What if a really supportive rat rubbed their shoulders and sniffed their fur to cheer them up in these troubled times?

He might even give them a supportive kiss on the back of the head to let them know how much he cared.

Inga...Allie Oop said...

Maybe the rats need to get to the oranges of their anger and then they can work it out amongst themselves.

Kevin said...

What if a rat just needs someone to notice her fur smells really nice today?

Is there a signal she could give?

Asking for a friend who’s thinking about reentering public life.

The best part is we’re not even discussing his nude swimming in front of female Secret Service Agents yet.

We’re still in the phase where the press tells us how normal and down to earth he really is.

Never thought I would say this, but I missed these rat themed cafes the last couple nights.

OMG! The Demon-Rats are reenacting the GOP's old circular firing squad. Prudery by any other name is still prudery. Joe means well. He thinks women, even young teens down to 6 year old girls want to be seduced by him.

What if, and I am just theorizing here, Ilhan Omar is bound to support Mike Bloomberg as the democratic candidate for president?

And America has to decide which New York billionaire to support for president?

“Satya Rhodes-Conway defeats Paul Soglin to become Madison's next mayor”

Wow!

“Making history and defeating an incumbent who has served as mayor for 22 years spread over five decades by a decisive margin, Satya Rhodes-Conway will be Madison’s next mayor.

Rhodes-Conway, 47, will be the first openly gay mayor of Madison and the second woman to hold the office. She is a former alder and currently is the managing director of the Mayors Innovation Project at the Center on Wisconsin Strategy.

With 137 of 144 wards reporting Tuesday night, Rhodes-Conway received 61.9% of the vote compared to Mayor Paul Soglin’s 37.7% — a margin of over 18,000 votes. Soglin secured office over incumbent mayor Dave Cieslewicz in 2011 by just 750 votes.”

“With the election of Cris Carusi, Ali Muldrow and Ananda Mirilli, all seven Madison School Board seats will be held by women for the first time.

Carusi, Muldrow and Mirilli emerged victorious in their respective elections Tuesday for seats 3, 4 and 5 on the School Board. All three will hold seats currently held by men — Dean Loumos, James Howard and TJ Mertz.

Seat 4: Ali Muldrow cruises to victory against David Blaska

Ali Muldrow, the co-executive director of the Gay Straight Alliance for Safe Schools, won the Seat 4 election which pitted her against former Dane County Board member David Blaska. Muldrow received 69.3 percent of the vote to Blaska's 30.1 percent, with all precincts reporting.”

What's good for the goose is good for the fondler. Fuckin' Democrat animal!:

"Two additional women came forward Tuesday to say former Vice President (Creepy)Joe Biden touched them in ways that made them uncomfortable.

The women, Caitlyn Caruso and D. J. Hill, recounted their experiences to The New York Times.

Caruso, 22, told the Times that (handsy) Biden rested his hand on her inner thigh even as she attempted to show her discomfort by squirming in her seat during an event on sexual assault at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. Caruso, who was 19 at the time, added that Biden hugged her "just a little bit too long."

She told the newspaper that the interaction was uncomfortable because she had just talked about her own sexual assault and expected Biden to be aware of physical boundaries.

"It doesn’t even really cross your mind that such a person would dare perpetuate harm like that," she told the Times. "These are supposed to be people you can trust."

Hill, 59, told the newspaper that while taking a photograph with Biden in 2012, the then-vice president placed his hand on her shoulder and began moving it down her back, something she said made her "very uncomfortable."

“Hagedorn winning?!”

But will it be within recount margins?

Amadeus 48 said...

With all the good news from Inga on female candidates, we can expect nothing but well-behaved, respectful children in the Madison Public Schools, and peace, order, and good government in Madison itself.

First order of business: the city council and the school board shall jointly declare that every day shall have a rainbow, that unicorns are not to be disturbed when they graze in Madison city parks, and that no child shall be disciplined for any reason. So-called "misbehavior" on the part of a child is a symptom of an adult's failures.

We need to return to a more natural way of life--a life that is solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short.

Looks like an upset! The only precincts not reporting 100% are kewaskum and sheboygan, and Hagedorn is currently up by more than 4K!

Hagedorn looks set to win.

Recount rules: if margin is less than 0.25% the state pays. If the margin is between 0.25 and 1.0%, the loser pays if they want a recount.

with 97.2% counted, the margin is 0.40%

This is sweeter than when Prosser beat Kloppy in 2011, being it's totally unexpected.

Look for the counties not at 100%, and compare Hagedorn vs Neubauer. Hagedorn is behind Neubauer in only two counties not at 100%: Door and Richland. Hagedorn is ahead in all of the others not at 100%, and currently ahead overall by more than 4K.

The current gap, with Hagedorn ahead, is 0.38%.

99% OF PRECINCTS REPORTING, HAGEDORN STILL UP, BUT MARGIN SHRINKING.

Inga (9:27 pm); while Trump's "oranges" video is going viral (and is hilarious), it oddly doesn't seem to be getting the mainstream media that I thought it would. Perhaps because at the same time Trump was using the word "oranges" for "origins," he was also lying about the fact that his own father Fred Trump (who was born in New York) "was German, was born in a very wonderful place in Germany."

It may be that the media is a bit afraid to go down the path that Trump's nonstop verbal tics are demonstrative of some kind of dementia, which might be funny if it weren't so unfunny on so many dimensions. (Dementia is not funny for those who must deal with it, and it is not funny that the President of the United States my have early dementia.)

"It doesn’t even really cross your mind that such a person would dare perpetuate harm like that," she told the Times. "These are supposed to be people you can trust."

This is what's known as the "2nd Rape" for victims of sexual predators.

Imagine the people you respect and admire the most in your school or work or church. Whatever organization that fills your life.

You're sexually assaulted by a member of the group, and you turn to the White Hats for help. The HR rep who reminds you of Clark Kent responds "maybe you were asking for it?" You're stunned, not only at the sexist brush off, but that he could act so out of character. So you go to the leader of the group, a Mr Smith Goes To Washington kinda guy, and he says "if you continue to pursue this, people you care about will get hurt"... And now, on top of the original rape, your entire world is upside down. So you turn to your best friend...

...Remember Melanie Griffith in Shining Through? She's a jewish spy in 1940's Germany, and there's a scene where she runs to her friend's house to escape Nazis in pursuit. She goes inside and is opening doors, trying to find her friend for help, and she opens a closet to find an SS Uniform on a hanger.

That's what's it's like. People you have always known to be decent and good close ranks to protect the organization from a sex scandal.

The follow-on effects from sexual assault are often depression resulting from a loss of faith in authority, followed by drug abuse and sometimes suicide.

I've never been raped, but I stood up for 5 girls who were molested by a pedophile in the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism), and I've experienced the 2nd Rape. It's soul-crushing. And I can't imagine what it must be like for a woman who's already been physically violated to go through it.

If someone who trusts you comes for help, don't turn them away. Don't threaten them, don't silence them. And know that you will probably get hit hard by the enablers. I know we all think that if we were tested, we would stand firm. But the pattern that keeps repeating (Penn State boosters, etc) is good decent folk staring down at their shoelaces pretending they didn't hear and didn't know.

The Times article linked and quoted above is headed by a photo of dozens of people carrying big "Biden" signs. The caption reads, "Joe Biden had a lot of support at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. A 2020 run could come with possible costs." They left out that this was a demonstration for him as VP, when no one else was on the ballot.
