you would expect him to.
He never held any influence in Afghanistan beyond the confines of his personal confines and his American provided security crew. He had zero support from any of the major factions anywhere in Afghanistan.
A guaranteed failure....but he always happy to sign off on whatever plans the losers at Foggy Bottom could conjure up.
And no, I do not care if my criticizing obama will make the LLR's cry like little children.
If all the people who believe certain things personally committed to their beliefs, they could very much affect the changes they want to see.
How great would the world be if the 50% of westerners who believed in CAGW simply stopped using all forms of food and transportation remotely tied to carbon based energy?
How great would the world be if the 50% of westerners accepted a 3rd world citizen into their homes to give them the kind of life they think they deserve?
How great would the world be if all the white leftists walked off their jobs, moved out of their homes, divested themselves of their ill-gotten gains and gave that all to the BIPOCs?
I could go on. We know that they won't do this because they don't really want those things. If they did, they would very much be able to make it happen. What they WANT is for others to do it and they keep their life-style, goods and jobs while others give up theirs. That is why it will never happen. The lack the commitment of their supposed convictions and should be shamed and ridiculed without mercy.
