"Officials declined to discuss whether the people arrested — on charges including disorderly conduct and unlawful use of a weapon — were affiliated with right-wing groups or with Antifa."

13 were arrested, according to "Portland Protests: Far-Right Groups and Antifa Face Off as Trump Weighs In/Conservative groups are urging the United States to label Antifa a domestic terrorist group. President Trump said the city was “being watched very closely" (NYT). I'm pretty sure right-wingers will assume that those arrested were Antifa, that the Portland police wouldn't have declined to discuss it if they'd arrested Proud Boys. But maybe it's the city's policy to refrain from purporting to know the politics of individuals arrested for disorderly conduct.
On Saturday, a few confrontations broke out in the park as the rally began, but the far-right groups eventually moved behind a police line and were separated from the counterprotesters by a wide gap that officers worked aggressively to maintain.... At least two of those walking with the militia members appeared to have been hit with white substances resembling milkshakes.... Officers intervened in occasional skirmishes at or near the park and seized a stun gun, bear spray, a shield, and metal and wooden poles from the protesters, the police said..... The rally itself was largely uneventful. But more fights broke out after the groups had dispersed and roved the downtown streets in smaller packs, with tense and sometimes bloody exchanges flaring up between demonstrators....

I'm sure glad Inga's posting all these quotes from some dude I've never heard of.

I believe I know what is driving Inga's sad performance today.

Joesph Mifsud's lawyers have admitted that Mufsud is a western intelligence agent, NOT a russian agent!!

This officially blows up the entire Pappadopolous story Inga and Muellers hacks and LLR Chuck have been pushing for 2 years.

This was the final thread giving hope to the collusion True Believers like LLR Chuck and Inga.

Psychotic breaks and transference are to be expected as we see with Inga on this thread and LLR Chuck on the NYT thread.

Not getting sucked back in, Frank.

A word of advise:

If McInnes is who you claim to be, and his "followers", driving him underground will not achieve your desired affect. For the ideologically driven, there is no "oh, well--I tried to get my point across, but got shut down. I think I'll take up chess."

This country, it's laws and Constitution, exist to best deal with human nature, eyes wide open, as best a government can.

There are those that just want to make their way through life. Others, that want people they don't even know each other to hate each other, kill each other, to avenge their own sorry state of being.

At least before the internet and social media, you had to hate someone on a personal level, due to a personal interaction.

You need to stop. Think about something else. Maybe smile.

Browndog (to Inga): "You need to stop. Think about something else. Maybe smile."

You'd think all the MS13ers murders and sexual assaults on children along with Planned Parenthood continuing their brisk business of baby body parts ripped from infants would be sufficient to put a smile on Inga's face....but no. The dem candidates are imploding so Inga and LLR Chuck continue their wild lashing about.

And what do you expect to accomplish by pointing out the idiocy and hypocrisy for the 10,000 time? Nobody doesn't know this already, and she sure doesn't care.

But apparently she's going to go right on being a great success in getting what she wants from her devoted fan-base here, despite our hostess's request to please not indulge the batshit imbecilic attention-whore.

I explained why I felt compelled to challenge all of "Frank's" links above.

Why is everyone so certain Frank is Inga?

I'm not even sold Inga I is the same person as Inga II.

Does it really require pointing out? Are you not casting pearls before swine?

I've never thought that the person posting now as "Inga" is the same Inga/AllieOop from years ago. There are some similarities, but also distinct differences.

In Oregon there are two types of fascists: the fascists and the anti-fascists.

"The American Revolution moreover had no military genius in it, no "great man". You can argue Washington, but his main skill was avoiding defeat and retaining (if barely sometimes) the confidence of Congress. He was no Napoleon, no Moltke."

It's been half a day since I logged on to this thread, but I can't let this comment stand. Buwaya, yes Wash8ngton was no Napoleon. I don't even know why you invoked Moltke. But no great man? In addition to the not inconsiderable accomplishments you back handedly grant him, he kept the continental army together in the field. And at the same time detached mini army units under Greene to distract and herd Britain's southern forces. Can you say proto-napoleonic operations? Hell next You'll be telling us that Quintus Fabius Maximus is overrated.

So do these proud boys, or whatever the hell they are, go to Portland to demonstrate just to bring the antifa fascists out for a fight? Or is there some other reason for their drama?

A good question! I can't imagine these people (proud boys) marching across the country, but then the AntiFa are probably local, too.

Portland doesn't seem to be a very 'diverse' location - just an extreme difference of opinion. Moderately rich white people who have drunk too much kool aid.

Am I the only one who can't read "Proud Boys" without humming it in Duran-Duranese? So I misremembered the song title and refrain.

You are not alone. I thought I was the only one. Now, since we are a group, our opinion is validated! We MUST unite and force everyone to see it the way we do!! Every dissenting opinion must be squashed - literally if necessary!!!1!!1!!!1111!
