At the Game 7 Café...

fullsizeoutput_3d8

... talk about anything you want. That picture is from earlier today, when I walked down to State Street, which was teeming with Badger fans and where the weather turned insane — very windy with sleet, ice pellets, and snow. But it's nighttime now, and Game 7 is about to begin. Are you with me???

We are in Detroit this weekend with my older daughter and her husband, she will run in the Detroit Marathon in the morning. Weather turned nasty this evening while we were eating pizza in Greektown, first light rain, followed by sleet, a little snow, and wind. She is going to freeze in the morning running across the bridge into Windsor, ON. We did have a nice day today at the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village, what a great experience.

For those of us who beleive the whole #MeToo meme is part of an elaborate, polically calculated, years in the making scheme starring The Clintons and designed to keep undesirables off the Supreme Court- today comes the announcement from CNN of all places that the case against Hillary’s good friend Harvey Weinstein is falling apart. He may never see a jail cell. Surprise, surprise...

Burn it all up fighting each other. Wear out those arms so there’s nothing left when you face the Red Sox.

Watched game 7 of the 1952 world series last night. Yankees vs Dodgers, Brooklyn Dodgers. Billy Martin saved the day for the Yankees by catching an infield fly on the run. That play has its place in world series lore, and I recognized it as soon as Robinson popped it up and McDougall, Rizzuto, and Lopat all stood looking lost. This is Martin Makes The Catch!, I was thinking just as he came dashing into frame. Really cool to actually see it after all these years.

Dodgers lost, by the way.

Democrat turnout clearly will be lower than it was in 2016.

The question is how will republicans turn out.

Off the baseball topic, because it is boring.

When Democrats 'lost faith' in Democracy, they have spent the last couple years trying to break the government with bouts of irrational violence.

However, I submit that Republicans had as visceral a reaction, albeit in a different direction. We bought and stockpiled a LOT of guns and ammo. ENORMOUS amounts.

But...there was no surge in political violence nor did Republicans try to make the entire government inoperable. We did not, however, give Grasping Obama everything he wanted, which Dems call 'ungovernable'.

But they are biased violent gits.

There's a work NY contest winding down; I picked up 36 NY stations today but the few left on now are ones I've already worked. Also there seems to be a Germany contest, and only two of them on the band (I guess it's 3am there), so I picked them off too. DP6T and DR4A. Probably contest stations because who else is up at that hour. No ballgame in Germany.

I know what you're thinking.

How long did Biden speak before approximately 180 of those people realized it was not a Brooks and Dunn autograph signing?

The Pot Bowl was played today. UW won. Not the Badger one, the pot (some say crackpot, e.g. Mock) one won.

We went into the big city* and caught part of the game at a "restaurant."

*That's Forks WA, 'round here.

P.S. Did you know you can take your boat to those games?

It's tailgating. But more unique: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/b5/b2/13/b5b213e0f3083fe3a2c86285186f76f0.jpg

Anywho, at first this seems like an insignificant thing. But, WTF would be the point of having aristocrat socks if the GD staff is gonna Fing mismatch the pairs? That's worse that store bought shit. I hated it. Hated it. Hated it. etc.

Wrong. I know it's hard to keep track of, but, that would be three women - three who, regularly, start sentences with "My psychic told me..." - being treated as though they're just those three women.

The true number starts at 4 - but may be 6 - and up,...
