Street rebellion is part of France's iconography. It is part of the theatre of French life. Why is this time different? https://t.co/H9dZPLjKni

Because the wrong people are protesting the wrong things?
Because the French Obama is the target of the protests?

Usually they wait till spring..............
I don't think it is different. It is just happening now, and therefore we are not certain how this will end.
"Why is this time different?" is code for ignore them and keep going on the path set to destroy the French nation as we know it.
The rioters want France to be a French Nation rather than a Provence of the German controlled EU filled with Muslim guerilla units. That is why they admire Trump for fighting for America to be an American Nation rather than a Provence of a British controlled North America filled with MS-13 guerilla units.
"Why is this time different?"
Because, at the outset, it was not the left.
Is this time different?
A friend of mine is visiting Paris, posted a pic at the Arc de Triomphe. He reports that they only protest on saturdays. Only saturdays. Lol
These protesters are different because they have jobs, lol! What losers!
No mention of Macron's demographic dreams for France in the whole article.
When the riots are for some Left-favored cause it's no big deal.
When the riots are against some Left-favored cause it's a big deal--an emergency, a crisis, and something to be dealt with harshly.
It's not some difficult formula, here.
The best photograph was that woman sitting and eating in the Burger King while she laughed and looked at the riot out the window.
We'll be wearing orange jackets when we oust Schlump, and he'll be wearing an orange jumpsuit and shackles.
"Emmanuel Macron faces the first real test of his presidency"
I thought he ran and hid.
The Economist. Always worrying about the European right turning into fascists but never concerned about the European left reconstituting the Gulag Archipelago. Shortsighted of them.
Macron Merkel and May.
Prime Minister Zoolander fell in line.
They’re just falling.
We'll be wearing orange jackets when we oust Schlump, and he'll be wearing an orange jumpsuit and shackles.
And you'll be burned because nobody is going to waste their time constructing an effigy of you.
How's that Paris Agreement working out in Paris, yo?
"And you'll be burned because nobody is going to waste their time constructing an effigy of you."
You think you're smoking a cigarette when in reality, the cigarette is smoking you.
Barricades close the street but open the way.
Someone put together the economists collection of Macron covers, it was amusing.
This is different because it’s the Normals who have become militant. Guys and gals with jobs, families and mortgages. The folks who fix things. Who keep modern civilization ticking along.
That IS a fantastic photograph.

Because it isn't the trade unionists or the students that are rioting. It is the middle class. They have jobs tht need to be done the rest of the week. Like the TEA Party people they're tired of being treated like doormats by their political elite.
It is spreading accross Europe.
The irony here is that they are protesting the very things they have voted for over the past 30 yrs. High unemployment? Due to rules preventing business from firing anyone as well as the difficulty of starting a business. Low wages? How about the strangling network or rules business has to abide by such as mandates for long vacations paid by the company. They wanted a strong state and now they are unhappy about the result.
