Strasburg himself tweeted that it was Fake News. Honestly, I am astonished and delighted at the courage of these ball players, knowing the hate they will face for it. This is a very good sign that people are fed up with this cancel culture. Very bad sign for the Democrats...

This has to have been a plant by the meme masters of the right. Here’s a free clue, if it seems too good to be true, it’s a trap.

If you guys weren’t so incurious when it comes to the source of anti-Trump stuff, and so ready to suspend disbelief in your quest to remove him, BAMN, you wouldn’t fall for this stuff. I would be certain that it was a setup, except for how stupid you guys have gotten. The “boo” at UFC is another one.

Just consider how much crap like this went on years ago with no pushback -- simply because the tools and access possibilities were unavailable. Sad.

Why do they keep slamming their faces into rakes? Are they that insane with Trump hate?

Ryan Zimmerman of the Nats gave a really good, speech thanking Trump. And, Kurt Suzuki, well, he stole the show.

Gracious in victory, Nats -- I like it!

The classic setup lies were the hoax HW Bush doesn't know anything about grocery store scanners and the Dan Quayle setup where the lefty principal handed Quayle the card with the word "potato" spelled incorrectly to be used by Quayle during a school spelling bee. Quayle literally thought the card was incorrect but used the spelling given to him and voila! Instant media-wide attack with pre-written stories running and even the Murphy Brown show flexing their filming that week to modify their show to show a truck dumping a load of potatoes onto the White House lawn.

The dems/left/LLR-left still think Sarah Palin said she could see Russia from her house.

Strasburg probably understands Trump as his equal. A mon is a mon after all of that, said the Scottish calvinist Presbyterian, Robert Louis Stevenson.

Uh, no adverse consequences?

Apparently the guy who tweeted it is a Republican, meant it as a joke. He should know better.

While the repubs/right/paid-trolls still think Sarah Palin never said "You can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska."

And then there are those who still think Sherlock Holmes said "Elementary, my dear Watson". Why would you think so many folks share those same misconceptions?

I believe you mean Burns.

Why would they think that? You can see Russia from land in Alaska. They are less than 3 miles apart at nearest point.

Whatever she in fact said, there are two mutually visible islands in the Bering Strait. One is U.S. territory, the other Russian.

trad guy, keep your Scottish Calvinist Presbyterians straight. Robert Burns said that.

That's actually true, you know. And substantially different from Palin saying she could see Russia from her house.

But keep doubling down on the bullshit, penguin.

I was rooting against the Nats because they represent DC, but their visit to the White House makes me feel better.

@purpleP, stop being ignorant and look up Little Diomede Island, which is an inhabited island that is part of Alaska. Weather permitting you can readily see Big Diomede Island, which is a mountainous, uninhabited island roughly 2.5 miles to the west that belongs to Siberia, which In turn is part of Russia. The boundary between Russia and the US, as well as the International Date Line, runs midway between the two islands.

Alaska is unique in being the only state that borders two foreign countries.

Matt Yglesias responded to reports of Ryan Zimmerman and Kurt Suzuki donning MAGA caps by reminding his readers that “white, non-college educated males” are a major component of Trump’s base. Unfortunately for Matt, Kurt is a Japanese-American who went to Cal State-Fullerton and Ryan Zimmerman is in the University of Virginia baseball hall of fame.

This is straight dumb. Republicans are WELL AWARE that Palin noted Russia's visibility from parts of Alaska. You're not very bright are you? Thanks for outing yourself - now I know that your comments can be safely skipped without missing any important, or even correct, information.

Stupid.

Assured of their own superiority.

Willing to lie to get power.

This is the average leftist voter. They will think they are doing us a favor when they starve their political opponents to death and ship us to the camps.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Yes, Palin did say that.....(wait for it....wait for it...)....BECAUSE ITS TRUE!!

What IS NOT true is what you lefty liars CHANGED about that quote via Tina Fey's fake quote delivered on SNL that you idiots ran with and STILL believe.

And now it apoears that purplepenguin, who no doubt fancies herself more enlightened than the Deplorables, just assumed Palin's actual assertion was wrong when it most certainly is not.

What an absolutely perfect and instructive example of a lefty's smug condescension and unearned self-annointed and utterly unearned sense of superiority combined with supreme ignorance.

Absolutely perfect.

Perfecto.

Perfectomundo.
