"Last year, Sanford was charged with felony auto theft in Dane County. He was found responsible for the theft and admitted into a deferred prosecution program."

From "Teenager arrested in connection to homicides of Madison doctor, husband" (WKOW).

ADDED: From last December: "Suspect in Saturday's fatal shooting recently given deferred prosecution in felony case."

Are we sure the video shows the car theft that Sanders committed? News reports say he was found by police while sleeping in his foster parents' stolen car. Some thieves do steal more than one car, but do we really know that was him in the video?

Zimmerman was labeled a Hispanic-American (i.e. 1/2) before he was judged and labeled a White Hispanic.

“we gon change this world, cause it’s time to let our diversity and youth shine over all oppressive systems and rebuild our democracy

He is an avowed diversitist (i.e. rabid color judgments). He should have been charged with two counts of elective abortion with hate crime enhancements, which would preclude the liberal mismanagement of his case and mitigate its progress and collateral damage.

Nobody would care if he shot some other black people

A vicious cycle of Hutu vs Tutsi, or progressive activists lynching other blacks in South Africa during their social justice adventure to ostensibly end political separation, force democratic gerrymandering, and profit from redistributive change.

I am not sure that this is a problem that can be solved. When off the rail teens first come into contact with the law they are not going to be severely punished. This can lead to a fork where the kid cleans up, or where he does a murder. We would need a committee of professional reviewers including psychology, medical, statistical, and law enforcement folks to evaluate these "noticed" individuals and punish them differently based on potential future outcomes.

This violates some real freedoms and protections. It also will create unbalanced racial outcomes. So forget it, it will never happen. Our lives will be endangered by this but that is acceptable in the grand scheme. Smart people will expose themselves less to danger or perhaps arm themselves like the wild west. Celebrities can hire guards while they preen.

Once a kid goes down the criminal path he will reform himself or escalate until punishment is inescapable. Unless he has strong male relatives to kick his ass on their own.

Revisiting the Trayvon Martin Case | Glenn Loury & John McWhorter

Interesting discussion. I listened but wasn't going to comment until I heard Loury use the phrase "get go" around 43:18ish.

@Josephbleau, a committee of psychologists evaluated Nikolas Cruz and determined that he was not a threat to himself or others. Seventeen dead students and teachers at Stoneman Douglas High School would contest their findings, if only they could.

I worked for a few years in a prison- not as a guard. There were counselors to help the prisoners get on the right path. And to boost their esteem- because all good counselors know the root of all criminality is low self esteem.

I was assigned an "inmate assistant", pretty much someone to follow me around, carry my tools, and hand me the one I asked for. After teaching them what they were....

I was assigned one inmate my age one time. I was in my 50s. I have 5 children. The youngest is now in 3rd year ROTC. All are successful adults. I had 5 then, but 3 were still in HS or grade school.

He had lots of self esteem. Told me one time about what a great father he was and how he cared for his children. He had 10 children by 10 different women. All were adults by that time. All his daughters were were unmarried on welfare with kids. Two of his male children were incarcerated at the time, and all had been guests of the prison system. He had spent half his adult life in jail a year or two at a time. But he was a great father who cared so much for his kids.

Meanwhile, I'm certain I could have done a better job. But, actually, my youngest tells me he looks at his friend's parents in town, and he's glad we were his parents. According to my daughter we were the cool parents, because we let their friends eat whatever they wanted, as long as they cleaned up after themselves. And- we ALWAYS had snack food. I can't do that anymore... or my A1C goes up... Both of us were somewhat shocked to find we were the cool parents since neither of us were the cool kids. So I guess we didn't do that bad a job. But great parent? Adequate at least.

Formal diversion programs are mostly a waste and endanger the community. What Tommy Duncan's father did wasn't formal, and required involved parents, who he knew. That's occurred in every small town in America. Can't be used formally as a program because it requires treating people differently instead of exactly the same. Do you think cops ever do that with kids whose parents are themselves habitual criminals or with a father who's the town drunk? They get kicks in the asses and thrown into the system.

That guy is an excellent example of genetic superiority.

"victims of homicidal violence"

They had their brains blown out by a felon in possession of a firearm.

There, I corrected the story.

He was probably a good kid who just fell in with a bad crowd.

The video posted by RK claiming to be of an auto accident relating to Sanford’s charge of felony auto theft is not from the date of incident (4/20/2019) listed in CCAP. Therefore that video almost certainly cannot be of the theft in question. I would expect a much higher standard of discourse on a blog like this with such a serious local topic.
