A duck is nonchalant, and the sky is trying too hard. On the car radio, what Joe Scarborough is angsting over this morning is Trump's expression of pride in the cognitive test he took a while back — the one that you pass by saying that a picture of a camel is a camel — and something Trump said that seemed to Joe to suggest that Trump would not accept the results of the election. I thought: So I guess Trump didn't do anything bad over the weekend. All Joe has is old material, moved to the front burner, where Joe's fevered brain heats things up for his audience, which might have an appetite for leftovers.  Okay, everything's fine. It's a new day.

Joe and his paramore are still doing penance for 2016. Democrat voters accept this as news. No they demand it.

Nothing bad, a stellar interview with Chris Wallace, that’s all. Trump was on top of his game, if “Who is More Demented” was the game being played. Trump was bragging about passing an Alzheimer’s test and telling Wallace it was hard, especially the last 5 questions and how Chris’s Wallace wouldn’t have been able to answer those last 5 questions.

Biden doesn’t need to do anything more than record short messages from his basement to win this election, Trump is helping win the election for Biden just by being himself. All is well.

Wait until you hear how he took a photo with some cans of beans!

Scarborough must be saving that for the second half of the show.

The NYT sent me the daily headlines email. This is the top one:

"As Trump Ignores Virus Crisis, Republicans Start to Break Ranks"

Joe S. must be happy. But it seems Chris Wallace asked Trump if he would abide by the results of the election in November if he were to lose. Trump responded with a comment about vote fraud related to vote by mail. So Joe reheats the outrage that Trump will have to be forcibly removed.

All while the last three+ years have been filled with Democrats refusing to accept the outcome of the 2016 election by attacking and undermining the Trump administration.

Felt good over the weekend. Couple of grandkids stayed over. Took them with to a friends for a whole hog roast. 60-80 people. All outside under the shade trees. Good conversation. I didn't know anyone except the host, but everyone we talked with became instant friends.
In short, mostly normal.
This morning more normal routine, and the news reports from a world I am not familiar with. Case are up. Deaths? I have no idea. A an examination of facts foriegn to the local NBC affiliate, we start our day with.
The governor has mandated schools will be open to all children at least days per week. Emotional reactions from teachers who tell us they are literally writing their own obituary. No reporting about from experts that say children suffering from covid 19 is at least number 50 on the list of potential causes of death. Nothing about experts saying healthy children are not at risk, and Teachers at risk could be accomodated in childred going to school.

In short, it's all a political campaign.

Yes, everything is fine at the moment. Well, except for stoner Kamala's face.

Enjoy it while you can. 'They' won't let you live in peace for long.

Cancel Culture that you people can get behind.

The son of US District Court of New Jersey Judge Esther Salas has died after a gunman opened fire on her North Brunswick home Sunday, the top judge at the federal courthouse confirmed to CNN.
Chief Judge Freda Wolfson told CNN late Sunday that Salas' son Daniel Anderl, 20, was killed in the shooting and her husband, Mark Anderl, a defense attorney, was injured. Salas was unharmed, Wolfson said.

On Thursday, Salas was assigned to handle a class action lawsuit brought against Deutsche Bank by Ali Karimi on behalf of investors who purchased securities from the bank between November 7, 2017, and July 6, 2020. The complaint alleges that the bank "failed to properly monitor customers that the Bank itself deemed to be high risk, including, among others, the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein," federal court records show.

The judge hit mentioned by Howard is puzzling. Who was the actual target? The judge? Just terrorize her? Or the son- who was immediately shot? If so- why the son? Or was it the husband? He 's a criminal defense attorney- did he upset a client?

All kinds of questions- with a possibility of no good answers. One thing we can be certain of- it wan't random.

This is the type of thing that takes place routinely south of the US border. And the articles I've read indicate she's the first Latina federal judge in NJ. The article didn't use the more PC "Latinx" designator- their stylebook must be outdated. With Latina jusges are we importing Latino violence? SO many questions....

Hillary Clinton started the rumor that Trump would not accept accept unfavorable election results in 2020. Exactly like she still does not accept her defeat in 2016.

Joe Scarborough, who needed Mika to defend him. I have zero interest in listening to what he ways. Nice picture of the sunset.

you can always tell when the MSM has ZERO ammunition to attack Trump because they go back to personal attacks on Trump and his family, or they start talking about "Republicans are aghast at Trump doing X" or "Aides in White House are afraid at Trump doing Y"

They always say "republicans" in congress because if they used the actual NAMES then people wouldn't click on it. They'd just go: "Oh, mittens or Susan Collins is attacking Trump again, ho hum". And of course the "Sources inside the white house" are just made up.

Ann you are right we are in10th place. However if you exclude the two countries ahead of us with a population less than 100,000 (San Morina and Andorra) we are in 8th place. And given our current rate we will be in fifth place in a few weeks.

I think Trump is referring to total deaths divided by total cases. In this scenario he wants lots of testing.

Because the son opened the door. The husband go shot too, but less severely because he came to the door behind the son.

So, this is one reason why I'm almost embarrassed to say I'm in public health:

In summary, though we support mask wearing by the general public, we continue to conclude that cloth masks and face coverings are likely to have limited impact on lowering COVID-19 transmission, because they have minimal ability to prevent the emission of small particles, offer limited personal protection with respect to small particle inhalation, and should not be recommended as a replacement for physical distancing or reducing time in enclosed spaces with many potentially infectious people.

Thinking about some things this wonderful morning in Milwaukie, Oregon, before I go to work on the goat fence. BTW, some claim Milwaukie is the closer spelling of the Algonquin.

Back in my Logan Square neighb there was an old Belgian Fraternal Hall. Belgium was only cobbled together in 1830 as a buffer state between France and Germany from The Netherlands and France. Still today, the Belgian Government is politically paralyzed by the near equal divide between the Flemish and the Walloons [a terrible nomenclature for your own ethnic group, IMHO].

It was a brick building on a corner and had a keystone block but it also had a stone in the brick at the top of the building that proclaimed "All Belgians Are Equal." When I did a large Labor History map for a client, I featured that hall as photo #1 as I was so tickled by it.

Ace of Spades has pointed out, as well as others, that Democrat minority identity-group politics, the game of divide and conquer, will eventually lead to a "white" ethnic identity, maybe even with a capital "W" eventually. This may not happen for a couple more decades but as "whites" become a minority, albeit the largest, it is not outside the realm of possibility.

I think us "white" Americans should get ahead of the curve and rebrand ourselves as "Euros." We could even repurpose the term "Eurotrash" to apply to "trailer trash," too, which is kind of funny. We'd get an upper case "E." The coloreds have successfully rebranded a few times.

For a slogan, I propose: "Euros are equally equal with everyone else."

"Reasons have included: (1) we don’t truly know that cloth masks (face coverings) are not effective, since the data are so limited, (2) wearing a cloth mask or face covering is better than doing nothing, (3) the article is being used by individuals and groups to support non-mask wearing where mandated and (4) there are now many modeling studies suggesting that cloth masks or face coverings could be effective at flattening the curve and preventing many cases of infection.
If the data are limited, how can we say face coverings are likely not effective?"

Talk about anti-science! the entire purpose of the FDA regarding drugs is to not allow them to be used until there is experimental evidence in their favor. By the above article we should give everyone Hydroxychloroquine because the data against it is limited. What idiots. The virus is a political tool in application.

Daniel Anderl's murderer apparently killed himself. Such a terrible crime and tragedy, tsk. Chad Pecknold, a professor at CU, tweeted first thing this morning:

I just can’t process this. Could this intelligent young man who I was privileged to teach really be dead at 20? His last words to me were “Thank you for a wonderful semester.” May angels rush to comfort his grieving parents, and may God’s light shine upon Daniel Anderl forever. I take some comfort in the fact that Daniel read the entirety of St. Augustine’s Confessions with me, and we discussed the Vision at Ostia together with genuine awe.

How uncomprehending he must have been, when he opened that front door. That's all very distant from me personally of course: but as we pray in the Litany, a subitanea et improvisa morte, libera nos, Domine, from a sudden and unprovided death, deliver us, Lord.

It turns out not to be Putin! But it was one of you people: a men's rights activist lawyer crybaby.

“Den Hollander is a notoriously anti-feminist men’s rights attorney, whose vitriolic website and book condemn women in rage-filled terms. In one of his books, he specifically blasted Salas by name as ‘lazy and incompetent’ and said her only accomplishment was being a high school cheerleader. (Den Hollander appeared in her court at one time as counsel in a lawsuit over the all-male military draft.)”

Hollander had a case pending before Salas, challenging the military’s men-only draft, according to The Daily Beast.
