What's interesting about the Trump impeachment is that it has brought a number of ugly Democrat scandals to light. It has also exposed the duplicity of the deep state.
The Democrats and media pounded Trump for 3 years, only to increase the size and resolve of his base. People who held their nose and voted for Trump in 2016 will now crawl across broken glass to vote for him.
Pelosi's first instinct was to avoid impeachment, but the rabid left wanted blood. At this point I'm convinced Pelosi regrets pursuing impeachment. Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler and AOC have become the face of the Democrat Party in 2020.
Trump's three year rope-a-dope with the Democrats has created a favorable environment for GOP House and Senate candidates. I hope the GOP appreciates what Trump has done.

Yes, "Prime Suspect" started in the early 90s. That first series was the very best one, but they are all pretty good. I think there were 7 overall.

Prime Suspect was peak Mirren. Earlier in her career she played ingenues. Helen Mirren was never meant to play ingenues. She was an okay Rosalind in As You Like It, but her Prospera in The Tempest was a better fit. Prime Suspect was her signature role. All the gears meshed.

Yancey: one of the joys of watching Morse and Lewis is the well-earned skewering of elite academia. Endeavor is every bit as good, or better. Highly recommend viewing them as they were released, ie. not starting with the young Morse (Endeavor) series. Morse needs to be known old before he can be appreciated young.
The prequel to Prime Suspect was disappointing. They should have had Helen Mirren play herself at 18.
Cracker, the British series, is great too.

I liked the prequel to "Prime Suspect", but I think it actually needed more series for the writers to develop the back story of Jane Tennison, and it didn't get that time unfortunately.
There was a head-scratching email chain at work last week. One customer kept complaining about software problems with TLS and our support guy kept getting back seemingly non-sequiter answers to his questions trying to elicit details. Finally it turned out that TLS was not Transport Layer Security as all us computer types assumed, but a business unit at the company making the support call. They did have a sofware problem, but of a completely different type than we were digging at.
I also had a co-worker relate this one to me while I was working at Fort Bragg NC: The guys at my company were waiting for an important equipment delivery and finally got a call from the truck driver asking directions. My friend tried to establish his location so he could direct him in, but never could pin him down. Finally he said something like, just go to the main gate and I'll give you directions from there. When *that* call came in he still couldn't get any sensible location markers from the driver. It finally turned out that the delivery had gone to Fort Bragg CA and the truck was calling from *there*...

But he gets details wrong, and a good guess is that he may have met one or two country club Republicans, but clearly he isn’t one himself. He’s being paid to comment on right of center blogs and try to wreck threads. One of the shadowy billionaires who bought the Democrats for what they’d regard as pocket change, a guy named Reid Hoffman, has admitted to paying twenty-something guys living in mommy’s basement to pretend to be Republicans disgusted with Trump. If Chuck doesn’t get his money directly or indirectly from Hoffman, then it’s someone else (Soros? Steyer? Bloomberg?) with deep pockets and a love of keeping his foot in our faces.

Perhaps population density plays a part. Back in the day, I knew a Chinese Professor who came from "a small town" of 6 million. When our project manager traveled to the university at the town, he went bonkers. He said he felt like he was on an anthill, where people were walking on top of each other.

I'm visiting in a rural area where I have to use a hotspot to get coverage. Some shows and sites simply won't download under hotspot's limitations, others suddenly pixellate the characters' faces. Speeches cut off at dramatic moments in mid-gesture. The library has stepped in to supply a continuous, non-pixellated experience so I'm not cut off, I just have to plan. I was amazed at how dependent I had become on broadband even though I don't spend hours and hours on it. I expect to be able to flick to google and look things up, I expect to be able to jump to songs or clips people mention and then jump back to what I'm reading. No, no, it's uphill through pixel blizzards if you change anything. I am reading more real books which I tell myself is great but still my true feeling is: Support Rural Broadband!!
