Please tell me she works for the Onion or Babylon Bee. Please. Please. Otherwise I've lost whatever little hope I've had for the future of humanity.

It's a Ms. Munro-Leighton.

This is bullshit. Just because they never met, that does NOT mean that Kavanaugh didn’t rape her.

According to her Twitter profile, she is an “Activist. Healer. Radical Intersectionalist poet.”

She also wants “literally fuck every white person” on her tombstone.

So there is that.

Lets get real. When Trump beat Hillary, The Russians and Trump raped the entire female gender and stole their tampons.

I Can only assume she is not serious. The alternative is she is crazy.

The problem is that the Feminists are now beyond parody. One could easily come up with the kind of revolutionary truth arguments that they often make.

It is possible for a woman to be raped by a man to whom she has not been properly introduced, so there's that.

Henry said...

NOT EVERYONE, YET

Ann Althouse said...

I just read a book that has a man raping a woman without being in the same place as her. Spoiler alert...

... "Killing Commendatore."

tim in vermont said...

And along comes Henry to prove my point.

Titania Mcgrath is the nom de guerre of the person who did the white guilt hoax letter the New York Times. A comic version of Sabo. But the sentiment expressed is unfortunately believable these days.

Humperdink said...

Titania McGrath????? Iceberg ahead.

Yancey Ward said...

Yes, Ms. McGrath appears to be a satirist. The name sounds familiar to me, so I have probably encountered her elsewhere on-line. Read down her Twitter feed just now and some of it is quite good. I have bookmarked her feed for the time being.

However, she is fighting a losing battle- satire is slowly being strangled by the Left's actual reality.

Titania McGrath does this on purpose. She is a spoofer extraordinaire.

Henry said...

@tim in vermont... The clue is the ALL CAPS.

Oso Negro said...

Here is her latest poem:

Primped and fluffy on a hillock
Her destiny to be shredded
And strewn in a disappointing goulash?

In my dreams I hear them still
The cud-chewers with halal haloes
A thousand bolt-gunned heifers
Moo for vengeance

I suspect "Titania McGrath," like Geoffery Elfwick before her, is a parody account. Elfwick was one of the funniest things on Twitter. SJWs eventually realized he was mocking them and got him banned. It looks like Titania has taken his place.

Rigelsen said...

Titania McGrath, if that’s her real name, has been satirizing hyper-progressive political correctness for a while. She was the one who wrote that letter to the advice columnist at The NY Times a while back about her crushing white guilt, if I recall correctly.

Yancey Ward said...

I would imagine she gets banned soon enough.

Wince said...

Maybe by "met" she meant "properly introduced"?

When I first read of "manspreading" I was sure it had to be a joke. There are idiots who actually believe that a man who hogs space on a subway seat is doing so because he's asserting male privilege and not just because he's a rude and badly brought up individual.

D 2 said...

A joke that makes any reference to rape cannot be funny.

A person making such a joke is completely insensitive. Ban her before she makes a 2nd joke. The federal government, under Article 176, should also start an investigation, see if she is spurring violence through her harmful statements.

And cancel this "joker's" tv show, or get her fired from whatever office, if she's a normal. Send her to a six month re-education camp, maybe somewhere in the middle west, where they probably put non-heirloom carrots in their sushi. And seize a portion of personal assets and redistribute the funds to a shelter - look at those two poor Saudi women, where was the shelter resources for the help they needed?

In the hands of Jokesters, making Not Funny "jokes" - thats the problem

Enthusiastically suggest you read the Twitter postings of "Titiana McGrath". She is quite funny. She's a highly woke female version of Laslo.

It's good that the Republican's are giving up their cuck ways and letting these lying whores slink away after their attempts at raping the careers and reputations of people, and now are going to prosecute. They should get that pimp Avenatti also, but sadly that other lying cunt Ford is going to just pocket her million dollar go fund me.

Karen said...

I wonder if anyone actually read Grassley’s letter. The woman who confessed lying was not the original woman who accused Kavanaugh, but came along afterwards and piggybacked on the original anonymous accusation.

The FBI number was over 1400 women calling their local FBI office over "the last couple of months." to report that Kavanuagh raped them. I suspect "months" was "days/week" since the FBI statement was about one week after Ford testified.

tim in vermont said...

Karen, it makes it pretty clear that the motivation to lie was out there, for one thing. Do you believe Ford? I don't think that anyone here thinks that this person was CBF.

Is Titania her wrestling name? Or is it a Wiccan name?

Speaking of Wicca, if Justice Kavanagh were a witch or a warlock, could he just rape her with a spell, without meeting her?

Finally; how did Althouse find this Tweet?!?

Etienne said...

This is a perfect example of why social media is like any contraband mind altering substance.

It allows people to destroy their life and brain and to do it in a public way that takes advantage of our unwillingness to intern the insane.

Though it's amazing how many Twitter users can't detect the parody either.

That's half the fun right there.

PackerBronco said...

Today's it sarcasm ... tomorrow?

A few short years ago it would be commonly-agreed that to be a man you have to have a penis, racism was discrimination based on race, and people were presumed innocent until proven guilty. Since the left finds its self-worth in being a victim, there is no limit to ways of achieving victim-hood. Metaphorical rape will become rape and the perpetrator's presence will not be required.

Ken B said...

This is a great thread from a forensic perspective. I can imagine many of you here, had you lived a couple hundred years ago, crying in outrage “This man Swift wants to eat babies!”

Bruce Hayden said...

"The problem is that Feminists have said things similarly stupid.

I am glad that Avennati and that woman are being charged."

Actually, we have had two women referred to the DoJ, along with the Creepy Porn Lawyer. His client, the one who claimed that Kavenaugh had run a gang bang ring, at least came from the right county in MD, though she was a couple years too old. Her claims were almost plausible. This latest one, the one who admitted never having met him, as in a different part of the country, and there is no evidence that she and he were ever in the same state together.

rcocean said...

"I can imagine many of you here, had you lived a couple hundred years ago, crying in outrage “This man Swift wants to eat babies!”

Really? Most of the comments recognize its satire. Usually X number of people can't recognize Satire. Like Scott Adam's "people without a sense of humor" its a significant percentage of people.

The other factor is the Left is now batshit crazy. Its almost to satirize their beliefs because they're so extreme and stupid. 20 years ago, Leftists wearing Vagina Hats would be satire, today its reality.

Mary Beth said...

In my earlier comment, "she" referred to the crazy letter writer, not the tweeter.

I wonder if anyone actually read Grassley’s letter. The woman who confessed lying was not the original woman who accused Kavanaugh, but came along afterwards and piggybacked on the original anonymous accusation.

She may have piggybacked on the Jane Doe letter, but she also clearly claimed that Kavanaugh and a friend raped her in the back of a car. From her email "to all Republican senators":

"I am sharing with you the story of the night that Brett Kavanaugh and his friend sexually assaulted and raped me in his car. Here is the letter that I sent to Sen. Kamala Harris on Sept. 19 with details of this vicious assault."

So, two independent lies, one claiming the rape, the other claiming that she sent the original "Jane Doe" letter. Both of these actions caused the committee to spend time and resources researching her fabricated story.

Link to Grassley's letter:

Inga...Ms. Althouse...Michelle Goldberg...how can this be? You have informed me that women might be WRONG about rape, but that they don't lie about it.

Does Stud Kavanaugh have a bigger record than Wilt? Are all those women telling the truth?

Probe? (!?)

n.n said...

0/1400 = 0%. Is that about right

0% probability, yes, which is not zero in absolute terms, and is or was politically congruent to 100%. It is an estimate based on known facts and observations, hopes and desperation, respectively. Thus, the audacity to persist in a clear and progressive warlock trial.

What's sad? Even though it's a parody account, who would actually be surprised if some leftist feminist tweeted it as truth?

I'm a 66 year old person with a PhD who reads newspapers everyday. And increasingly, I feel like just don't understand things on the internet. I need to google "internet slang" about 3 times a week. And then I don't know how to figure out which statements or comments are sincere, and which are sarcastic or parody. So I read this, and I read the comments, and I'm still not sure if there are people who think this comment is reasonable/justifiable or not. So who cares? Probably no one. I do think there may be room for a blog "explaining the internet" which explains things (blog posts, and comments, and "news" postings) in a straight forward (non-ironic, non-sarcastic, non-clever) way.

Molly: relax, it's only going to get worse. Think of the internet as something devised in Catch -22. The insanity is contagious.

Phoebe Cates probably has a case for me raping her back in the 80's without ever meeting her.

Kevin said...

@gahrie, yeah I don’t buy the idea of collective guilt but if there was such a thing, almost every GenX straight male would be on death row for that one. It seems to have screwed up her daughter a bit too. She’s the lead in a band called Frankie Cosmos, and to say she appears to be ambivalent about her sexuality and looks is quite the understatement.

The answer is simple, people

Serious, if she FELT raped after reading an account of Kavanaugh's alleged behavior

That is sufficient.
