"Some might say it was 'Shine Theory' in action — a term coined by the feminist podcasters Ann Friedman and Aminatou Sow to describe women who make a concerted effort to support one another. (In Ms. Sow’s words: 'I don’t shine if you don’t shine.') In fact, in an exchange of mutual admiration on Twitter on Wednesday, Ayanna Pressley, Massachusetts’s first African-American congresswoman, thanked Ms. Ocasio-Cortez for 'living #ShineTheory out loud.' (Ms. Ocasio-Cortez had tweeted that she was 'so incredibly proud' of Ms. Pressley.... It’s a camaraderie that’s been on full display among the Democratic newcomers since November’s election. Their message: We’re cool, we’re transparent and we’ve got each other’s backs."

Aren't they just aping the white guys of yore?
Sisterhood of the Traveling Pantsed, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Stupid Sexist Politicians Who Embarrass Themselves.
Three soldiers back to back is sardaukar strategy in Dune.
Morons.
LOL! Rubes ALWAYS beclown themselves.
If you call yourself cool, you're not cool.
That's the Palestinian (Jordanian born rep) and the suddenly woke Jewish one (probably marrano)
They’ll be at each other’s throats in no time.
There are thousands of movies about young attractive women with "purpose".
And just as many, if not more, thousands of movies about young men with "purpose" - the kind that women are attracted to - and their philosophical adventures.
Real life is about people who care about people. In real life the fact that there are no movies (except for the abominations scumbags like John Waters and his ilk come up with) about you if you are not attractive is not important, what is important is whether you are a decent human being, a wide awake person who cares about other people, or not.
On that parameter, Trump (and little BYOB Beto and poor selfish Kamala, to be fair) outshine the little Vanity Fair Girl from Westchester the way
a supernova outshines its galaxy.
True, she (the little Vanity Fair Girl) has plenty of time to figure this out, and one hopes she grows up to be a normal human being, one who cares about the people around her, one day.
God loves us the way we are but loves us too much to let us stay that way
She probably got it from Dumas. One for all and all for one among Musketeers. The Q memes use another version: WWG1WGA. They both seem to be asserting that loyalty is a club tactic. The secret organizations like Masons and Skull and Bones do that too, plus they have secret handshakes and secret signs. Maybe smiling is the girls' secret sign.
Well, even before she has been sworn in, Rashida Tlaib is making her mark.
She is the successor to the infamous John Conyers' seat. During the 2016 presidential campaign, she was arrested for entering (possibly as a trespasser) a meeting of the Economic Club of Detroit to shout down a speech being given by candidate Trump.
You'll be hearing more about Rashida in the coming term of Congress. And unfortunately, for a very long time. When Michigan loses a Congressional seat after the 2020 census, her district won't disappear. She is in one of two VRA-protected majority-minority seats that will make her invulnerable to all but the most potent African-American challenger in a Democrat primary. But even then, her district (the Michigan 13th) is likely to be redrawn with boundaries that favor her all the more, by including more of the Arabic populations of Dearborn in addition to her Detroit base.
The Weekly Standard's profile of Rep.-elect Tlaib.
Well that piece ignores barghouti has served time for terrorist offenses, she might as well be Hamas rep as Omar's is Abu shabab.
All must be codified into a catch phrase.
It's not simply (feminist) encouragement..it's Shine Theory.
Great, Congress as middle school lunch room.
Oh..and #ourtime
I'll believe they're serious about this Shine Theory thing when they praise a Republican woman.
It may not technically be Fake News..but it's old news:

The sisterhood is coming...be afraid.
And people say it’s Trump who acts like a clown on Twitter.

Even neuron-depleted subscribers to "Psychology Today" ought to know that agreeing with each other and calling it "True" is nothing more than the fallacy of "Consensual Validation".
We agree, THEREFORE we're right!
Snort
“Sis”?
That’s Father Knows Best territory.
Sister is the urban vernacular.
Apparently the sisterhood is anti-semitic.
I knew an Italian working class guy from Brooklyn a few decades ago who used to refer to black people as "shines". This thing these ninnies are calling "The shine theory", focused on minority women, carries a certain degree of unintentional hilarity to certain oldschool ethnic New York borough types.
There is no test for brains to become a congressperson. Representatives and senators have been proving that for years.
It will be extra amusing when all the Goodwill collapses
Repeal the Nineteenth Amendment NOW!
These gals need to shine it on.
"We're cool" If you say so.
"We're transparent" Highly unlikely. You gonna be transparent about the Hamas-sympathizers who support you?
One of these cool kids is a dupe. The other is a duplicitous liar.
The guys in the movie "Dumb and Dumber" admired each other too.
People of Color are now transparent? How does that work?
So...a clique then? Let's see what happens to the 'got your back' once a serious disagreement sets in.
The sisterhood is coming...be very afraid.

I am. Women will choose safety/security over freedom every time. More hoops to jump through that were put their 'for the children'.
