"She was being bullied the entire school year, with words such as ‘kill yourself,’ ‘you think you’re white because you ride with that white boy,’ ‘you ugly,’ ‘black b-tch,’ ‘just die.'"
Said an aunt, quoted in "9-year-old committed suicide after classmates taunted ‘kill yourself’: family."

Not good to wake up to this.
Why does report say "allegedly suicide"?
Tribalism and intersectionality is poison in a million different ways.
The good news is she doesn't have to put up with the bullying anymore.
"Why does report say "allegedly suicide"?"
At the point when you find a dead body, you don't know the state of mind or the exact facts that led to the death. It's possible for a murder to be disguised as a suicide, and it's possible for a hanging to take place by accident.
We don't know for sure that the things the family is saying are true. Even if the child did kill herself, was it because of bullying at school and did the schoolmates really say what the family says they said? Remember to notice what you don't know for a fact.
“Remember to notice what you don't know for a fact.”
If that was the case for the media, they’d have nothing to say or write about Trump.
So, I finished the assigned reading, and I have a question
Was it Only the other Black students that bullied her?
Because the reading didn't mention the bullies races . Or did I miss it?
@gilbar “you think you’re you white because you ride with that white boy” said no white person ever.
As I have traveled through life, I've found that black people are the most racist.
If the bullies had been White you can be sure that would have been mentioned.
You have to teach hate early if you want your kids to grow up aggrieved and entitled.
Maybe she was getting it from both sides. And why was a 9 year old boy friends with a girl and in what sense? Maybe he was getting it from all sides. Then maybe they 'broke up' whatever friendship they had. And where were her parents? And the world was just too tough for the poor little kid. And how is the boy?
Racist? The bullying comments sound more like black vernacular, to me.
"As I have traveled through life, I've found that black people are the most racist."
I doubt it. You just notice it more.
Just for once, Cook, I wish you'd stop playing the willfully ignorant know-it-all.
Someday
Somewhere
We'll find a new way of living
We'll find a way of forgiving
Somewhere
There's a place for us
Somewhere a place for us
Peace and quiet and open air
Wait for us somewhere
There's a time for us
Someday there'll be a time for us
Time together with time to spare
Time to learn
Time to care
Someday
Somewhere
We'll find a new way of living
We'll find there's a way of forgiving
Somewhere
Somewhere
Somewhere
There's a place for us
A time and a place for us
Hold my hand and we're half way there
Hold my hand and I'll take you there
Somehow
Someday
Somewhere
"As I have traveled through life, I've found that black people are the most racist."
Even blacks think that. "Among black Americans, 31% think most blacks are racist, while 24% consider most whites racist and 15% view most Hispanics that way."
This is a tragedy.
But I would bet that the school administration makes sure every teacher is using each student’s preferred pronouns, so there's that.
The article fronts skin color as the primary factor in the presumed suicide. Skin color of the putative bullier(s) would therefore be of issue. Not finding that mentioned. Article falls short of full and accurate coverage.
Racism costs black lives.
Black Lives Matter.
While bias is intrinsic, diversity or color judgments normalize prejudice, even bigotry. One step forward, two steps backward. #PrinciplesMatter #HateLovesAbortion
some details about this child here
"McKenzie Nicole Adams was born Aug. 14, 2009. Pretty and smart with an outgoing personality, she loved math and science and wanted to be a scientist, her aunt said. She liked to cheer, take photos and make funny videos with her cousins.
She was learning to play PlayStation 4 games with her cousin and she loved to travel, Harris said. Her favorite places were the beach, the zoo, the McWane Center in Birmingham"
On Sunday I had seen movie - The Hate U Give https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5580266/
this real life story makes the movie timely and real
White black. In South Africa, they would have hung a necklace on her.
My FB friends seemed to think the bullies were mostly black. I wouldn't assume, but it does seem more likely.
We should be a little skeptical of mom's account, as well.

Many or most whites are very careful to not make a statement that might be construed as racist. Even when whites made a race-neutral statement, it is often construed as being racist. I get the impression that Blacks don't have that same level of concern about not making a racist statement. Which is why racist statements from blacks are noticed more.
I guess that I could start with the fact that I was in the Army during what was called the first Black power movement in 1966. Did any of you live in barracks with blacks? How about in the same room (bay)? Did you use the same bathroom? Did you use the same shower? Did you serve with them in combat? Did any of you live in the same neighborhoods with blacks? Did any of you work in a factory with blacks?
My experience with blacks was up close and personal, and I'll say it again, I found blacks to be the most racist people I've encountered.

This actually described why they happen more often. Asserting they are "noticed more" implies noticing is disproportionate to the occurrences.

Cook is going to challenge you at each and every level, Allen. Your experiences can't possibly count in his eyes.
I think Mr Cook is done for the day, chick.
