“Take pictures or don’t take pictures. We can either play or we can pose. Okay."

Said Bob Dylan to the crowd in Vienna.
He then stood still for 10 seconds to mockingly “pose”, before returning to the piano to perform ‘It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry’.
And then he went back to the hotel and stayed up all night leaning on the windowsill.

Thanks for that palette cleanser. Dylan always sees things clearly.

Dylan: Do you want me to pose or do you want me to sing?
Audience: We're thinking. We're thinking. . .

How was Pilates— Reformer or Cadillac? (Surely it wasn’t one of those down on the floor classes with hoi poloi!)

Saw him last December in NYC and there were numerous signs saying No Photographs. It was nice not having everyone holding their phones in the air. Fantastic concert.

Why is he still active. Didn't Sweden give him a million dollars so he would just fade away?

It irks me that a man who has no voice wants to sing. A man who wants his audience to sit like trees in a forest and consume his carbon dioxide.

All things must pass...

He wants to be our lover, he don’t wanna be our boss

Etienne, I wish that you could open up on your real feelings about Dylan.

By the way, Paul McCartney apparently has the same attitude as Dylan about cell phones taking videos and pictures at concerts.

Venues have by and large given up. It used to be strict no cameras, but they've decided there's no way they could do "no cellphones".

I've taken advantage a time or two or even three

It really fits in with his brand as the old timey folk guy to have an outburst like this. I also read that this was the first time in years he ever spoke to an audience. Before that he would only speak to introduce the band, which again is very on-brand.

Springsteen on Broadway had strict no photos - but at the end, there was a photo op and Bruce camped it up on stage for a few minutes letting all take the photos.
