Both. Next question....

I've had the experience of sitting at a bar table where a magician performs magic, and that experience is amazing (OK, maybe I'd had a drink).

But I've also had the experience (and this seems more like this kind of experience) where people use modern technology (take a photo of an elephant, turn off the camera, lead the elephant off-stage, take a second photo without the elephant, then claim that you have made the elephant "disappear.") to suggest a magical outcome.

that was cool, you couldn't even see where the video pauses, and he replaces the glass

In other news:
The Optimist; sees the glass, as half full
The Pessimist; sees the glass, as half empty
The Engineer; sees the glass as twice as big as necessary

All of us engineers together in a chorus: the cup was mid-designed and is too large for its intended use.

The glass is neither half full nor half empty. It is merely the wrong size for the situation.

Impressive. I assume it’s a CGI effect of some sort, but I had to watch it a few times to be sure. It’s very well done.

I've watched this at least ten times. It's fantastic.

Depends on whether it's pickle juice or John Jameson.

(The intercut is nicely done. I think I see a slight shift of the index finger of his left hand when he changes over.)

If water, it’s half full. If ice cream, it’s half empty.

Hah. Reminds me of when I was a kid and my parents asked me and my brother that glass half full/half empty question.

My answer was: The glass was the wrong size either way. Seriously. Just use the right sized glass.

Was told to nevermind, go play with your chemistry sets.

Amazing video. You can't see where it changes.

I always say "It's the wrong size"
